The Watcher of the Dimensions

A few days later in the training facility.

" Focus, little girl. You are losing your focus. Space power is the most unstable power that could potentially kill its user if it isn't controlled."

Chavez grumbled at Arthur's words, trying to open the portal to that world but somehow she managed to mess things up and end up in the wrong world. Fortunately, Arthur was there to solve the problems and he also recorded the coordinates of those worlds for later use.

" I am trying, teacher. But my mind is getting blank for no reason. Maybe we should eat something and rest."

Arthur shook his head with a defeated look, knowing teens tend to do something like this. His children, nieces, nephews, students, and even Peter were all rebellious.

The ground around them turned into the cold zone, while Chavez found herself in the arctic. She didn't understand what was happening and why he did this to her.

" This is my last lesson for you. To survive you must open a portal to a safe place. Otherwise, I will shut down the portal and you will die from hypothermia in an half hour."

Every living being had defensive mechanics that protect their safety during life-threatening situations. Especially humans who had survived through thousands of years of struggle could temporarily lift the ban that had been placed on their bodies.

" This is madness. I haven't signed up for this."

Chavez tried to open the portal and for some reason her power was responding to her or something was blocking it.

" Type 1. A portable space device that could block any space intervals if it didn't come from magic.

Your power isn't magic or mutation, therefore it is useless before this device unless you are a scientist whose mind could rival mine or someone like Reed and Tony."

He was probably the smartest person in the world when it came to relative and quantum physics. Thus, he was pretty confident that Chavez would fail to destroy his device with raw strength and he was right.

The poor girl couldn't do anything to the device, not even making a scratch on its body. Moreover, the cold wind was gnawing her body as she felt herself being in pain.

" Time is running out. I don't think you will like being a zombie or cyborg, so do your best."

Chavez took it as a real warning, believing she might end up as a zombie since she saw them. Furthermore, she didn't want to become a cyborg even though they were cool.

" Ah, what is wrong with you, teacher?"

Her anger reached boiling point before she found herself in the warm room. Her face almost returned to her beaming face, guessing she had succeeded.

" Congrats, girl."

Arthur clapped his hands with a gentle face while handing her a cup of warm honey milk to soothe her chills. The alluring smell of milk attracted her attention she almost sobbed when she felt the taste of it.

" I am alive and I can use my power."

Chavez drank the milk with a happy face, thinking she could finally survive now thanks to his training. She even felt confident if she was to face Wanda who was trying to hunt her.

" Now then, shall we go to the dimension where we will get the book?"

Two Strange appeared next to them as Arthur nodded toward Chavez who was excited to use her power.

" Here goes nothing."

The star-shaped energy instantly teleported them through the dimension as they saw countless versions of themselves except for Arthur. For some reason his variant couldn't be found anywhere like they didn't exist or they were hiding.

" We are here!"

Strange opened his eyes with a calm face, looking at the new dimension with amusement.

" Amazing. It is like your teleportation device but more precise and simple. Maybe she could become a great hero."

Arthur nodded at his quote, agreeing with him. He witnessed her power first hand and certainly, she could be a great asset as well as a dangerous individual. Fortunately, she was a little girl and there was no corruption in her mind.

" Don't go too far. We don't know what exists in this world."

Other Strange was worried about the new world rules.
