The Time a God of Destruction was reincarnated as a slime.

Chapter 1: Dreams and reincarnation

Beerus was on his planet, lounging on his massive tree-shaped throne as Whis floated nearby, preparing an extravagant meal. The God of Destruction was in his usual state—lazy, content, and mildly annoyed at the lack of exciting developments in his universe. Eating, sleeping, and occasionally destroying planets were the staples of his existence, and while he enjoyed it, something about the monotony was beginning to bother him—not that he'd ever admit it.As he lazily stretched and reached for another bite of his dessert, he suddenly paused. "Whis," he said, narrowing his golden eyes, "I had the strangest dream last night. It felt… different. Almost real."

Whis tilted his head, curiosity piqued. "A dream, my Lord? How unusual for you to mention such a thing. What was it about?"

Beerus furrowed his brow, trying to recall the details. "I was in this vast, white void. Everything was empty except for a massive dragon. It was the largest I've ever seen, even bigger than Shenron or Porunga. Its scales shimmered like a starry night, and its presence… it felt as though it could rival or even surpass the Omni-King." Whis stopped stirring the pot of his latest culinary creation. "A dragon, you say? And one of such immense power? Fascinating. Did it speak to you?"

Beerus nodded slowly. "It introduced itself as Veldanava, the 'Star King Dragon,' and claimed to be the one who created multiple universes, including dimensions entirely separate from our own. He spoke about a place called the 'cardinal world' and said it was his favorite creation."

Whis smiled slightly, his staff glowing faintly. "And what did this dragon want from you, my Lord?"Beerus huffed, leaning back in his seat. "He said he wanted me to oversee that world, to ensure its balance wasn't disrupted. Apparently, he's planning to abandon his power and live as a mortal, and he needs someone capable of keeping his creation intact. Hmph, as if I'd take on such a tedious job."

Whis chuckled. "How very like you, my Lord. Did you agree to his request?"

Beerus scoffed. "Of course not. I told him it sounded like too much work. Besides, what's in it for me? But the dragon… he didn't seem concerned. He said I'd understand soon enough."Whis raised an eyebrow. "How curious. And do you believe it was truly a dream?"

Before Beerus could respond, his eyes grew heavy, and a sudden wave of exhaustion overcame him. "Hmph. Maybe… I need another nap," he muttered as he drifted into sleep.

This time, the dream returned. Beerus stood in the same endless white void, and there it was—the colossal dragon, its starry scales shimmering like a galaxy.

"Welcome back, Beerus," Veldanava said, his voice deep and commanding yet oddly warm. "I see you've been pondering my offer."

Beerus crossed his arms, his tail flicking irritably. "Not really. I've already decided it's not worth my time. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'd like to wake up."The dragon chuckled, his golden eyes glowing with amusement. "I don't think you understand, Beerus. This isn't a mere dream. It's a glimpse into something greater. Whether you agree or not, your path has already been set."

Beerus growled. "I don't take kindly to being forced into anything, dragon."

Veldanava's smile widened. "And that's precisely why I chose you. You are strong-willed, unpredictable, and capable of making decisions beyond the expectations of mere mortals or gods. But rest assured, this is no punishment. I am giving you an opportunity to grow, to experience something far beyond the cycle of destruction you've grown so accustomed to."Beerus glared at the massive dragon, his tail flicking in irritation. "What makes you think I'd bother with all of this? You're asking me to give up my time and status for… what, some mortal experience?"

Veldanava's glowing eyes softened with patience. "I understand your doubts, Beerus. That is why I won't leave you without the tools you need. You will still retain your power as a God of Destruction, but it will be sealed away. To aid you, I will grant you something extra—call it an assistant. This assistant will manifest as a skill that will help guide you on your journey. And as you grow and meet the necessary conditions, your power will gradually return. Eventually, you'll even gain the ability to travel freely between the cardinal world and your universe."Beerus raised an eyebrow, intrigued but still skeptical. "An assistant, huh? You're making it sound like I'm going to need it. Fine. But this better not be as boring as you make it sound."

Veldanava chuckled. "Oh, I can promise you this journey will be anything but boring. Now, prepare yourself, Beerus. Your reincarnation begins."

Before Beerus could respond, his vision blurred, the dragon and the endless white plain fading into a vortex of swirling light.

Amid the void, a mechanical voice echoed in his mind:"Transferring all current powers… Accepted. Sealing powers until required conditions are fulfilled… Complete."

Beerus growled. "What in the—?"

The voice continued, ignoring his confusion:

"<>

<>

<>

<>

<>

<>"

Beerus's frustration grew as the voice kept rattling off notifications. "What is this? Who's talking to me? And what are these 'skills' you're blabbering about?"

