221. Lonely Harry
After Vernon went downstairs to warn his wife and son not to go upstairs, he stayed by the phone. He was sure that whether the little boy's words had any effect or not, his boss would call again soon.
"What's going on?" Harry was both happy and confused.
Hermione pointed at Magos, who was looking around.
"You can ask him, but I think it's better for you not to know."
"why?"
"Don't listen to her. The main reason is that my family cooperates with your uncle's company. I asked my father's friend to talk to your uncle, and he let us in."
Upon hearing his words, Hermione glanced at him and took it as acquiescence.
"So that's it." Harry was convinced of his words, and at the same time he was also a little thankful that he was so lucky.
Then Hermione began to ask Harry how he was doing with his summer homework, and Harry hesitated a little.
"You haven't done it yet." Hermione was a little surprised. She always thought that Harry was also a serious person.
"I think his uncle didn't give him a chance to do it." Magos walked to the window sill and said with a smile, seeing that the security window that they had damaged last year had been repaired.
"Oh my god, this is so," Hermione said, unable to find words to describe it, because you couldn't explain this to someone who was completely hostile to magic.
Harry looked at her expression unfazed, but instead reassured her that he was used to it and it was no big deal.
"But now, I think I should be able to get my book back." Then complained,
"I think it's unreasonable for the wizarding world not to allow underage wizards to use magic."
"No." Hermione shook her head seriously.
"In fact, it is very meaningful. Children's minds are immature and they are prone to extremes once something happens, so it is more appropriate to use legal restraint."
Magos pulled out the only chair,
"Please take a seat, little lord."
Hermione gave him an annoyed look and sat down.
"Where's Hedwig?"
"Maybe he went to catch mice."
While they were chatting, the phone rang downstairs. Vernon quickly picked up the phone with agility that was inappropriate for his size. However, before he could confirm whether it was his boss's call, a huge roar came from inside.
"Hello? Hello? Can you hear me? I'm looking for Harry Potter!"
Vernon was shocked by the sudden roar, and then he reacted and was about to get angry and curse. Then he thought of Magos, and the corners of his mouth trembled twice to hold back the anger that was about to burst out.
"Wait." He shouted into the phone. Then he plopped his way upstairs.
"Harry, I have your phone number." He knocked on the door and shouted.
Harry, who was talking, was stunned.
"Maybe it's Ron." He said, opening the door, and was a little at a loss when he saw Uncle Vernon standing at the door with an ugly face.
Vernon barely shook his face when he saw Magos in the door, maybe it was a smile.
"Go quickly, but don't talk for too long. I have an urgent call." Vernon threatened Harry with his eyes.
"I know." Harry hurried downstairs to the phone.
"Ron?"
"Harry, that's great." The loud voice made Harry move the phone away from him.
"You don't have to be so loud, Ron. What's the matter?"
"We are leaving for Egypt tomorrow. Are you really not going with us?"
Harry looked yearning when he heard this, but he still refused. Maybe it was Dumbledore's ambiguous words last year, or maybe he was a little jealous that he could travel with his family. Anyway, in the end, Ron said that he would bring it to him when the time came. Souvenir, and then hung up the phone with some regret.
Harry was a little distracted when he heard the beeping sound from the phone. He thought he was used to the current situation, but for some reason, he had the urge to cry.
"Get out of the way when you're done. I'll have something urgent to do later." Vernon's annoying tone made Harry wake up from his nostalgic state. He smiled to himself,
'I have lost my relatives a long time ago.But I still have friends, very good friends. '
"What did Ron say?"
"They are going to Egypt tomorrow." Harry said with a smile, not showing the sadness on his face just now.
"Hermione is going to France in a while. You and I are the only ones who are still in the UK. I don't think Malfoy will come out to meet us."
"makes sense."
"It's getting late, we should go back. I will come back to you when I have time." Magos looked at his watch, it was almost ten o'clock.
Harry was a little reluctant to leave, but he didn't hold back and left Vernon's house with them.
"If he treats you like he did before, you can call me. After all, my father's friend knows his boss." McGoss said to Harry when he walked to the car.
"I will." Harry nodded, but he knew that he would not trouble him. He was very satisfied that he could make Vernon give in today.
"Bye." After the car started, Magos and Hermione waved to Harry who was standing on the roadside watching them leave.
Harry waved back and didn't stop until the car was no longer visible. Then a strong feeling of loneliness came over him, leaving him not knowing where to go next.If possible, he really didn't want to go back to the uncle's house that filled him with bad memories.
A white figure flew over in the sky and stood on Harry's shoulder.
"Hedwig, you don't want to go back to that home, do you?"
"Cuckoo," the white owl might have said.
"But we had to stay there. Although I don't know why, I think Principal Dumbledore and Hagrid were doing it for my own good." As he said this, he subconsciously touched the lightning scar on his forehead. .He remembered the Voldemort possessing the back of Quirrell's head that he had encountered in the first grade and the basilisk this year. He felt that the basilisk came just for him, and it might be related to Voldemort. Otherwise, why would Dumbledore specially send The former Auror named Moody defended himself.
He had a feeling that this kind of thing was not over yet, and perhaps it would only truly end when a wizard who could kill Voldemort appeared.
He didn't know how long he stood outside, but he didn't turn back until Vernon's voice called him from inside the room.
Vernon looked like he had already received the call he wanted, and there was no sign that Magos was still there.
"Listen," Vernon scowled and walked over to Harry.
"I have to admit that you are so lucky to know such a big shot, but I need you to remember that you are living in my house now. Maybe your friend can make me lose my job, but I can also make you lose my job in the future. I can’t go to that magic school either.”
"I never thought of taking advantage of my friends." Harry looked at him and said calmly,
"But I need you to return my books and other personal belongings to me. That won't be difficult for you."
Vernon stared at him in silence for a while,
"Yes, but you can't make a sound."
"make a deal."
"What's going on?" Harry was both happy and confused.
Hermione pointed at Magos, who was looking around.
