The Strongest Ice God of Black Clover

Chapter 11: The Strongest Ice God Of Black Clover 011 Asta And Sekke

Asta had been looked down upon from the first round to the last.

Of course, the final round of the two-person battle was the one most anticipated by everyone.

After all, nearly everyone believed that as long as they faced Asta, the winner would be decided before the match even started.

Lin Hao glanced at the Grimoire in his hands. At this moment, only three pages of his Grimoire had text, while the rest were blank.

The three pages with text represented three spells, two of which he had already used: Wood Creation Magic: Entwining and Wood Creation Magic: Growth of All Things!

As for the last spell, it was a large-scale plant magic called Thousands of Vines.

He had never used this one before. When he first obtained the Grimoire, he tried it but found that he didn't have enough magic power, so he gave up on testing it.

Even after his magic power increased on the way to the capital, he didn't try it out due to being in a hurry.

"I really want to see what the third spell can do. Maybe I'll get the chance during their fight!" Lin Hao thought as he closed his Grimoire and put it back into the bag at his waist.

At this moment, a large group of people gathered around Asta, all wanting to fight him.

As for Asta, who had been shouting confidently but showing no significant performance, he was still worried about whether anyone would even want to challenge him.

To his surprise, a crowd suddenly approached him, making him overjoyed.

He was so excited he was nearly moved to tears.

"Asta! Fight with me!" Sekke stepped forward and said.

"It's you, Sekke? That's amazing! Are you really willing to fight someone like me?" Asta replied, thrilled.

From the beginning, Sekke had been acting magnanimous, pretending to be kind to Asta, which made Asta deeply grateful.

Asta was so moved that he already considered Sekke a good friend.

"Of course," Sekke said with a smile, his hands on his hips.

"You're such a nice person!" Asta said earnestly.

Others who initially wanted to challenge Asta were a little disappointed.

"Damn it, Sekke got there first."

"This Sekke guy is really lucky to have set things up from the start."

"If it weren't for Sekke, I might've had the chance to fight Asta and make a great impression. That would've boosted my chances of joining the Magic Knights!"

A little while later...

"Next, who wants to be the first pair to fight?" a man called out loudly.

"I will! Me!"

Asta, entirely naive and oblivious to the scheming around him, ran forward excitedly, shouting.

Following behind him was Sekke, laughing quietly.

"Let's fight for our ambitions! Don't hold back!" Asta said with a bright smile.

Just then, Sekke placed his hand on Asta's shoulder.

"Uh heh heh," Sekke chuckled sinisterly.

Drawing closer to Asta, he sneered disdainfully. "You can stop trying so hard, you filthy little mouse who doesn't belong here."

"Thanks for being my stepping stone along the way. I'll work hard in the Magic Knights on your behalf and create wonderful memories, alright, you poor little guy?"

Asta's pupils shrank in shock. He instinctively took half a step back.

Sekke sneered again before turning away, putting some distance between them.

The referee shouted, "Then, begin!"

With a wave of Sekke's hand, his Grimoire floated into the air, glowing faintly as text appeared on its pages.

"I won't go easy on you! Let's finish this! Bronze Creation Magic: Bronze Defense Sphere!" Sekke shouted.

Pieces of bronze armor gathered around him, forming a sphere that tightly enclosed him inside.

Asta froze for a moment before his own Grimoire floated into the air.

Lin Hao observed Asta's Grimoire and was startled.

"Is this the cheat the author gave Asta in the original story?" he wondered.

While others didn't notice anything unusual, Lin Hao, being different from the people of this world, saw the Grimoire's distinctiveness.

When Asta's unique Grimoire, emitting a dark reddish light, appeared, Lin Hao was certain this was the key to Asta's strength in the original tale.

Having spent over a year in this world, Lin Hao had seen plenty of colorful Grimoires, but none like this.

Asta's Grimoire, with its eerie light, was clearly something extraordinary.
