"You will find out later. Go ahead... kill me, if you don't care about your clan's future. But if you care even a little about their fate, perhaps you will reconsider," Aoki replied calmly, a small smile lifting the corners of his lips.

The woman fell silent, Aoki's vague threat swirling in her mind. The atmosphere around them grew quieter, as if the night wind held its breath, sensing the tension hanging in the air. The woman stared at Aoki sharply, trying to find a lie in his calm expression.

"Why should I trust you?" the woman murmured, her gaze unwavering.

Aoki merely shrugged, as if indifferent to the tension surrounding them. "You don't have to trust anyone, including me. However, if you truly want to know the fate that awaits your clan... don't kill me. If not, go ahead. Kill me and see what happens to them."

The woman fell silent again, Aoki's words echoing in her mind. She was not someone who easily believed, especially in baseless threats. However, a hint of curiosity and fear began to creep into her thoughts.

Aoki merely grinned, looking back without a hint of fear. "Joke? I'm very serious... especially when it concerns something you care about," Aoki replied, his playful smile contrasting with the firmness of his gaze.

"Is that so?" The woman narrowed her eyes, bitterness filling her voice.
