Trapped in Paradise (In a Hentai World, as a Trap)

Volume 1 Chapter 101: There’s A Pervert!

Even if she’s all alone, if it’s daytime…. It should be safe… right?

“Hey, Wen Yang, I’m going to get a Coke.”

After class, when the four of them arrived in front of the dormitory building, Ning Chu suddenly stopped and called out to Wen Yang.

Wen Yang paused, turned his head, and instinctively wanted to follow Ning Chu.

“You guys go on ahead.”

But Ning Chu refused his offer.

“Alright then.”

Watching her roommates enter the dormitory and disappear from view, Ning Chu’s heart gradually began to race.

She took a deep breath, turned around, and looked toward the small convenience store about a hundred meters away.

It’s only that short of a distance…

She swallowed nervously, her body tensing up involuntarily as her guard went up, her eyes darting around for potential threats.

It’s broad daylight—nothing bad could happen, right?

It was after class, and a large number of male students, eager to return to their dorms, were rushing past her.

She kept her head down, walking against the crowd towards the store, but her legs were trembling with anxiety.

Though those characters in Hentai novel she wrote are often extreme—Yandere, stalker, or depraved pervert—most of the people here are just normal.

Even if this world is run by Hentai logic, and the proportion of creeps is higher, it still shouldn’t be so bad that you’d run into one when you are just going to buy a Coke, right?

Ning Chu tried to calm herself, quickening her steps, but suddenly her shoulder was bumped hard. Her small frame immediately lost balance, and she fell straight to the ground.

Ignoring the pain, she quickly looked up in panic, only to see a sunny-looking boy, a fellow student, reaching out to her with an apologetic expression.

But she didn’t accept his help, getting up quickly on her own and hurrying towards the convenience store.

Her heart felt like it was about to explode, making her chest feel tight and uncomfortable.

Sweat had already formed on her palms and forehead. She felt as though suspicious eyes were watching her from all directions, ready to pounce the moment she let her guard down.

Bracing herself, with her hands clenched into fists, she hurried to the entrance of the convenience store.

Thank goodness, despite her panic, nothing had happened.

Her breathing was a bit erratic, and she suspiciously glanced behind her, seeing no one paying her any attention. Only then did she jog over to the freezer and grab a bottle of cold Coke and an ice cream.

Everything went smoothly!

Turns out she was just scaring herself.

That time she was being watched at the amusement park was just a rare incident, yet it made her think that stepping out of the protagonist’s protection would immediately lead to all sorts of unsavory events happening to her.

Although she still felt uneasy inside, the initial panic had subsided. Ning Chu walked into the store, placed the Coke and ice cream on the counter, and asked the shopkeeper, “How much?”

The man behind the counter glanced up. “Twenty-five.”

“???”

Ning Chu was dumbfounded, staring at the two items on the counter.

The shopkeeper casually explained, “Little girl…”

Little girl?

Ning Chu squinted her eyes, just about to correct the shopkeeper’s form of address, when she heard the second half of his sentence: “The ice cream is twenty-two.”

What?! That expensive?!

She had never eaten ice cream costing more than five yuan in her life. Startled, she quickly turned around and put the ice cream back.

When she returned to the counter, all she had left was the Coke. She scanned the code and paid.

The nervousness Ning Chu had felt earlier had mostly dissipated.

This world wasn’t as terrifying as she had imagined.

As long as she didn’t let her thoughts run wild or succumb to paranoia, going out alone was actually quite easy.

In fact, she had previously wandered alone around the dormitory garden. Although she encountered a couple sneaking around, there really hadn’t been any danger.

In that case, maybe she could start planning her escape…

Ning Chu walked back to the dormitory building, head down, slowly thinking things over, when her shoulder was bumped again.

This time she kept her balance, looked up, and her expression froze.

It was you again!

It was the same student who had bumped into her earlier!

“What a coincidence, sorry about that…”

There’s no way this was a coincidence!

The student looked apologetic, but Ning Chu shivered, cold sweat breaking out all over her body. She turned and ran like she had seen a ghost.

Her little legs moved as fast as they could. Not even when she was chased by a big dog for two streets as a kid had she run this fast.

This was way scarier than a dog!

The student stood there dumbfounded, watching Ning Chu dart into the dormitory building, utterly confused. He touched his face and muttered to himself, “Do I look that scary? I thought it was a nice coincidence…”

“Hold on a second, why’d she run into the boys’ dorm?”

Bang!

The door suddenly flew open, scaring Wen Yang so much he almost jumped. He turned to see Ning Chu, drenched in sweat, leaning against the door, bent over, gasping for air.

“???”

Ning Chu lifted her head, glanced around at the familiar dorm, then at Wen Yang, Zhang Shaoqing, and Wang Jie. Instantly, she felt at ease. Her legs gave out, and she collapsed to the floor.

The all-out sprint across several hundred meters and up multiple flights of stairs had left her too exhausted to even lift her fingers.

“What happened?” Wen Yang asked nervously, watching her.

Ning Chu was sitting on the ground, legs spread in a w-sitting position, breathing heavily, with tears welling up in her wide eyes.

The sight tugged at his heart.

Ning Chu pointed at the door, still in shock. “Just now… I was being followed by a creep!”

“What?!”

“What the hell! Who has such weird tastes?”

“Huh?”

Wen Yang immediately opened the door and looked down the hallway but found nothing. “There’s no one here.”

“He probably stopped following me once he saw I returned to the dorm,” Ning Chu mumbled, lowering her head with a heavy sigh. “That scared me to death.”

“Explain what happened,” Zhang Shaoqing teased, not taking her seriously. “Look at you sitting like that, all dainty and ladylike. No wonder some creep would target you.”

“I bumped into him at the store, and then on my way back, he bumped into me again… He must’ve done it on purpose!”

Wen Yang paused. “Are you sure you’re not overreacting?”

Overreacting? No way! What if it really was a stalker?

This is a school romance world! If a creep gets his way, at the very least, it’ll end in some messed-up situation for her!

And now that she was a girl, she was even more at risk!

The sound of footsteps in the hallway made Ning Chu flinch. She quickly crouched down and cautiously peered out the window to check. It was just a familiar face, a classmate who lived on the same floor.

Zhang Shaoqing muttered, “Are you paranoid or something? Sure, you look feminine, but you’ve got no chest, no curves. Who’d even be into you?”

“It’s fine now,” Wen Yang said, feeling genuinely sorry for Ning Chu.

Even though he thought she was overreacting, he still patted her shoulder reassuringly. “If anything happens again, just come to me. It’s good to be cautious.”

“Okay…” With just a few pats on the shoulder, Ning Chu’s nerves started to relax. She nodded weakly and asked, exhausted, “Has my food delivery arrived?”

After that sprint, she was starving.

“It’s on your desk.”
