The Three MuskeBRUZZAS In My Hero Academia

Chapter 18: 16: The First Day - 3

I'm occasionally chilling in JaxWolf4's (Author of Nah, I'd Adapt) Discord Server. It's a chaotic lobotomy mess. Not for the faint of heart.

-Story Start-

The P.E. Grounds of U.A. High School.

Under the light of the sun, the running track glimmered and the metal alloys of the robotic assistants that stood steadfast to measure results shimmered.

Class 1-A stood at attention at their full capacity, awaiting their teacher's arrival.

"Eijiro! Did you guys have another fight in there?" The pink-skinned girl approached the gathered boys.

Specifically the semi-isolated quartet of Yuji, Aoi, Bakugo, and Kirishima.

Kirishima replied with a sheepish scratch of his head, "Sort of?" He pointed at Yuji.

The pink-skinned girl blinked and turned to look at who Yuji held in his arms.

A black-eyed and delirious dwarf with purple balls on his head whispered to the heroic former Jujutsu Sorcerer his final words, "I-I don't want to die a virgin..."

"Don't lose hope! Mineta-san!"

An awkward chuckle escaped the pink-skinned girl's lips, "Uh-huh, that's funny! Well, I think introductions will come later." She quickly skedaddled away, repulsed by the formidable words of Mineta and the presence of Aoi.

Aoi seemed unperturbed as he nodded wisely at the girl's words, "Do not fret, just like Takada-chan said - 'Better late than never.'"

The mention of Takada-chan captured her attention.

As she turned to the 'in her opinion' uncouth and violet gorilla with rekindled interest and enthusiasm, approaching the giant of a man.

"You're a fan of Takada-chan as well?" A bright almost amused smirk on her face as she loudly stated to all to hear.

The girls' group that was busy introducing themselves to each other turned at that strange dissonance credited to Aoi.

Folding his arms, a proud, unshaken smirk formed on Aoi's face.

His proud statement could shake the world itself, "But of course, Takada-chan is the shining, guiding light of my life apart from my brothers."

Bakugo scoffed loudly, "Pfft, freak-"

Aoi's sharp gaze shut him up, as he radiated malice, "Insults upon myself will be tolerated, but to insult Takada-chan?"

"A cardinal sin, Bakugo."

"Like I give a damn." Bakugo's haughty smirk formed once again, unfazed by Aoi's looming figure.

Kirishima and Yuji immediately moved to restrain both of those tense boys who couldn't get along with one another.

The boy with tape elbows deadpanned from afar, "I am not dealing with that again."

"Dark Shadow... restrain yourself if they fight once more." A bird-headed boy that stood beside him whispered with a shudder.

Ilda's voice reverberated with warning, "If you enter an altercation once more I will rush for a teacher! As Aizawa-sensei stated! This is no place for a fight! Hold it in until official sparring sessions!"

...His words went totally unheard.

"I'm having a bit of an issue here, could you hold him for me... Umm-" Yuji pleaded with a friendly smile to the girl who was familiar with Kirishima.

"Mina Ashido, and sorry. I fear for my chastity holding that thing." She politely rejected the offer, pointing at the dwarf in Yuji's hands.

Mineta seemingly recovered quickly at that, turning to her with a snort, "Don't lie, you know you want this-"

That was Ashido's cue to truly escape from the... colorful boys' troupe.

Yuji deadpanned and dropped him on the floor with a resounding thud.

"OI!" Mineta rose up patting off the dirt on his figure.

"If you can talk like that, you can stand Mineta... besides, Bakugo only punched your face." He pointed a degrading finger at Mineta's black eye.

"Speak for yourself! His fist is the size of my entire head!" Mineta exaggeratedly pointed at the eternally scowling Bakugo who was being held back by Kirishima.

At being mentioned, Bakugo turned to the short boy and snickered, "You're underestimating the proportions of your head, midget."

He also added a warning, "Next time you say something like that, I'll turn you into charcoal."

...

"There's a lot of hostility from the boys' side, huh?" One rosy-cheeked girl noted with curiosity.

The pony-tailed girl emphasized, "Yeah... I honestly thought that fight was a one-time thing, I hope there won't be any repeats, it is behavior unfit for a prestigious Hero Program such as U.A."

An invisible girl chuckled knowingly, "Todo-san likes Takada-chan, how unexpected!"

