[TS] Obsessed Gamer: The Ultimate Return

Chapter 451

[Set 1 POG Selection]

[OLZ Getback (Pizhu)]

Set 1 POG was awarded to Pizhu from Getback.

Of course, many viewers expected the Jungler to be chosen for POG, but Pizhu from Getback was selected by a single vote in the official poll.

Objectively speaking, if you consider the game, it makes sense to say the Jungler carried, but it’s a fact that Pizhu earned that kill.

Sometimes the selection of POG leans more toward emotion than logic, so it wasn’t that strange.

The important thing is that Pizhu from Getback undeniably performed at a level that warranted the POG selection in Set 1.

As if to prove this, the commentators couldn’t hide their excitement.

“Oh, Pizhu got POG! Set 1 POG goes to Pizhu from Getback!”

“Personally, I thought Outlaw’s Lee Sin made a decisive contribution to the victory, but Pizhu’s impressive kills were quite the sight as well.”

“That’s right. Honestly, it wouldn’t have been strange no matter who got it. Not just the Jungle and Mid, but players in other lanes also held their ground, and it turned out to be more one-sided than expected.”

“Exactly! One thing’s for sure, OLZ showed incredible gameplay in Set 1. And Pizhu from Getback performed shockingly well. Who could have imagined he’d prepare such a card against Sandra?”

“Surely many players will find inspiration from Pizhu’s performance. Honestly, until now, no one picked Pizhu against Sandra despite how good he was, due to champion tier and his lack of wave clear.”

“Honestly, I still think Pizhu is a bit of a tricky pick. Without those super plays from Lee Sin, Pizhu would have struggled a lot.”

“Haha, maybe it was all possible because it was OLZ?”

As the commentators continued their conversation, the chat was buzzing as well.

– Getback did this?

– Huh?

– Shouldn’t the Jungler have gotten it? The early Jungle super plays really set the tone for the game.

– Still, Pizhu did well, lol.

– If your team drains resources but still carries, that deserves recognition, lol.

– True, but our team just drained resources and didn’t do anything.

– Set 1 aside, do you think Pizhu will work in Set 2? I doubt it.

– Who knows?

Everyone had their opinions, but the consensus among the commentators and viewers was clear.

No one knows yet.

The game wasn’t over, and SCV, which lost Set 1, wouldn’t just roll over.

Especially since this was a match between strong teams, they couldn’t afford to relax until the very end.

“Oh, the ban/pick for Set 2 has started.”

After a brief break, the ban/pick for Set 2 began.

OLZ’s side was Blue.

SCV’s side was Red.

In other words, OLZ had the first pick.

“Hmm, considering OLZ was Blue in Set 1, I thought SCV would take Blue since they have the choice, but they chose Red instead.”

“The Red side might be more advantageous? They could’ve thought that or perhaps have something prepared.”

“Let’s keep an eye on it.”

As SCV made their consecutive picks on the Red side, the chat was stirring.

– Again Red?

– Feeling uneasy.

– Outlaw, is he controlling the opponent?

– Wouldn’t it be better to swap sides?

– It’s not ‘him,’ it’s ‘her,’ dude.

– Lol, that sounds like a bad move.

– Yeah, looks like a bad move. See ya.

Naturally, SCV’s choice wasn’t too popular among the viewers.

That’s understandable, as traditionally LCKR fans despise repeating picks that resulted in losses—a concept known as “Uttl.”

In fact, it was a bad omen, as losing once indicated that the strengths of the combination didn’t shine through and the weaknesses had been exposed.

But to make the same choice again?

It’s hard to perceive that positively without a good amount of confidence.

Anyways, the ban/pick began, with the first pick from OLZ starting the banning.

[Wukong]

“Oh, they’re doing exactly what they did in Set 1.”

“Since OLZ won, it’s true they have no reason to change things up.”

“Indeed. In a way, they’re taking on the role of the exam setter, right?”

“Exactly. Now, how will SCV respond to OLZ’s questions?”

[Lee Sin]

“Oh, there we go.”

