Transmigrated With A Time Chamber In DxD

Chapter 289: Chapter 289

The conversation she had with him played in her head like a record. There was only a month remaining until he left for the next few years.

"..."

For a moment, Shuri stood in place. He was about to leave and if he would be indeed gone for the next few years, then all the work she'd put in over the past several months would be for nought.

"No. I must talk with Aurelia-san."

Subtle seduction---that was how she would tame Igor. He was a lover of legs so she wore slightly shorter, more youthful dresses to show off a bit of thigh.

She would initiate intimate contact with him that would blur the lines between casual and romantic. Was she reaching for something? Well she didn't intend to almost shove her cleavage in his face. Was she sitting down? Pardon her for pulling her dress in a way that made her rear look more shapely.

It was these little things she did so he would look at her as a woman, not just another sister. And it worked! There were times when his eyes lingered too long on her body. The problem was, this man was too straight!

His gaze was ever only appreciative without a hint of lust. In fact, it was the other men who had the reaction she wanted from him. When they were in the park, he looked at her like how those car enthusiasts would admire a vintage car. It was those stinky-eyed random men who had looks like they just sniffed an aphrodisiac.

It was fortunate he was there to scare them off, maybe break the noses of some who were more persistent, but couldn't he atleast inherit some of their perverseness!? It wasn't like she was unwilling…

But if it were easy, then he wouldn't be who he was. Getting out of the sister-zone was hard, but Shuri was confident in her plan working. Trigger his lust through her body, his heart through his stomach, and his care through her demureness---a three-step plan that was guaranteed to work!

Of course, there was one disadvantage to this plan. Well…a couple if she was honest. She didn't think it possible, but she fell even harder for him. He treated her kindly, respected her boundaries, and treated her like a very good friend…sister.

It was scumbaggy, but the more he stayed loyal to Aurelia, the more she wanted him. Igor was too rare of a catch! No wonder Aurelia trusted him so much and could leave for the Underworld with peace of mind.

Speaking of the silverette, Shuri would never dare to do this without her permission. Aurelia didn't quite explicitly agree, but she hinted she'd 'look the other way' and feign ignorance.

In all the months Aurelia would leave for the Underworld, Shuri would take the opportunity to target Igor. It was fortunate he'd stopped going to the time chamber. It made her job much easier.

It was still difficult, however. She was a bit subtle with her actions, but this straight-laced man wasn't biting the hook! On the other hand, it seemed like she was the one in danger of falling head over heels for him…again.

Why couldn't this handsome, charismatic, strong, idiot of a man look at her like the predators they saw in all those wildlife films? She'd lost count of how many times she considered just sitting on his lap and take his lips to heaven and back.

But she couldn't. She had to play the long game. One night of passion wasn't worth the eternal estrangement that would follow after. He's the one who had to fall for her, not the other way around.

Well…it was already too late for her, but she still had enough rationale not to push him down on the spot…though it has been getting harder. She could still manage to last for the next year or so before she caved to her desires, but she might not have the chance if he left in June.

There was only one month left and after all this time, she'd only moved from sister-zone to friend-zone. It was unfair how a beautiful woman like her had to chase after a big clueless oaf like him instead of the other way around, but it couldn't be helped if her heart loved this big clueless oaf to death.

Still, it wasn't fair! He should've been all over her since long ago for Kami's sake! If she didn't know better, she'd swear he swung the other way. But she had to calm down. She couldn't lose her way.

In one month, he'd leave and this time, she needed to pull out all the stops. Perhaps she could cooperate with Aurelia, but that'd be too brash. She'd made it abundantly clear she would not help at all.

[The pool. Dimori-kun has yet to see me in a bikini. If I propose it as a family outing, no one will have the ground to refuse.]

It was a trump card she'd prepared to use for the last month Igor would be here. She'd invite everyone so as to make everything look natural. She was hesitant, but she'd also invite Cleria's new knight, Masaomi Yaegaki along with his apprentice, Irina Shidou.

If there was another male around, perhaps it might trigger Igor's possessiveness. It was a practical guarantee he'd shield Aurelia from any prying eyes. She just hoped she'd also be 'shielded' not like a brother protecting his sister, but as a man protecting his woman.

Hmm…perhaps she was too forward with that thought, but it wasn't bad to hope. Hope gave her the belief her mattress would also make squeaky sounds soon.

A normal family breakfast was all Igor could ever ask for. Asia was by his side at the table. Aurelia was on the other side with Akeno. Shuri sat at the head with the other head seat vacant.

Everyone was feasting with joy, especially Igor and Asia. Those two never gave up their fast eating habits. Their hands practically blurred with how fast they shoved food into their mouths.

It was eight in the morning and the town had come to life. There was a war ongoing in the Heavenly Realm, but Igor once more, took no part in it.

There were times when he felt a bit anxious being away from training and fighting. Sitting around was…weird. If he summed up his entire life, it was always about training or fighting and after eight decades of these constant habits, it was hard to relax.

Today was one of the days his sisters would have their day off. It was also the day they picked to go play with their new friends, Irina and Issei.

He didn't understand why his sisters would waste time with those two. They were like normal humans in every right. They couldn't even jump twice their height and their speed could barely reach double digits. No matter how he looked at it, his sisters choosing to associate with these two kids was pointless.

But, kids were kids. Perhaps his sisters loved bullying the weak? They always did win at games like tag. Regardless of reason, he'd let them play around.

Atleast he wasn't going alone. Shuri would be going with him while Aurelia would be going to the Underworld…again. That woman of his was really attached to her work and wanted to see it through. It was going well so far from what he knew.

When Aurelia was gone, Shuri wasn't bad company. She had crappy taste in movies, but meh. To each their own preferences. Be it her or her past self, they were both fond of those horrible romance movies.

Sometimes he found himself wondering if she'd ever find love or someone else again. He no longer harboured thoughts of her getting together with Baraquiel, but it was almost guaranteed Shuri would have suitors.

She was a very beautiful woman…really beautiful. He could shamelessly admit she was quite a catch. His only problem was which scumbag would capture her heart. He had to atleast make sure they weren't weak or atleast had the potential and desire to surpass God Class. But so far, he hadn't seen Shuri go after someone.

On the contrary, it was others going after her, including yokai. As Amaterasu's priestess, she did appear in public occasionally to conduct rites and whaddya know---the temple she oversees has gotten very famous.

He had half-a-mind to neutralise all those perverts. Useless wastes weren't worthy of her. Maybe he'd see about finding Shuri a potential suitor. Souji would make a good candidate, but he wasn't sure of the man's drive yet.

No matter what, whoever courted Shuri, or any of his sisters for that matter, could never be allowed to stagnate at God Class. In the real supernatural world, only those with strength in the Supreme Class had the right to talk business.

Unbelievably, Shuri is pulling out all the stops. I half-expected she'd be reserved, especially in her thoughts. I can say with utter finality her Yamato Nadeshiko mask has utterly been shattered, atleast from my perspective. Or maybe all women are just this perverted and they hide it really well? Who knows what those creatures think.
