The Villainess Professor Goes Crazy Again Today

Chapter 8: EIGHT

FEDRICK RODOA, a knight who had once been retired, utilised his old body to prowl through the forest outside of the Academy barrier, searching for any traces of suspicious individuals. He shot through the forest like a bullet, zipping and zapping, appearing and disappearing, like a silent assassin.

No stone or tree was left unturned under his magic.

If he couldn't produce a suspect by sundown, there would be considerable consequences for the Academy and himself.

The Opal House was not one to be trifled with.

One of their precious ladies ranked in the middle among their younglings, had been attacked on Academy school grounds. Unless the Frostwood Academy had enough power to protect themselves, they would be destoryed easily under the Opal Houses anger if they couldn't answer them.

Judging by the distance between the Academy and the Fae Realm, they would be here by the time the moon rose. If they didn't have answers, there would only be destruction waiting for them.

Fedrick thought about Cassandra Opal, a new professor.

Though to high fae such positions were seen as disgraceful, it was the Academy's honour to employ an individual with her background and lineage.

Though Federick wasn't a gossiper, he knew the reasons why she was employed. The position of Chief of the Frost Guards meant he had underlings whispering under his wing every day, with the majority being heard by him due to his abilities.

One frost guard, a quarter-fae with minor connections to the Highlands, had whispered into the ears of their colleagues that she was sentenced by the High Court to serve within an Academy in the human realm. Why?

They didn't know outside of the sentence.

High Faes, like High Elves, despised the human race, deeming their race weak. Humans were after all, below all other races in power and strength.

The Academy rules could only regulate minor fae, and above that would be laughable as it would only lead to their destruction. The majority of Faes didn't follow rules or could be bound by human mana contracts. Only those with weaker bloodlines or heritage could be. Even then, it was a risk.

But, it was a chance every Academy took because the benefits far outweighed the risks.

One adult High Fae could easily crush an army of Sword Masters.

Not sword aura users. Sword Masters - the strongest of their path. Humanities' second strongest weapon.

And, if a one of High fae lineage could teach their students? Well, Fedrick could imagine how the Headmaster's face would be sore from their students with magic growing more powerful than any other academy's student.

No other Academy had successfully employed a fae above minor bloodlines. Even having Havana was a blessing - though she was destructive, reminiscent of her dark fae heritage.

Now, Fedrick had to use all of his power to please them, lest this blessing turn into a curse.

A chime from his watch caught Fredrick's attention as he flew above the trees.

"Cheif, we've identified one person matching the description and imprisoned him. There's only one problem."

"Speak."

"He's a first-year student."

"Name."

"Lyle Nightingale. From Duke Even Nightingales household."

"..."

"And Lucius Nightingale's illegitimate younger brother."

Fedrick almost felt like crying out in anger.

The Nightingales were his sisters in-laws.
