Chapter 259: Going to Mary Geoise

_______

Boom!

Ahead, a wild boar over five meters tall, as massive as a small hill, charged forward wildly. Each step it took caused the ground to tremble, its heavy footsteps resounding like rolling thunder.

On the opposite side, a bison with enormous, sharp horns and a muscular frame was also charging, its movements equally ferocious.

Hancock stood tall, her posture unwavering. A black cloth covered her eyes, her expression was stoic, and her long black hair flowed freely in the wind.

The bison arrived first, its razor-sharp horns aimed directly at Hancock's chest.

With a fluid motion, she dodged effortlessly, as though she had foreseen the attack.

At that moment, the wild boar reached her, barreling forward like an unstoppable freight train. It showed no signs of slowing, its massive body threatening to crush anything in its path.

Hancock raised her leg high, her foot from the ankle downward turning jet-black with Haki. She brought it down forcefully onto the wild boar's head.

Boom!

The thunderous impact shook the area, sending leaves cascading from the trees.

The wild boar's charge came to an abrupt halt. Its enormous body collapsed to the ground with a resounding crash, half of its head turned to stone.

Using the wild boar's carcass as a springboard, Hancock leaped into the air. Twisting her body mid-spin, she delivered a powerful kick to the bison's head.

Boom!

The bison slammed into the ground, skidding a considerable distance before crashing into a cluster of trees. Its head shattered into countless stone fragments.

Hancock landed lightly, pulling off her blindfold with a graceful motion.

"How was that?" she asked.

Aoki raised a thumb in approval.

"Impressive."

Learning Haki was no small feat.

It had taken Luffy a year and a half to master.

Yet in just three months, Hancock had already grasped the basics of both Armament Haki and Observation Haki. Such rapid progress required a combination of exceptional talent and relentless effort.

A trace of pride flashed across Hancock's face, though it quickly gave way to regret.

"Unfortunately, I still have no clue about the Conqueror's Haki entanglement you mentioned."

Aoki chuckled, shaking his head.

"Don't worry about it," he said.

If possessing the Haki of Conqueror signified the qualifications of a king, then mastering its entanglement represented a true entry into the ranks of the world's strongest.

In the original story, Hancock never demonstrated the ability to use Conqueror's Haki entanglement.

It wasn't an easy skill to learn, and it was entirely possible that she might never master it.

After reminiscing briefly and informing Hancock of his temporary departure and the current status of Burning Heaven, Aoki bid her farewell.

---

Flying swiftly, Aoki soon spotted the Red Line in the distance.

Below, a massive fortress came into view, its tallest building emblazoned with the word "Navy."

This was the infamous Naval Headquarters.

"I left in such a rush last time that I didn't get a proper look," Aoki mused, gazing down at the fortress.

But the Naval Headquarters wasn't his destination today.

With that thought, he soared higher into the sky. In the blink of an eye, Aoki reached an altitude of ten thousand meters, standing atop the Red Line.

A grand, luxurious city stretched out before him.

Mary Geoise.

Aoki landed on the edge of the Red Line, surveying the opulent town.

"I'm back," he murmured.

He had to return.

The Celestial Dragons—the top of the world's hierarchy—were here.

At that moment, an invisible wave rippled through the air, causing the space around him to solidify.

Aoki stood still, sensing the phenomenon for a couple of seconds before a faint smile appeared on his face.

"Such a quick response. Were you expecting me?"

Silence greeted his question.

Aoki chuckled lightly and continued, "We've crossed paths so many times. Are you really not going to come out and greet me?"

Brush, brush, brush.

As soon as Aoki finished speaking, three figures descended simultaneously.

On the left stood an old man with hair and a beard shaped into sharp spikes curving forward. He was none other than Aoki's old acquaintance, the Supreme Commander of the Knights of God, Ancient Saint Figarland Garling.

In the center was a tall, thin old man with white hair and beard, dressed in a blue suit and black tie. His demeanor exuded the authority of someone who had wielded power over life and death for decades.

To the right stood a middle-aged man wearing a hat, a navy "justice" coat, and a dark red suit. A cigar hung from his mouth, and his expression was firm and ferocious.

This was Akainu, wielder of the Magma-Magma Fruit, one of the Navy's three admirals, and the likely next Fleet Admiral.

"Ant, I didn't expect you to dare set foot in Mary Geoise!"