The girl beside her with earphone jacks nodded and gave an accurate comparison, "It's the equivalent of a girly princess being an avid fan of sweaty sumo wrestlers."

"O-Oh my." The pony-tailed girl drew that odd picture in her mind.

Poking her face, the invisible girl mentioned, "Speaking of that... Momo-chan you have a royal air around you, do you perhaps have a fascination with sweaty sumo wrestlers~?"

Backing away from that sharp accusation, Momo replied, "Surely you jest!"

"I jest, I jest." The invisible girl chortled loudly.

It was at that boisterous and chaotic air surrounding the newly acquainted Class 1-A that Aizawa finally made his appearance.

His approach quickly silenced most of the loud chitchat, drawing attention to his slouching self.

He radiated the opposite of charisma and yet... it worked?

His eyes scrutinized all those present, mentally counting heads and making sure his eyes lingered on Aoi and Bakugo.

The two nodded in understanding, a clear message of - 'We won't be causing any trouble. Yet.'

Prompting an agonized yet accepting sigh from Aizawa.

"Today, instead of wasting our time on pointless orientations - you will be taking a Quirk Assessment Test." His tired voice announced to all present.

His eyes gravitated towards Yuji, "Itadori, step up." He gestured toward a specific spot.

Blinking, the former Jujutsu Sorcerer nodded and approached, standing where Aizawa gestured for him.

"All of you were not allowed to use your Quirks in Middle School, but as Students in the Hero Program and the Future of Japan's Heroes..."

He turned to Yuji, handing him a softball, "What was your record softball throw in Middle School?"

Clutching onto the ball, Yuji tilted his head as he contemplated the question, "In middle school?" He repeated.

Wracking his head and searching his memories, of the time before he was a Jujutsu Sorcerer, he gave his answer, "220 Meters."

...

A collective deadpan and unimpressed looks narrowed at Yuji, to which Aoi could only shake his head knowingly in a mixture of pride and amusement.

Aizawa emphasized, "Without your Quirk."

"But that was without my Quirk?" Yuji innocently mentioned.

Aizawa shook his head, "Throwing that far without using a Quirk is physically impossible for a Human." He mentioned with narrowed eyes.

Scratching his head sheepishly, Yuji could only shrug.

Sighing, knowing this wasn't going anywhere, Aizawa cut to the chase, "In any case, try and throw this with your Quirk. Give it all you got."

"Yes! Sensei!" Yuji saluted and then got into position.

Aizawa quickly withdrew some sort of measuring device and stood back, already somewhat aware of Yuji's strength.

Leaning back and bending his body for a powerful throw with his right hand, Cursed Energy reinforced Yuji's limbs even further, and then...

He threw.

The ground cracked beneath Yuji as his swing generated a powerful whirlwind blowing the air of everyone around and almost sweeping Mineta off his feet.

The softball shattered the sound barrier as it rose and rose and rose in elevation, eventually the whirlwind disappeared as quickly as it arrived - and the ball descended beyond the school premises.

The measuring device pinged and Aizawa presented the result to the awed classmates with a poker face.

[3,977 Meters]

"HOLY SHIT!" A gold-haired boy with a black lightning streak across his hair exclaimed everyone's proper reaction to Yuji's unrestricted throw.

"This'll be fun!" Ashido cheered.

"I guess, ribbit." A frog girl classmate chimed in neutrally.

Aoi nodded proudly, "As expected of my brother."

Bakugo's scowl deepened, "And this guy is number two?" His eyes gravitated towards Aoi with his question.

Aoi met Bakugo's questioning look, shaking his head matter of factly, "Do not be mistaken, first place is but an illusion. Yuji is much stronger than me." He freely admitted.

Bakugo could only nod in understanding, reminded of how he couldn't keep up with that pink-haired freak of nature during the entrance exam.

One half-and-half boy muttered under his breath with shock, a strange theory forming in his mind, "Is he related to All Might?"

The strength feat was that impressive.

Aizawa's poker face quickly twisted into a sinister grin at the collective awe and excitement at being able to 'play around' with their Quirks.

"Fun? Do you think this is a game?" His voice cut through the noise like a hot knife through butter, the threatening edge to his tone garnered the immediate attention of all.

"Here's how this will go... last place will be deemed hopeless and unfit for U.A.'s Hero Program and you will be promptly expelled."

Following his announcement was pin-drop silence.

