Chapter 209: Megumi training {209}

Time skip.

After getting his ass beat by a clone for a solid 13 hours or so, Keitaro went back to his house, took a bath, and went to bed.

Even if the wounds and the damage weren't real, he still felt the pain and the pain was indeed pretty real for him at least.

Going to bed, his soul was properly healed after a good night's rest, the next day once he got up, he went through his morning routine.

Getting up, doing some basic exercises, experimenting on the pills, taking a shower, and eating breakfast.

All in all this routine took him about 2 hours or so.

Considering he woke up at 8 and it was now 10.

He spent some time with Shoko, before going to check on his student.

He wondered how much Megumi had improved since Satoru's birthday.

It's been a while, considering the new year was a few days away, Keitaro was planning to leave after New Year's Eve.

He wanted to check on Megumi before his free time was over.

He wondered how Megumi was doing.

As he entered the house, his gaze landed on the training ground behind the house.

He saw Megumi pushing himself to the limit fighting the clone.

He could tell the boy was slightly angry and frustrated...incredibly frustrated.

He wondered why Megumi was frustrated.

Keitaro then looked at the score...oh.....OH.

{400-0}

Goddam, that win-loss ratio was insane, 400 lost...back to back.

That was some crazy stuff.

"Well goddam" Keitaro muttered under his breath, this was a valid reason to be frustrated, he would be annoyed if he lost 400 times in a row.

It must really suck, but oh well, this was the way to get Megumi to think differently.

Keitaro could feel Megumi's frustration from here, it was made even clearer when he felt the child curse energy skyrocket to new heights.

Megumi's face however remained its usual calm self, if anyone was looking at him, they would think he was taking his loss pretty well.

Megumi seemed to be making the hand seal for something, he extended both arms forward at a slight upward angle with his fists closed,

Keitaro was about to rush in and stop it, as he recognized this hand seal way too well.

Was Megumi going to summon 'it' over his loss?

The clone noticing this rushed at Megumi, it had been programmed by Keitaro to immediately rush at Megumi if he ever tried to do those hand seals.

Megumi smirked a bit..."Gotchu" He said as he proceeded to smack the clone away with his fist before rushing toward the clone and starting to fight using hand-to-hand tactics.

"He baited the clone..." Keitaro said with what seemed to be pride in his voice upon noticing his students using trickery.

Faking summoning Marohaga in order to trick the clone into stopping him....he felt glad.

The clone started to retaliate, as it was no longer in a daze and was getting ready to add more wins to its already insane win streak.

As one of the clone's punches sped toward Megumi's face, something truly unexpected happened, coming out of Megumi's shadow, a toad tongue shot out, catching the clone's fist before it could land on Megumi's face.

"Not bad," Keitaro thought to himself, honestly he was pretty impressed by the way Megumi used his shadows.

And from the look of it, it seemed like Megumi had started to learn how to better utilize his shikigami.

It seemed like he placed a binding vow on the toad, the fact that the toad would remain in his shadow and not actually come out.

In exchange for this...The toad tongue was not stronger and faster, meaning it could not pull Megumi out of the way faster than usual and could stun stronger enemies.

He was a proud teacher, but goddam was the kid's growth impressive.

Megumi on the other hand, took advantage of the opening the toad had given him, in order to land a solid punch on the clone.

Without wasting a second for the clone to get his bearing, he drops into his shadow, reappearing behind the clone with a baseball at hand.

Keitaro's eyebrow raised slightly as he watched the scene proceeding.

WHAM!

The sound of the bat connecting with the back of the clone head could be heard echoing throughout the training ground.

The clone staggered for a moment, it was 100% due to the blunt force trauma he had received.

"Goddamn," Keitaro muttered, both impressed and amused by Megumi's ingenuity.

Megumi's frustration could be seen.

He looked happy even, and just to be sure, Megumi summoned the divine dogs to sit on the clone.

His eyes looked up at the scoreboard as if waiting for that zero to turn into a one.

{Scorebord updated}

{Clone} Vs {Megumi}

{400} {1}

{Congratulations you have won}

Megumi fell flat on his behind, he had won and that was good enough for him.

He was too tired to think of anything else.

A/N I fell asleep my bad
