Chapter 111
The Villainous Noble Who Kept Rewinding After Death: The Story Somehow Changed When I Committed Suicide
Episode 111: Crazy Love
~side Ryan~
On the night of the battle between Louis and Ryan, Ryan was trembling in the corner of his room, gripped by fear.
“It hurts! It hurts so much… My arm, my leg. My stomach hurts too…”
Ryan’s severed arm and leg, along with his stabbed stomach, had been healed by the kingdom’s best healing mage, but he was still suffering from phantom pain.
“Shuvina. My Shuvina. Why don’t you come to check on me and worry for me? I’m in so much pain…”
In the dark room, Ryan curled up, repeating the same words when suddenly a man appeared.
“Hehe. How sad to be in so much pain.”
“W-who are you?!”
Ryan looked up in a panic, facing a suspicious figure leaning on a long staff, dressed in tattered robes with a hood pulled low, revealing a hunched body and a raspy voice.
“Hehe. Don’t worry about who I am right now. More importantly, how miserable you must be suffering. It seems quite painful, indeed.”
“Don’t think you can just waltz in here and get away with it! Guards! Intruder!”
Ryan jumped up and shouted for the guards, but after waiting for a moment, no one entered the room.
“Wh-what’s going on?”
“It’s pointless to call for help. Currently, this room is under my magic, which prevents any sound from leaking out. Regrettably, it would be best if you didn’t waste your efforts.”
“Cursed!! What do you want?!”
“Hehe. I appreciate a quick conversation. You see, I merely want to help you fulfill your beautiful feelings of love.”
“My feelings of love?”
“Exactly! You see, I witnessed your duel with that boy. Ah, two men fighting for one woman! It was so beautiful! Hehe.”
As the man chuckled, he suddenly closed the distance between himself and Ryan, looking up at him with bulging eyes from beneath his hood.
“Don’t you want revenge?”
“What?”
“Hehe. I asked if you wanted to take revenge on that boy.”
“Revenge?”
“Indeed. You, humiliated in front of your beloved lady. Hurt by that boy, suffering in your heart. Don’t you wish to clear that shame and humiliation?”
The man looking up at Ryan said this with an ugly grin, his eyes glinting ominously from within the hood.
“I want… revenge. I want it, I want it, I want it! Of course, I want revenge! Shuvina is mine! And I’m a prince of this nation, yet that boy dared to do that to me!!”
“Hehe. Indeed, it’s unforgivable, isn’t it? You want revenge, right? For you, I have prepared a little gift.”
The man said this as he took a small vial from his pocket and held it in front of Ryan’s eyes.
Inside the vial, a purple liquid swayed, instantly conveying that its contents were no ordinary liquid.
“What is this?”
“This is the venom of a Hydra.”
“H-Hydra venom?!”
“Yes. As a member of the royal family, you’ve probably heard about it, haven’t you? The seals on the Hydra are starting to break. I took great risks to procure this venom, and I hope you will use it.”
“Use it on whom?”
“Of course, on that boy who made a fool of you. And perhaps, as a bonus, on your beloved lady’s parents as well.”
“Huh? Why her parents too?”
“Well, you see, once her friends and parents are dead, the only one she can rely on will be you. Then, when you are kind to her, she will…”
“I see! She’ll fall for me and come to me of her own accord!”
“Indeed, indeed. That is how it works.”
Already unable to think clearly, Ryan accepted the Hydra venom from the man, gazing at the vial with a twisted smile.
“Alright, then. Just as you say, I’ll kill them.”
“Hehe. Well then, do your best. I’ll be eagerly awaiting the results. Hehehehe.”
With that last chuckle, the man vanished from Ryan’s room like smoke.
Left alone, Ryan pulled a book from the shelf, causing it to move sideways. A hidden passage revealed itself, and he slowly walked deeper inside.
“Oh, Shuvina.”
Upon entering the room, he was greeted by walls covered with numerous paintings of Shuvina, each one he had painted from her childhood to the present.
“My Shuvina. I will definitely make you mine. Hahaha… hahaha!”
While Ryan clung to the paintings of Shuvina, laughing maniacally, the man who had handed him the Hydra venom watched Ryan’s antics from the doorway.
“Hehe. How disgusting. Well then, do please make yourself useful. Even if the Hydra revives, that woman will be an obstacle. Also, please fulfill your revenge.
But that boy is a bit troublesome. Even I couldn’t see the extent of his power. He seemed to notice me while I was observing through the familiar, and this mission is becoming a hassle.
Well, I will just do as I’ve been told. Hehehehe.”
After observing Ryan’s behavior, the man faded into the forest where the Hydra resided to fulfill his role.
~side Louis~
It had already been two days since the duel with Ryan. During that time, I lounged in my room, feeling mentally exhausted and noticing no movement from the Hydra, just lazing around and petting Fiera’s tail.
“El. How’s the tail?”
“Best ever.”
So it was another day of lying in bed since I woke up and showering affection on Fiera’s tail while I relaxed.
“How’s the Hydra?”
“Hmm, nothing in particular yet. But I can sense something getting closer and then further away near that spot.”
“Demon race?”
“Probably.”
Since the scouting mission to the Hydra’s seal location, I had been probing the situation using detection magic.
I hadn’t been out of my room for days because of the exhaustion from that.
“Eir, Fiera, may I come in?”
Then, Shuvina knocked on the door and called out, so I agreed, and she walked in.
“Oh? You’re getting comfort from Fiera’s tail again, huh?”
“Yeah. This fluffiness is the best.”
“Uh-huh. I put in the effort to groom it for you.”
Since that day, while initially Shuvina seemed a bit awkward, she had started interacting with me just like before after some kind of change within her.
“Seems like Fiera’s tail brings happiness. But I’m sorry. There’s been some bad news.”
“Bad news? What do you mean?”
When I asked, Shuvina’s expression changed to one of anger, and she began discussing troublesome matters.
“Actually, just now, Lord Ryan and Kaylee came to visit.”
“Huh?”
“Apparently, they want to apologize for the other day. They want to apologize directly to Eir. I told them it was annoying and to go home, but they said they wouldn’t leave until you came, so they’re sitting outside the house waiting.”
When I looked outside the window, I could see Ryan indeed sitting in front of the house, refusing to move.
“What do we do? If you don’t want to meet them, I’ll do whatever it takes to chase them away. I don’t want to trouble you any further.”
“…No, I’ll meet them. Please let them in, Shuvina.”
“Eh? You want to meet them?”
Shuvina seemed quite surprised by my response.
“Yeah. So please take care of it.”
“Um, if you’re okay with it, then fine. Understood.”
Although she looked a bit confused, Shuvina agreed since I wanted to meet them and went out to let Ryan and the others in.
“Fiera. Looks like the time has come.”
“Got it. I’ll get ready.”
“Yeah.”
After discussing what was likely to happen later with Fiera, we changed into our usual adventurer gear and headed downstairs to meet Ryan and the others.
“Alright then. Let’s wrap this up.”