Everyone present carefully digested the implications of that statement.

And with it, came the realization:

"But it's only the first day!" The rosy-cheeked girl exclaimed with dread and dismay.

"Yeah! We worked our asses off to be accepted here!" Mineta pointed at Aizawa in outrage.

Similar statements and chaos reigned among most of 1-A's roster.

Aoi kept a confident grin on his face, whilst Yuji appeared similarly unbothered but concerned for those around him.

Being the one standing adjacent to Aizawa, Yuji inquired genuinely, "After going through a very selective test, isn't expelling someone a bit... not fair? hasty?" He fiddled with the vocabulary to describe the prospect.

'He's got a trigger finger on that expel button, with wanting to expel Aoi and now this.' Yuji noted mentally, a small sense of apprehension forming in his mind when it came to his homeroom teacher.

Regarding Yuji with an arched eyebrow, Aizawa's menacing grin persisted, "Fair? The world and society itself aren't fair."

He lectured, "Natural disasters, Villains, accidents - all those situations you prospective heroes are trained to deal with are not fair. Your role is to rise to those occasions, to deal with them despite the unfairness of it all."

He turned to look at every single individual present with manic fervor in his eyes, "That's what it means to be a Hero, that's what it means to stay and survive U.A.'s Hero Program."

Motivation and competitiveness began to rise among some of the students, and Bakugo's gleeful smirk stood out amongst the motivated bunch.

"Welcome to U.A. Give it your all, Plus Ultra." He announced with a gloating smirk.

-------------------------------

The first test Yuji found himself partaking in was the 50-meter dash.

The test is to be taken in randomized pairs of two.

With twenty classmates, this results in a total of ten pairs.

And the first question that popped into his head was, "Only fifty meters?"

The frog-girl beside him who was paired with him nodded and gave her two cents, "Yeah, I guess it is to test how well you can accelerate rather than run long distance, ribbit."

"Makes sense." Yuji nodded in understanding.

She bluntly mentioned, "You seem far more amiable than your friend, ribbit." Her eyes were directed at the stoic figure of Aoi.

Yuji chuckled awkwardly, "He's got a unique way of evaluating people... don't be surprised if he asks you the same question." He explained.

"Will he punch me as well?"

He frowned, "I'm hoping that he'll hold himself back to doing that only in training... but whether he does that or not depends on your answer."

"What do I answer?" The girl smartly inquired to avoid trouble.

"Honestly, avoid personality traits or being avoidant or cliche."

"That seems rather shallow, ribbit."

Yuji shrugged, "I've yet to figure out how he works myself."

"I see, thank you Itadori-chan." She nodded appreciatively.

Yuji flashed her a smile, "No worries..."

"Tsuyu Asui, but my friends call me Tsu."

"Nice to meet you Asui-sa-"

"Call me Tsu."

"Roger-" Yuji's salute was cut short by Aizawa's voice.

"Quit the chatter and get ready." He gestured at the robots at the end of the fifty-meter line.

"That's your goal."

The two nodded and got into a stance, Asui crouching down to make a mighty leap whilst Yuji positioned in a 'set position.'

"On your mark," Aizawa announced.

"Get set."

Yuji's muscles tensed and Cursed Energy reinforced his limbs as the ground below him shuddered.

"GO!" Aizawa's announcement rang aloud for but a moment.

And it was immediately replaced by a powerful wind, a cloud of dust kicking up, and the sound of the coarse ground beneath Yuji shattering.

As he accelerated, he had already surpassed the sound barrier; a resonating sound that hurt the ears reverberating at the breaking of the sound barrier.

Poor Asui's crouching position was compromised, as Yuji's nearby miniature earthquake made her slip, the tiny hurricane doing little to keep her steady.

An instant later, a loud ring from one of the two measuring robots rang out as Yuji found himself skidding to a stop amid the dust and wind.

Asui quickly regained her composure and with a sweatdrop rushed to leap through the 50-meter dash, arriving a few seconds later.

...

The crowd of 1-A, once more, was quite literally shaken by Yuji's performance.

In terms of speed, even the confident and dutiful Ida doubted he could perform such a feat.

It measured:

[0.133 Seconds.]

Whilst Asui held a contrasting result:

[8.5 Seconds.]

Asui met Yuji's apologetic look with an irritated deadpan, "Sorry, I didn't mean to mess things up for you."

