Twin Cities: observer system

Chapter 2: Okay, okay

deep in the sewers of Zaun.

Lin Wen Zheng lowered the brim of his hat with his hands, lowered his head, and walked hunched over on the street.

In the sewers of Zaun, haze was always around him. In the past, Lin Wen would feel his lungs were burning even when he breathed, and the strong foreign body sensation was very disgusting.

But now he can actually tolerate the haze entering his body.

It shows how strong people's adaptability is. Now, the visibility is very low, only about five meters, but this is not a problem for Lin Wen who has lived here for five years. Ten minutes later, Lin Wen walked to a tavern called Fugen and stretched out his hand to push open the door of the tavern.

He took off his hat before entering the door. After the people who were shocked by his sudden entry into the tavern saw his face, they silently withdrew their gazes and continued drinking happily.

"Lin Wen, this way."

At the bar not far away, a man as muscular as a bear put down his glass and waved at Lin Wen.

Lin Wen walked up and sat on the stool in front of the bar. A young man with strange tattoos on his face and a Mohawk haircut saw this. After Vander nodded, he nodded respectfully to Lin Wen, then picked up the wine glass and walked aside.

"When you came here this time, Old Zhuolang should have scolded you again, right?"

"Of course, after all, he has become stupid from breathing in the smog. You know, Vander, that smog is poisonous. If you breathe in too much, not only will you become stupid, but your temper will also become worse and worse."

The person in front of him smiled gently and nodded, then lowered his head and looked for something while speaking, "Still the same as before?"

"Yes, after all, I'm only fifteen years old, so forget about the alcohol." Lin Wen nodded.

"Hey, kid, you should know that Wei started drinking when she was ten years old. Of course, she doesn't really drink, but she saw us adults drinking all the time, so she probably thought drinking was a sign of adulthood. But she only took a sip and spat it out."

"You have told me this story no less than seven times."

Vander shrugged indifferently and said, "When we get old, we just like to repeat the same things." He bent down, took out a bottle, opened it, and poured out the juice for making cocktails.

"Vander, what do you want from me?"

Lin Wen took the cup handed to him by Fandel and took small sips.

Vander looked around, put away his smile, and leaned his hands on the bar. He looked down at Lin Wen and whispered, "There are two things."

"Tell me, I'll think about it."

Lin Wen narrowed his eyes. Seeing Vander's expression, Lin Wen knew that this was a serious matter

. Something that could make the controller of the Black Alley so vigilant must not be a trivial matter.

The actual controller of Zaan is the middle-aged man in front of him who looks somewhat gentle.

Lin Wen was very troubled by this.

He remembered. There was no such person in the original background story, right?

"First thing, Lin Wen, just now my people handed over the news that an explosion occurred in the noble district of the upper city. The explosion destroyed a room and caused turmoil in the entire building. Although the specific cause of the explosion has not been discovered yet, the surrounding residents have been forced to move out of the vicinity."

Lin Wen nodded.

"The criminals who caused the explosion are four children, two boys and two girls." Vander said in a low voice.

Lin Wen paused with his cup in hand, and looked at Vander with a headache. The latter also looked at him with a worried look. Lin Wen sighed and said, "Okay, I already know who they are."

"So what's the second thing you want to say?"

Vander straightened up and said in a complicated manner: "Of course I want you to help me watch them. They rely on you a lot, so they will definitely come to you first if something happens." Vander said this, still a little frustrated.

Compared to his adoptive father, is Lin Wen, his brother, more trustworthy?

But this matter is not important now.

Fandel continued, "Someone in the upper city is in trouble, and it happened to a big family. Lin Wen, with your intelligence, you certainly know what will happen next."

"Someone's dead?"

"A building was destroyed, what do you say?"

"This is a bit difficult. Father Vander, you can't even solve this problem, and you want me to solve it?" Lin Wen looked at Vander with a headache.

"I'm just a fifteen-year-old."

"Enough. It's okay for you to say this to Old Zhuolang, but you still say this in front of me? Besides, do you really think that Old Zhuolang doesn't know about you? He is just pretending not to know on purpose." Vander rolled his eyes at Lin Wen.

"Anyway, Wei and the others are now in your care." Fandel said without question, and took out a bag. He opened it, and found a large pile of silver coins inside. He handed it to Lin Wen and said, "This is your reward."

Lin Wen's eyes lit up, he took the bag of silver coins and nodded to Vander.

"Okay, I understand."

"Then there's nothing else?"

"No, now look at the time, they will be back soon."

Lin Wen nodded and drank the juice in the cup in one gulp. "I'll go pick them up now."

"Um."

"But Fandel, how are you going to deal with the law enforcer?"

Fandel was silent for a moment, then waved his hand, "Don't worry, I'll take care of it."