But the voice continued, relentless and monotone:

"Unique abilities and resistances fully integrated. Skill modifications complete."

The list of notifications went on, detailing every aspect of his new form and the abilities he'd gained. Though the information was overwhelming, Beerus couldn't help but notice how powerful everything sounded.

As the final notification rang out, Beerus felt his consciousness fading, the last thing he heard being the cold, emotionless voice:"Reincarnation process complete. Welcome to the cardinal world."

Then, silence.

When Beerus awoke, he found himself in darkness, his body feeling… strange. Wobbling slightly, he attempted to move, only to realize he wasn't moving as he used to. His body was soft, gelatinous, and transparent.

"A slime?" Beerus growled, his voice echoing oddly in his new form. "That oversized lizard turned me into a slime?!"

As he fumbled to make sense of his newexistence, he recalled the strange voice from the void. It had mentioned skills, abilities, and something about his powers being sealed. He couldn't sense the destructive force he was so accustomed to, but there was something else—a new energy, foreign yet potent, coursing through his body.

"…Fine," Beerus muttered, a smirk forming—or at least, as much of a smirk as a slime could muster. "Let's see what this cardinal world has to offer. But when I'm back at full strength, Veldanava, you'd better hope I've enjoyed this 'journey' of yours."

And so, Beerus's adventure in the cardinal world began, armed with strange new abilities, a sealed godly power, and a reluctant curiosity for the path ahead.Beerus sighed, his gelatinous body wobbling slightly as he adjusted to his new form. "So, I've been reincarnated as a slime, and now I have some strange voice following me around? Great. Just great," he muttered.

The darkness around him was stifling, and he could feel the cool, damp air of the cave. "So, where am I anyway? Why is it so dark?"

The same calm, mechanical voice from before answered:

Beerus froze. "What the hell? Who said that? Who's there?"The voice responded without hesitation:

Beerus was taken aback. This was unlike anything he'd ever encountered in his existence as a God of Destruction. Sure, he'd spoken to Whis and even the Omni-King, but having a voice directly inside his mind was something else entirely.

After a moment of stunned silence, he scoffed and forced himself to calm down. "Hmph. I'm the God of Destruction, Beerus. A mere voice inside my head isn't going to scare me."Raphael replied with the same serene tone:

Beerus narrowed his golden slime-like senses, trying to focus. "So, you're supposed to be an 'ultimate skill'? And you're here to help me?"

Beerus rubbed—well, imagined rubbing—his chin thoughtfully. "Hmph. I suppose that could be useful. But don't think you can just boss me around. I'm still the one in charge here."

A smirk spread across Beerus's slime form. "Good. Now, tell me more about this 'Jura Forest.' What am I dealing with here?"

Beerus processed the information, his curiosity piqued. "Magicules, huh? Sounds like the energy of this world. I'll need to learn how to use it. And these monsters… if they're strong, this could be interesting."

Raphael's voice returned:

Beerus chuckled. "Consume monsters to gain their abilities? Now that sounds like fun. All right, Raphael, let's see what this forest has to offer. Lead the way."

With newfound determination, Beerus squished his way toward the cave's entrance, ready to take on whatever challenges this strange new world threw at him. Though his godly powers were sealed, he was still Beerus, and he intended to show this cardinal world exactly who he was.Beerus stopped moving, his gelatinous form wobbling slightly. He realized that rushing into things wouldn't be wise in a world he didn't fully understand. After all, he was a God of Destruction, but this wasn't his universe. If he wanted to dominate, he needed to learn the rules first.

"Raphael," he said, his voice steady, "tell me everything I need to know about this world—the 'cardinal world.' I need to understand its rules before I make any moves." Raphael began, its voice as calm and measured as ever.

As Beerus listened, a grin began to spread across his face—or at least the equivalent for a slime. "Survival of the fittest, huh? Just my cup of tea."Raphael continued:

Beerus chuckled. "I like the sound of that. But before I start making waves, I need to get used to this new body and these powers. Raphael, I need to train. What do you suggest?"Raphael responded immediately:

Beerus nodded—or tried to, his slime form making it more of a wobble. "Hmm, makes sense. If this world is built on strength, then I need to become stronger than everything else. All right, where's the nearest target?"

After a brief pause, Raphael spoke:

Beerus smirked. "Perfect. Let's get started. Time to show this world why I'm a God of Destruction—even if I look like a blob."

With Raphael guiding him, Beerus began moving deeper into the cave, eager to test his newfound abilities on the unsuspecting monsters. While his divine powers were sealed, he was determined to adapt, grow, and make this new world his own.
