Chapter 34 - Chain. (1)
Kong Hye-sun’s POV
It happened in an instant.
The test mana stone emitted a powerful light, and a short roar was heard, startling the students and causing them to scream.
“Kyaaaaah!”
“Ahhh!!! It’s a terrorist attack!!!”
The training room turned into a chaotic mess.
“E-everyone, calm down!!!”
Just as the flustered teachers urgently shouted at the students.
“So-yeon! Are you okay!?”
Yoo Ji-hwan’s voice came from up ahead.
J-Ji-hwan…?
Yoo Ji-hwan, who had definitely been with us, was suddenly embracing the collapsed Min So-yeon.
“So-yeon, look at me!! Min So-yeon!!”
Yoo Ji-hwan desperately calls out to Min So-yeon.
At his desperate appearance, a corner of my heart throbbed.
A moment later, Min So-yeon seemed to regain consciousness and slowly raised her body, and the teachers came flocking just in time to take control of the scene.
Like that, Yoo Ji-hwan supported Min So-yeon and left the training room, and the training room that had turned into pandemonium was quickly tidied up.
“Hey, wasn’t Yoo Ji-hwan right next to us? When did he get over there…”
“No, how did Min So-yeon blow up the mana stone. She’s really crazy.”
“Like mother like daughter, I envy her talent.”
The students making a fuss out of surprise seemed to have calmed down and began to mutter.
“Wow, did you see him hug Min So-yeon? So sweet.”
“Birds of a feather flock together, I wish a boy like that would hug me too…”
“Hey, be quiet… They’ll hear you.”
I absentmindedly listened to my classmates and slowly got up.
I wonder if Ji-hwan is okay…
Thinking it would be best to check directly, I tried to leave the training room.
However…
“Although there was a small disturbance, the exam will continue, so the other students please take your seats again!”
An announcement was made not to leave the training room until all the exams were over.
“Ah…”
If I could, I want to go check if Ji-hwan is okay right away.
But I didn’t have the courage to go against the teacher’s words and sneak out.
And so the exam continued.
“Next! Number 31, Cha Yun-ho!”
The atmosphere that had already been disrupted once was not easily controlled, and the kids who finished the exam chattered noisily about Min So-yeon and Yoo Ji-hwan.
I didn’t listen to their words.
No, I didn’t have the leisure to listen.
My gaze was fixed outside the training room.
“…”
Because I was too busy suppressing the envy that was slowly rising.

Min So-yeon’s POV
Leaning against the infirmary bed, I started to get a little annoyed at Yoo Ji-hwan’s bothersome behavior.
“So-yeon, are you really okay? Should we go to the hospital?”
“I said I’m fine.”
I was already so embarrassed about exploding the mana stone. Then, Yoo Ji-hwan kept acting so weird that I felt doubly ashamed.
At that moment, Yoo Ji-hwan grabbed my hand and carefully examined it while speaking.
“You don’t seem hurt, but just in case…”
Feeling irrationally upset at his actions, I pulled my hand away and shouted.
“Ah, I said I’m fine! I’m telling you I’m okay, so why do you keep bothering me!!”
Oops.
I realized my mistake only after I had gotten angry.
Did I say it too harshly?
I hurriedly watched Yoo Ji-hwan’s reaction, pondering if I should apologize.
“So-yeon. I’m sorry for constantly bothering you. I was just really worried.”
Perhaps because I got angry, he really backed off.
T-That’s not it…
“I won’t do it anymore, just rest a bit…”
“W-Wait a minute!”
I urgently called him as he tried to get up and slightly reached out my hand.
“I-It kind of hurts a little…”
Ugh…
My face burned up as if it would explode at the action I had unconsciously committed, but I might really regret it if I let Yoo Ji-hwan leave like this.
Silently sitting back down on the chair, he gently grabbed the hand I offered and spoke kindly.
“Does it hurt a lot…?”
As if he really thought I was in pain, he began to rub my hand gently like a massage.
I always feel it, but Yoo Ji-hwan’s hands are so big and full of warmth.
Just holding them makes me feel reassured… It reminded me of my late father.
Feeling his touch like that and pondering for a moment, I deliberately let out a shallow moan and said,
“On the inside…”
“Here?”
It didn’t hurt, but it suddenly did when he asked so seriously.
“G-Gently…”
“Hmm… Like this?”
Ugh…
The fact that Yoo Ji-hwan was moving to match my mood created a tingly pleasure.
I wonder how long I had been offering my hand like that.
The school nurse who had been out for a while returned to the infirmary.
“You both seem fine, so go straight home and rest.”
She said as long as we weren’t badly hurt it was fine and sent us home.
Since we got to leave school a bit early, I guess all is well.
As we left the academy,
“Let’s eat something simple at home today.”
For some reason, Yoo Ji-hwan suggested we have dinner with ingredients at home.
Yoo Ji-hwan had insisted on eating fresh ingredients to stay healthy, so I wondered what was going on…
“Go quickly and rest a bit.”