Lin Wen said nothing more, stood up and walked out of the pub.

Soon, Lin Wen disappeared in the haze.

_________

"Damn it, damn it, damn it!"

"Baobao, look at what you have done. How could you. How could you!"

Next to the smelly ditch, four children, one fat, one thin, one tall, and one short, fell on a pile of garbage.

The thin boy spat out the contents of his mouth, wiped his mouth, and said angrily: "I told you not to take her with you, but you didn't listen. Look, it exploded, it actually exploded! We almost died!"

"It's not my problem, I didn't do anything!"

Along with the skinny monkey's angry accusation, the blue-haired little girl on the side said dissatisfiedly.

"You didn't do anything? If it wasn't because of you, how could it explode? It was an explosion! Damn it, the law enforcement officer will definitely find you, and then you..."

"Enough, Milo!" the girl walking in front suddenly shouted.

"Yes, Milo, at least we have a good harvest this time." The tall and fat young man at the side hesitated for a moment and spoke out.

When Shouhou saw the attitudes of the two, he immediately lost his temper and said helplessly, "Forget it, Craig, Wei, just pamper Baobao."

"Lie!" The little girl called Baobao hid behind the tall girl, showing her cute face and making faces.

"you!"

"Mello!"

"Okay, okay, I won't say anything, okay?" Milo raised his hands and snorted.

"Wei, where are we going now?" Craig looked at Wei, "Are we going back to Vander?"

"No, since we made such a big noise in the upper city, Fandel will definitely blame us." The pink-haired girl sniffed and said, "Let's go to Lin Wen's place."

Craig nodded, and on the side, the skinny Milo also nodded.

"Wei, are we going to look for Brother Lin Wen?"

At the side of his legs, Baobao looked up at Wei and said excitedly.

"Of course." Wei said with a smile, "If anything goes wrong, Lin Wen will help us sort it out."

The group immediately took action and headed underground.

"But Wei, we always trouble Brother Lin Wen like this," Craig suddenly said on the way.

Wei knew what Craig wanted to say, so she shrugged and said with a smile, "He won't think we are troublesome."

"That's right, Craig, you guy, we are family!"

Milo yelled again.

"I just think, just."

Craig wanted to explain, but Wei suddenly raised his hand and looked ahead vigilantly.

"Hey, who is this? Isn't this the famous Violet from our Fugen Tavern?"

Five people appeared in front, one of them had yellow hair and was standing there looking at Wei.

"I just received news that there seems to have been an explosion in the upper city?"

"Well, I've heard that, and that's all you're going to tell me?"

Wei and Craig walked over, and Wei spread out her hands and said indifferently.

But when they got close, Huangmao reached out to stop them. He said, "Do you know anything? I heard that the explosion was caused by four children. Hey, why are there four of you?"

"What exactly do you want to say?" Wei stopped and looked at him straight.

"Nothing, I just saw that you guys have made a good harvest. If you are willing to..."

Wei remained expressionless when hearing this, but she put her hands behind her back and gestured to Craig and Milo behind her.

Craig and Milo nodded, and Baobao stopped pestering Wei and took the thing from Craig's hand. It was a big package filled with the results of their crime.

Wei clenched her fists, Craig and Milo also prepared to attack, and the three were ready to fight, but soon, Wei in the front loosened his hands and grinned.

"What are you laughing at?"

Huangmao was a little confused, but he only saw Wei raising her hand and waving behind him, and she shouted with a smile on her face: "Why are you here? Did Fandel ask you to come?"

The yellow-haired man turned around immediately, but just as he turned around, his whole body bent like a shrimp and flew backwards.

The moment he flew out, he vaguely saw his companions lying on the ground, rolling their eyes and foaming at the mouth.

He also saw the attire of the person who kicked him away before he fainted. He was a man wearing a white linen robe with a hat covering his face. He was not tall and looked a little thin.

When the man lowered his hat, he turned out to be a handsome young man.

"You four guys."

Lin Wen looked at Baobao who ran up with a roar, and then looked at Craig and Milo who were looking at him excitedly. The thoughts of these people who had been taught a lesson earlier also disappeared.

Forget about

why they would do this. Looking at Wei in front of him, Lin Wen could probably guess it.

"Come with me."

Lin Wen reached out and picked up Baobao who was running in front of him, then turned around and took a step forward.

Wei also ran over immediately and followed closely behind Lin Wen.

Milo patted Craig on the shoulder and said to him, "Look, you still think that Brother Lin Wen would find us troublesome. You, apologize to Brother Lin Wen."

"I didn't, I just think we shouldn't always trouble Brother Lin Wen like this."

Soon, the five people disappeared at the sewer entrance.
