Chapter 581: Chapter 0581: Mural (Request for Subscription)
“All your schemes have been subverted. Do you feel despair?”
Su Lu looked at Alfred’s blood-stained and twisted face and casually asked.
“Never! Never!”
“Kill me, Evil God! My spirit will be reborn in my Master’s Kingdom,” Alfred answered resolutely.
“Heh….”
Su Lu sneered, “It seems you don’t understand the horror of a divine spirit, particularly me. Once killed by me, you will die completely and you will never be redeemed.”
While he spoke, numerous tentacles had already entangled Alfred’s limbs.
A large mouth full of jagged teeth appeared on the floor and swallowed Alfred whole.
…
Material Realm.
The Theology Department office.
Everything remained the same, except that its master had vanished.
Su Lu sat in Alfred’s chair, casually flipping through a file.
“A list of important items sealed?”
It was mainly for some very dangerous yet indestructible items– most were the cursed objects created by the Demon Professionals, subject to unified management and sealing.
The location was under the Bright Cathedral!
“Since I came here, naturally, I must go see it.”
Su Lu thought for a while, disguised himself as Alfred, and walked out of the office with dignity.
“Archbishop!”
“Archbishop!”
Along the way, all the clerics who saw him showed expressions of fear and respect, stepping aside and saluting.
Alfred’s status within the Church of Light was quite high, and he was one of the few high-ranking church officials who could directly enter the ‘Sealed Place’.
Su Lu arrived at the bottom of the church, in front of a huge stone door.
An ancient and vast aura emanated from the stone door, its surface engraved with numerous symbols representing ‘Seal’ and ‘Forbidden’.
On either side of the stone door stood two guards, still as marble statues.
They were expressionless, standing perfectly straight with no breath or wave fluctuation, like two ordinary humans.
‘Two [Guardians of God]? Hmm, they originally possessed the abilities of ‘guarding’ and ‘protecting’; they are quite suitable as guardians…one of them seems to be an ancestor of Pottery’s family…’
Su Lu rolled his eyes secretly, too lazy to care.
For him, these ancestors of the Pottery family were already walking corpses, of no value to salvage.
If they were to block his path, he wouldn’t hesitate to slap them to death.
“I want to enter the Sealed Place.”
When he walked up to the two guards, Su Lu stated indifferently.
One of them, appearing cold like a millennia-old iceberg, glanced at Su Lu as if verifying the authenticity of this ‘Judging Archbishop’.
After a moment, he nodded and opened the stone door to the ‘Sealed Place’.
As soon as he entered, Su Lu felt a restrictive force.
Here, both dimensional and spirit world fluctuations were prohibited, making teleportation difficult.
Of course, if not, the sacred grounds of the Bright Cathedral would become the backyard of those with teleportation abilities.
Also, the level of restriction was quite high.
Based on Su Lu’s estimate, if he hadn’t upgraded the level of Spirit World Traversal to LV4, he would still be forbidden to teleport here; a somewhat terrifying thought.
Perhaps no occupational person could teleport and escape from this place under the gods.
He looked to both sides.
The cave was not pitch-black, the walls were adorned with various stones that emitted white light.
There weren’t any display racks for cursed objects, only murals painted directly on the walls.
Su Lu approached the nearest mural.
The mural depicted a music box, with an annotation beside it— ‘Cursed Music Box: Whoever hears its music will be cursed and attacked by an evil spirit within twenty-four hours! Note: Even when it’s unopened, it will open itself periodically. Suggestion: Permanently seal it!’
“Interesting method.”
Su Lu’s hand landed on the mural, and a stream of information automatically surfaced.
The walls and murals here were just illusions, what was truly hidden within was the corpse of a terrifying high-ranking spirit world creature — and a contract.
The spirit world creature was named – Silvinas!
It loved art, admired various aesthetics, and often lingered in in the gaps of the spirit world at art exhibitions and galleries. It had the ability to travel between the spirit world and reality, and even open up hidden spaces. This Silvinas was strong, with a sixth-order peak strength.
While it was alive, the Church of Light signed a contract with it, in exchange for the right to use its corpse; they offered a massive amount of artwork.
‘I can sense the unwillingness on its corpse, it seems that after signing the contract, the Church of Light killed it… taking advantage of the loopholes in the contract.’
Su Lu smirked: “The dead Silvinas is very dangerous, it has merged with this cave, swallowing everything in it. It could be considered a dangerous object that needs to be sealed.”
“But the church capitalized on this characteristic, using several other fascinating items to create this mural environment… Not only is the space incredibly vast within, but it also possesses a powerful sealing ability, there is basically no need to worry about cursed objects of demons rioting or contaminating…”
He shook his head quietly after walking half a circle.
The truly harmful magical items wouldn’t be kept here, and even the most dreadful of them all, Su Lu didn’t find appealing.
As for artifacts, they were even less likely to appear unless someone is mistaken.
Of course, there may be some secrets hidden in these objects, but Su Lu didn’t bother to take them out one by one to play.
Finally, he arrived in front of a mural.
It depicted a pale yellow sheepskin scroll, with an annotation beside it— ‘Cursed Poem of a Demon: Possibly a high-ranking demon curse object, there is a risk of ‘infection.’ Suggestion: Permanently Seal it!’
“A high-ranking demon professional?”
Su Lu couldn’t help but chuckle, but he also knew that the clergy of the church did not have his attribute bar to assist in identification, and those sheepskin scrolls all had the ability to hide their own ranks and concealing their existence was normal.
“Perhaps… after some time, it may delude the keeper and leave with them.”
Su Lu stretched out his hand and entered into the mural.
A series of crisp sounds echoed.
The alarm outside was heart-wrenchingly shrill, but it couldn’t stop him from retracting his hand, upon which he held one corner of the sheepskin scroll.
A scan of the attribute bar revealed a string of information:
[Abyssal Poem · Chapter Three · Spread]
“Indeed, a spread? Maybe it can be used on the Church of Light…”
Su Lu glanced at the approaching Guardian of God, thoughtful.
Previously a little bit of contamination spread, causing a terrible meme curse, although he couldn’t completely unseal its power to create a demon weapon, understanding a bit of its ability and using it was hopeful.
However, this was not the matter at hand.
He gave a soft laugh, his figure gradually faded and disappeared…
…
In the Dream Spirit World.
Su Lu was about to use its special rules for teleportation.
Suddenly, the figure of a woman appeared in front of him.
