The seeds we plant

Mia's POV:

A huge rock falls on the spot where I was standing. I flee frantically as 2 other heroes rush at me. A navy blue scimitar lunges at my neck as it is surrounded by water that extends its size up to 2 meters. Using all my weight, I stretch to the side, but before I can breathe, a huge spear attacks me from the side at a speed I can barely detect. A deep but shallow cut lodges in my thorax as the armor that defended my torso is completely shattered. I take a few steps back as I watch the 2 heroes chasing me until I reach a large tree. As I consider the possibilities I have to fight, a powerful blow from something heavy hits me from behind and throws me against the 2 heroes who have their weapons ready to hit me. The 2 heroes try to hit me from a different side each while I still can't stop my momentum. Using my own blood, I create 2 blood swords and send them towards the heroes. Although they break them immediately. It gives me time to get some distance.

"Shit, they're not as easy to control as you make them out to be, Keir!"

This situation is really getting to me. If I didn't have this wound on my arm, I could easily finish them off in my wind tank form, but if I transform into it now, blood will start to flow from my arm and cause me to lose consciousness in less than 1 minute. Although my wind tank form is powerful, it's not powerful enough to defeat 4 heroes in 1 minute. And it's not just their individual power. Their coordination is almost perfect. Even now, I can't think of a strategy clearly. Exhaustion and blood loss are slowly starting to take over as I try to get my head together, but I can barely stay alive.

"I can't do anything but escape in this situation…"

As much as my ego was hurt by that thought, I can't afford such luxuries in my current situation.

As I tried to get my head together, the 2 heroes I was facing suddenly move away from me, only to give way to a huge rock that fell like some kind of meteorite. As I try to run away, another heavy blow assaults me from behind while the rock assaults me from the front. Although I don't have a plan in mind, I know that I won't survive if I don't do something. With no other options, I opt to go for the only viable option left.

- Wind Tank!

The rock that was heading towards me is suddenly shattered by a huge hurricane that comes out of my hand. The pieces of the rock that are expelled by the explosion push away the 2 heroes that were approaching me from the sides. As I took in the scene, from the shadow of one of the rocks comes a flail that tries to hit me from behind. I quickly hit the flail with my fist and it quickly returns to the shadow. One of the heroes that had been keeping the rearguard suddenly flies away from my blow. Before I have time to rejoice at it. A massive 5 meter Scimitar sweeps away all the rocks around me as it launches itself at my torso. I quickly jump to dodge it, but there was already a spear that was thrown from somewhere. Surrounded by electricity, the spear traveled at a mind-blowing speed as it headed straight for my head. I try to stop it with my hand, but even my wind tank gives in to the power of the spear. It pierces about half my arm before stopping completely. Another huge rock was heading towards me the moment the spear disappeared from my shattered arm. Knowing this was my chance, I once again launch a hurricane at the rock to shatter it and try to escape, but out of the rock comes the monk who had found me earlier.

- Shit-

Before I could finish my sentence, a huge staff hits my side and sends me flying into the forest behind me. Although the wind tank had protected me from most of the impact, the pain was palpable as I vomited blood on the ground.

"Damn bastard…"

I could only curse as I writhed in pain, the screams of the heroes could be heard not far away while I was still unable to recover.

- The witch is there, don't let her escape.

- It would be easier to stop her from escaping if some idiot hadn't sent her flying in the first place.

The voices are approaching at an absurd speed. It will be a matter of time before they reach my position.

"It seems they won't let me go until I'm dead… Dead?"