Seeing his genuine expression, she shook her head, "It's fine, ribbit. but I'd like to ask, are you All Might's Secret Love Child?" She bluntly inquired.

"I'm not blonde, am I?"

"Recessive gene, maybe?"

"Rece-wha?"

"Never mind, if you aren't related then that's that. You just have similarly absurd strength and speed as he does."

Yuji shook his head, "Nah, All Might's stronger than me." He waved her off, giving his genuine thoughts.

-------------------------------

Aoi was paired up with Ida in the fifty-meter dash.

Yet, when Aizawa announced the start, both participants stood in place as the clock ticked.

"I will not be fooled! I have experienced your Quirk firsthand!" Ida announced harshly.

Aoi shook his head regrettably, "Then I fear the both of us will take last place in this test."

Ida's eye twitched and he gave up quickly, using the engines on his calves he was about to get a good result regardless of the tiny delay.

But, his hopes were for naught.

A loud clap resonated as Ida was mere inches away from the goal, Aoi taking his place and stepping forward.

[7 Seconds.]

Ida, however, was still prepared as he unleashed his full speed upon realizing that he had exchanged positions with Aoi.

Overheating and with a speed that cracked the ground and sent dust flying in the air, his result wasn't too different:

[7.5 Seconds.]

Overshooting the goal, Ida barely hit the tree a considerable distance away before skidding to a stop as his engine burned red, and his breath labored.

Aoi regarded him with an impressed hum, "A decent strategy, nevertheless - it had been better for you to have started off with that. Boogie Woogie does not cease momentum, the both of us would have gotten a far greater result."

"T-Trickery!" He breathed out, tired after using his signature move.

"Nonsense." Aoi retorted lightly.

...

"Did he just teleport?" The rosy-cheeked girl, now named Ochako Uraraka inquired loudly.

"They exchanged places, but yes it was so immediate it could be described as teleportation." The pony-tailed girl, now named Momo Yaoyorozu.

"You girls are focusing on the wrong thing, pfft. HIS QUIRK'S CALLED BOOGIE WOOGIE THAT'S HILARIOUS! BAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!" The now-named gold-haired boy, Denki Kaminari roared with laughter.

The still black-eyed Mineta threw in his uninvited opinion, "The doctor who named his Quirk must have been smoking on something." He snickered.

"Don't wanna hear it from you, 'Pop-off'." Hanta Sero snorted himself.

"At least it's imaginative! Not like yours... 'Tape'. How is anyone supposed to conclude you shoot tapes out of your elbows?!" He pointed an accusatory finger at the shrugging Sero.

-------------------------------

The rest of the tests flew by quickly, and despite the tense competitive atmosphere and the looming threat of expulsion, the classmates managed to sneak in a few moments of levity and bonding.

Nevertheless, when the time came to perform... they did so with all their might.

The following tests were:

Grip Strength - Yuji broke the machine.

Standing Long Jump - Yuji easily cleared the sandbox.

Repeated Side Steps - Mineta's time to shine came here, beating everyone by a landslide.

Softball Throw - Yuji's record had been broken by Uraraka's Infinity result due to her Zero Gravity Quirk.

Long distance run - Yuji won by a landslide, only followed by Aoi switching places with Bakugo as Yaoyorozu on her bike and Ida made sure not to be the target of Aoi's switch.

Note - Aoi made his favoritism for Yuji abundantly clear.

Finally, there were the seated toe-touch test and the sit-ups test.

Those with physically enhancing Quirks excelled in these tests, as did those who creatively used their unique Quirks, like Yaoyorozu, who breezed through them.

In the end...

The results spoke for themselves, as Aizawa presented them to all the apprehensive and nervous students:

[Quirk Apprehension Test RESULTS]:

[1st - Yuji Itadori]

[2nd - Momo Yaoyorozu]

[3th - Shoto Todoroki]

[20th - Minoru Mineta]

At seeing their names not being at the bottom, most breathed a sigh of relief.

Yet, those in the bottom five gulped nervously.

"What am I supposed to do in a physical exam with my Quirk exactly?!" Kaminari sweatdropped as he saw his dreams, inches away from shattering.

But...

All eyes turned to the one whose dreams of heroics - were coming to a brutal and premature end.

Mineta's face paled and sweat glistened down his face, as Aizawa's eyes narrowed at him sharply, only worsening Mineta's crumbling state.

And then...
