This Is Definitely Not Dragon Ball!!

Chapter 184: Frieza the Battery

The construction of the Frieza Ship was carried out at a secret base of the Dragon Ball Corporation on Earth. Princess Snake led a team of Red Silk Girls ahead of time to prepare the facility.

To save trouble, Yuujin and Goku used Instant Transmission to bring everyone directly to the destination.

At the base, Princess Snake and the Red Silk Girls were already waiting. Apart from them, the person in charge of the base personally came out to greet them as well.

The base's head was a short, demon-like human. Surprisingly, it was an old acquaintance of Yuujin and the group—the infamous Emperor Pilaf, who once sought to gather the Dragon Balls to conquer the world.

"Oh my, oh my, who would've thought Lord Yuujin would grace us with his presence! It's truly an honor!"

Rubbing his hands together, Pilaf hurriedly ran over with a fawning smile upon seeing Yuujin and the others arrive.

Pilaf was accompanied by his subordinate, Shu. However, standing among these legendary figures, Shu was no more than a lowly dog in comparison. After sneaking a glance at the cold-faced Mai, Shu immediately lowered his head, not daring to speak.

"Pilaf, according to Mai, your performance over the years has been commendable. You've managed this base well, and the rapid completion of the Frieza Ship is largely thanks to you," Yuujin praised while surveying the surrounding environment.

"You flatter me, Lord Yuujin. This is merely my duty," Pilaf said, feigning humility but unable to hide the joy on his face.

He glanced gratefully at Mai behind Yuujin, but she remained cold and indifferent, ignoring him.

Years ago, it was Mai who brought Pilaf and Shu to work for the Dragon Ball Corporation under Yuujin. Initially, Pilaf was furious, cursing Mai as a heartless and traitorous villain. Yet, despite his fiery ambition to conquer the world, repeated encounters with Yuujin's godlike power eventually shattered Pilaf's delusions.

How could he dream of world domination when even a bathroom would be beyond his conquest with Yuujin around?

Accepting reality, Pilaf decided to make the best of his situation. If he couldn't rule the world, he would at least strive to be a king among workers—a "Work King."

Though Pilaf had once committed many childish acts and dreamed of grandiose schemes, his talent in mechanical science rivaled even Bulma's. Leveraging this skill, Pilaf climbed the corporate ladder alongside Shu, rising from a lowly odd-jobs worker to the head of this massive base.

Unless an envoy from the temple arrived, Pilaf was practically the ruler of this domain, enjoying an enviable lifestyle.

"Well done is well done. Good work deserves reward," Yuujin declared. "Mai, later, pick two Longevity Fruits from Eden to give them."

Yuujin was never stingy with his loyal subordinates. Given Pilaf's demonic biology and Shu's limited lifespan as a canine humanoid, the Longevity Fruits would extend their lives and enable them to contribute further in the future.

"Yes, Master," Mai replied respectfully.

"Th-That's too generous, Lord Yuujin! Such a reward is far beyond what I deserve!" Pilaf stammered, overwhelmed with shock and gratitude.

For Yuujin and the goddesses of the temple, items like Longevity Fruits and Esenji were as common as snacks. Yet, for outsiders, these fruits were treasures of unparalleled rarity, only granted to those who made extraordinary contributions. On the black market, even a single fruit would fetch a staggering price.

"What's the matter? Don't want it? If not, I'll rescind it," Yuujin teased.

"No, no, I want it! I want it!" Pilaf cried, quickly abandoning any pretense of modesty, terrified of losing the treasure.

"Alright, Mai will deliver them later. For now, take us to see the Frieza Ship," Yuujin said.

"Of course, right this way!" Overjoyed, Pilaf eagerly led the group to the workshop where the Frieza Ship was being assembled.

As Earth's flagship, the Frieza Ship was designed to be imposing and powerful. Larger than any other battleship, it was armed with countless advanced weapons, embodying the pinnacle of Earth's scientific achievements.

What set it apart was its energy source—neither electric nor nuclear. Its main power came from Frieza's biological energy!

When Yuujin and his group entered the ship for a tour, they found several mad scientists operating mechanical arms to install the heavily modified remains of Frieza into the ship's power core.

The Frieza they had salvaged from space was a tattered husk, with only his upper body remaining. Yet now, he looked even worse—his extra limbs had been amputated, leaving only a head and torso. His entire body was connected to the ship via countless tubes and wires, a pitiful shadow of his former glory as the fearsome galactic emperor.

Now, Frieza was no longer a terror-inducing tyrant but a living battery—an eternal energy source for the Frieza Ship.

"How's the progress, Alice?" Yuujin asked as he approached.

Alice, a tall woman in a lab coat with blonde curls, glasses, and a voluptuous figure, was the lead scientist. While her looks might attract countless admirers, few would dare approach if they knew her penchant for dissecting subjects with a smile, perfectly preserving their organs and brains in formaldehyde.

"Our god has arrived," Alice quipped, not looking up as her fingers danced across the keyboard. "Just a little more—once the circuits and startup protocols are connected, it'll be ready."

The other women in lab coats were similarly engrossed, paying no heed to Yuujin's presence.

Despite being Earth's deity, Yuujin was used to the indifference of these science-obsessed maniacs. Instead, he joined Bulma and the others to observe the process with interest.

"Frieza, you look utterly pathetic now!" Vegeta mocked, stepping up to the restrained figure.

"This Frieza can't hear you. His brain has suffered extensive damage, and we've removed all unnecessary functions," Alice commented casually as she continued her work.

However, the next moment, a surge of overwhelming energy erupted from Frieza's body. Red alarms blared wildly on the scientists' monitors.

To everyone's shock, Frieza, restrained by numerous mechanical supports, slowly opened his eyes, his face contorting into a vengeful snarl.

"SAIYANS! SAIYANS! SAIYANS!"