The white-haired old man in the center spoke with a condescending tone, his eyes filled with disdain.

"Marcus Mars Saint," Aoki said, his gaze scrutinizing the man.

"Why are you the only one here? What about the other four? Are they too afraid to act, or are they lurking in the shadows, waiting for the chance to strike me down?"

Mars, the Martial God of the Five Elders, stood unfazed.

Ancient Saint Figarland, Akainu—everyone present was noticeably younger than they would appear a dozen years later.

However, Mars looked exactly the same as he would over a decade from now.

Unfortunately, Aoki's "Transparent World" ability was being suppressed by the combined force of Devil Fruits and Haki, preventing him from fully seeing through the bodies of such powerful opponents.

Akainu exhaled, releasing a puff of black smoke and sparks as he stepped forward. His arms transformed into flowing magma, his eyes cold and brimming with murderous intent.

"Stop resisting. Today, you die!"

With a roar, his arm expanded, transforming into a massive fist of molten lava. It surged toward Aoki with the force of a volcanic eruption.

In response, Aoki's body began to change. His ears elongated and sharpened, four horns sprouted from his head, and his long silver hair cascaded down to his ankles.

He clenched his fist as powerful winds converged around him, compressing into a dense, transparent layer of armor over his hand.

The colossal lava fist closed in, the searing heat illuminating Aoki's face in a fiery red glow. Without hesitation, Aoki stretched his body like a drawn bow and launched his fist forward.

The wind gathered at his fist intensified, forming a massive vortex over a kilometer in diameter, pulling in the surrounding clouds and mist.

Before Aoki's fist even made contact with the magma, the compressed wind exploded outward.

Boom!

The sky darkened as a fierce gale erupted, shattering the ground like brittle tofu. A suffocating atmosphere enveloped Mary Geoise.

"Not enough!" Aoki's voice rang out as his power shifted.

Blue arcs of electricity crackled to life around his fists, expanding rapidly into twin thunder dragons.

Boom, boom, boom!

The sky turned a blinding shade of blue as lightning illuminated the heavens.

A thunderous bolt struck, and the Red Line fractured instantly, creating a gap tens of meters wide.

The massive lava fist disintegrated, while arcs of electricity surged toward Akainu, crackling with devastating power.

"Sakazuki, so eager to attack?" Aoki's voice echoed through the chaos.

"Lightning? Wind?" Akainu's cold eyes narrowed, magma bubbling across his body.

The intelligence reports had mentioned nothing about these powers.

Mar's body swelled, transforming into the form of Izuma Tenma, a creature with bird-like wings and a snake-like body, wreathed in thick black smoke.

Saint Figarland ignored the countless wind blades slicing through the air. He crossed swiftly to Aoki's side, unsheathing a blade wrapped in a heavy layer of Armament Haki.

"Actually, I'm not here to fight today," Aoki said, his tone calm despite the tension.

He paid no mind to the imminent attacks from Saint Figarland and the rapidly approaching Marcus Mars Saint. Instead, he opened his arms wide.

Boom!

Endless lightning erupted from Aoki's body, enveloping him in a brilliant sphere of electricity.

Dark clouds churned in the sky, and countless bolts of lightning descended, illuminating Mary Geoise in a dazzling, chaotic light.

"Even if it's lightning, I can cut it!"

Without hesitation, Saint Figarland drew his sword. Dozens of meters of sword energy surged forth, slicing effortlessly through the blinding lightning.

Tear!

The lightning dispersed, but Aoki was nowhere to be found.

"Hm?"

Saint Figarland narrowed his eyes, scanning the area.

Akainu and Mars did the same, their gazes shifting toward Mary Geoise.

In the distance, a flash of lightning coalesced into Aoki's form, floating high above Mary Geoise.

This was the edge of the battlefield, the boundary of his domain.

Aoki glanced toward Pangaea Castle, but his search yielded nothing.

Even so, the moment he set foot in Mary Geoise, an inexplicable sense of dread had gripped him.

That lingering fear was the reason he had avoided prolonged engagement with Akainu and the others, opting instead to make his retreat.

The power of the Imprisonment Fruit could interfere with "space travel," but it was powerless against "world travel."

Aoki turned his gaze back to Akainu and the other two, his expression resolute.

"I will return," he declared.

In an instant, his figure vanished.
