Chapter 3: Nii Ninacha

Allen woke up with a start, letting out a loud scream in a room he did not recognize. He panicked, touching his chest and checking if there wasn't a gaping hole in his heart. Even more terrified upon realizing his heart was still beating, he screamed again before jumping out of bed, only to fall to the floor after slipping on the sheet. He tried to get up and run, caught in a frenzy after recalling what had happened at his home.

He slipped again on the sheet and hit his head on the wooden floor. Then, he started crawling towards the wall, screaming and trembling with fear as Nina opened the door and rushed towards him.

"Allen!" she cried, then added, "Allen, calm down. Allen, calm down."

She tried to calm him down and hold him in her arms, but when Allen's eyes landed on Nina, he remembered the scene of the girl's transformation and how she had pierced his heart. He immediately became afraid of her and tried to push her away with kicks and punches. But the girl did not give up, and despite a few hits to her face and body, she persisted until she managed to take him in her arms.

"Calm down, Allen. Calm down, it's me. I'm with you, and I'll love you for life, so calm down."

After holding him for a while, Nina finally calmed Allen, whose heart was pounding as he gradually caught his breath.

"I made spaghetti. I'm ashamed, but it's the only food I can cook properly. So don't laugh. I'll take lessons for you, but first, tell me what you think of my secret spaghetti sauce," Nina said from the kitchen, which opened directly onto the living room where Allen sat on beautifully carved wooden chairs. Allen had his head down, staring blankly into space, looking thoughtful as Nina brought out her dish and walked towards him with plates to set the table, wearing a lovely apron over a long t-shirt that reached her thighs.

She placed the pot on the table and served Allen a beautifully prepared plate.

"Here's your portion. Eat it all because you need it. You slept all day."

She removed her apron and sat next to him to eat together. Allen raised his eyes and watched her savor her cooking as if nothing had happened. Even though she was right in front of him, he still couldn't believe it, and in the end, he gave in to his doubts and opened his mouth when Nina interrupted by saying:

"Before anything else, know that I love you more than anything. More than my own life, more than that of my entire family. I love you, Allen. I love you with all my heart, so if you ever leave or abandon me, I don't know what I would do."

Nina was clearly trying to pressure Allen about his future decisions. The young boy understood her well but also felt sincerity in her words, which is why he decided to keep his composure. However, contrary to what Nina expected with a very pessimistic air, Allen's words were very surprising to her when he said:

"Tell me, I feel really good. I feel free for the first time in my life. I feel like I can be anything I want and, above all, be myself as I was always meant to be. Is that normal?"

Nina was greatly surprised by Allen's question. Her spoon was suspended in front of her mouth for a moment, and she looked at him with astonishment before smiling.

"Of course. You can become anything you desire, Allen, absolutely anything, without any problem."

Allen lowered his head and didn't say another word. Nina also ended up showing a sad expression, and they remained that way for almost ten minutes until Nina decided to break the silence.

"You should eat; otherwise, your meal will get cold."

"Nina…"

"Sorry!" Before Allen could finish his sentence, Nina interrupted him, apologizing on the verge of tears. Then she added, "I'm sorry! I lied to you, Allen. I lied about my identity, and I deceived you. I don't deserve it, but I'm asking you to forgive me. If I did all that, it's because I love you, Allen. Believe me, you have to believe me, I love you, Allen."

"I believe you," the young boy replied.

"Huh?"

"Yes, I believe you, but there are things I don't understand, and I want you to explain. Tell me everything, and also, tell me who you really are, Nina. I already know you're not human because, since I woke up, I've been able to see your true form, and... it's terrifying to be in the dark."

"You can see me? Already? That's fast. Have you already awakened powers? Kyaa, I knew you were special."

After that brief moment of distraction, Nina composed herself and explained everything Allen wanted to know without holding back. She started by introducing herself.

"My name is not Nina. My real name is Nii Ninacha, and I am one of the six contenders for the title of Satan 666, the fourth of the name. Yes, Allen, you've already guessed, but I am a demon from the succubus race. A pureblood from the ruling family of the succubus district in hell and also one of the six in line for the next title of Satan 666."

As she confirmed her words, Nina was so carried away and proud of herself that she didn't notice Allen's extremely shocked face.

"What? What's wrong?"

"I expected you to talk to me about a mad scientist and a scientific experiment."

"Huh?"

"Ahaha, I think I need two bottles of water."

"Stop, Allen, I'm serious here. I'm really a demon and soon to be the one who will rule hell."

"And do you have a demon army?"

"Huh? Uh, not yet... but that will happen once I have more money."

"Well, start by ruling over your wallet."

"That's not funny!!!" Nina shouted, slamming the dining table when—

"Haha hahaha hahaha hahaha haha."

"What's so funny? You don't believe me, do you? Despite everything you saw last night?"

"No, I believe you. It's not that. It's just that the seriousness with which you talk about something so incredible makes me laugh. However, deep down, I feel you're not lying to me, and that's what's really funny. If this is a dream, then it's one hell of a dream, haha."

Nina was surprised by Allen's words, though she could still understand him. She replied,

"This is not a dream. It's the real deal."