“Outlaw’s Lee Sin was indeed fierce, huh? His super plays completely disrupted SCV’s plans.”

“Yes. Thanks to Lee Sin’s super plays, Pizhu, who was struggling, found a way to grow.”

“Now, how will OLZ respond to this…?”

– Lol.

– They did well to ban that.

– Good.

– That was a smart choice.

– Outlaw’s Lee Sin was definitely insane; glad they banned him.

– Huh…

– But could they have blocked with the ban/pick? Even if they ban Lee Sin, there are still other options.

As the chat continued, it was time for OLZ’s banning round.

[Nikon]

“Wouldn’t this be just like Set 1?”

“Yeah. If this is the case, OLZ probably has no reason to change the winning pattern.”

“Oh, aren’t they just sticking to the script? That’s what OLZ is saying.”

“Seems like both teams are in a bit of a pride battle, huh?”

And the bans were completed.

[OLZ / SCV]

Wukong / Lee Sin

Nikon / Viego

Rakan / Wukong

“Hmm, there’s not much difference between the two teams’ bans compared to Set 1, is there?”

“Right. The SCV ban switched from Orianna to Lee Sin, but aside from that, there’s nothing new.”

“Set 1 was affected by Outlaw’s Lee Sin, wasn’t it? It seems they believe so.”

“But many agree that Outlaw can’t be blocked by just ban/pick… Let’s see how it plays out.”

“It’s quite something to see a rookie who just debuted get such high praise… it really shows how amazing Outlaw is.”

“Superstar, no doubt.”

“Haha, exactly.”

“What’s crucial now is how SCV will show their changes… but the bans themselves are pretty much the same.”

[Kalista]

“Oh… OLZ picked Kalista.”

“Since she’s available, there’s no reason not to pick her, right? It’s just like Set 1.”

[Vayne]

“Oh, they picked Vayne.”

“During Set 1, Jarvan struggled against champions like Kalista and Pizhu. Seems they took that into account.”

“So what’s SCV’s second pick going to be…?”

Then, as soon as they saw SCV’s second pick, the commentators gasped in shock.

“Huh?”

“Wait—?”

“No way, they picked…?”

The chat began to stir as well.

– ???

– What is this?

– No way.

– That’s a bad pick.

– Lol, that’s basically a national disgrace.

It’s no wonder the commentators and the chat had such reactions.

SCV’s pick was, in fact, the same as the one they lost with in the previous match.

[Sandra]

“Are they seriously picking Sandra? SCV!”

“It seems they’re saying we weren’t wrong. Just a little hiccup at the start; if Pizhu can do it again, then let’s try again, right?”

“Exactly! But even SCV, picking a champion they lost with before is pretty bold.”

“Sometimes it feels like AllDay is telling Getback, ‘You rely too much on the jungle.’”

“Hahaha!”

“And if they lose again, oh, the feedback they’ll get…”

“Haha! That’s only if they lose, though, and SCV is surely not thinking about losing! Neither is OLZ!”

And then everyone’s focus turned to OLZ’s 2nd and 3rd pick.

[Pizhu]

Soon, as if it were a queue, the champion’s portrait appeared in OLZ’s pick window, causing excitement among the commentators.

“Pizhu is coming out! Pizhu from Getback absolutely hard-carried in Set 1!”

“Wait, are you picking Sandra again? OLZ is shouting just that right now!”

“Exactly! After being completely dominated in the last match, how could OLZ feel okay picking the same champion against Sandra?”

“Right! If you pull the same thing after losing, who wouldn’t feel disrespected?”

“Regardless, SCV’s picks aren’t completely the same as Set 1, so we’ll have to see how it goes.”

– It’s a Mid Lane showdown, lol.

– The losing side will really be annihilated.

– True, lol.

– But since Lee Sin was OP in Set 1, can Jarvan pull it off this time?

– Sandra is pretty slow, so who knows.

Amid all the expectations and anxieties…

The ban/pick was finally completed.

[OLZ / SCV]