The reason was that he wanted me to rest.
Isn’t this his habitual consideration?
Such habits are good, but he needs to be a bit selective about the target.
While having trivial conversations on the way home,
“Aren’t you tired? Want me to carry you?”
He shook up my heart again.
Seeing the playful smile on his lips, it seems he said it as a joke, but I wish he wouldn’t make these kinds of jokes.
“Get lost.”
Because it’s not good for my heart.
It’s a secret that I was shaken for a moment, even though I knew it was a joke.
After returning home like that and having a simple dinner,
“So, is there anywhere you want to go tomorrow?”
Yoo Ji-hwan brought up the topic of a date.
Finally.
Hiding my excitement, I pretended not to know anything and put down my chopsticks.
“Tomorrow?”
“Yeah. I told you last time that we should hang out together.”
Of course I remember.
I’ve been waiting for this day for so long.
“You did.”
But I have no intention of revealing my true feelings.
I learned from ‘Chyo1ko’ that you have to pretend to be uninterested to play hard to get.
“I did look around here and there, but I thought I should ask you.”
At Yoo Ji-hwan’s words, I picked up my spoon as if I had no thoughts and said offhandedly,
“I’m fine with anywhere.”
Meaning anywhere is fine as long as I’m with you, an answer I learned from ‘Midori’.
I wonder if he noticed my feelings?
“Hmm… Then, is there anything you want to eat?”
He probably didn’t notice.
Clueless jerk.
“I don’t know. Let’s just eat at home or something.”
I prefer meals prepared by Yoo Ji-hwan over eating out.
When I got a little peeved thinking he didn’t understand my feelings, Yoo Ji-hwan made a troubled expression and said he would figure it out himself.
After finishing the meal with an ambiguous atmosphere like that, Yoo Ji-hwan left saying to rest well.
The house instantly became quiet with one person gone.
Left alone, I immediately went upstairs to prepare for tomorrow.
Since it’s an important day, I thought about smoking a cigarette for the first time in a while and turning on a game…
“No…”
I put down the cigarette without hesitation and sat in front of the computer.
I learned from ‘Nalchang’ that girls who smell like cigarettes aren’t popular, so I need to keep off it from now on.
After turning on the game and entering the guild zone, my ‘friends’ welcomed me as if they had been waiting.
—-
SwordEmperor: hey hey
Midori: You’re here!!!
RareNick: –)/
Chyo1ko: The (prospective) married woman has arrivedㅋㅋ
Nalchang: fr she’s late
—-
I exchanged short greetings with them and immediately got to the point.
—-
SwordEmperor: That’s not what’s important. The date is confirmed for tomorrow
RareNick: Sigh… The time has come
Chyo1ko: The day our SwordEmperor gets pounded front and back…
Nalchang: Fact Plate) There are 3 usable holes.
Midori: Did you buy aphrodisiacs?
—-
I got a bit sick of them spewing sexual harassment without even taking a breath, but since they’ve helped me a lot anyway, I decided to endure it a little.
—-
SwordEmperor: I don’t know exactly where we’re going, but he said we’ll go right after school
Midori: Will they allow you into motels with your school uniform?
Nalchang: You crazy bastard shut up for a sec she’s talking
SwordEmperor: We probably won’t go far and just hang out nearby
—-
They started planning a strategy with the information I provided and Yoo Ji-hwan’s tendencies, then soon began to seriously fight among themselves.
—-
Chyo1ko: No you dumbass no!!! You have to wait no matter what!!! Shy and demure girl!!! Ah my blood pressure
RareNick: If you respond that carelessly, you’ll miss the chance. It’s right to approach first
Midori: Just ask if he wants to go to a motel, and you’ll get an estimate right away? Why keep beating around the bush
Nalchang: Sigh… You crazy bitches. SwordEmperor just bang him against the wall and confess, girl crush conceptㅇㅇ
—-
“Sigh…”
It’s a total mess.
I took my hands off the keyboard and picked up my cell phone, waiting for their opinions to converge.
The night is long anyway.
There’s plenty of time to come up with the perfect plan.

Yoo Ji-hwan’s POV
While searching the internet, an article written by a blogger caught my eye.
[ Monster Zoo Date Review ]
It was a brand-new article that was uploaded just yesterday.
Monster Zoo.
Among the monsters that come out of the gates, some are friendly to humans.
As a result, there are many cases where research has progressed to the point where breeding or reproduction is possible, and it’s a place where those monsters are collected and arranged like a zoo.
I had only heard that it exists and didn’t particularly mark this place, but I thought it would be a good place to hang out tomorrow.
“Oh…”
Looking for a bit more information, it’s a place operated together with a regular zoo and apparently has more variety of monsters than I thought.
While scanning through the article like that, I found information about a new monster that had recently arrived.
[It just arrived yesterday! A horse with a horn on its head, isn’t it really amazing?
There’s an event where you can feed the unicorn, so make sure to participate!! *Not recommended for couples]
It seems even a rare ‘unicorn’ has arrived.
