Chapter 15: Yellow, Red and Orange Chakra
Slowly, the yellow chakra began to circulate in an unusual pattern, its flow radiating through root-like pathways connected to every part of his body.
Leon's form was soon engulfed in a radiant yellow glow, and, as if responding to some unseen force, his body gradually lifted off the ground.
"Strange," he murmured, narrowing his eyes.
The sensation was unfamiliar—his nerves tingled as if electrified, and a surge of power coursed through him. It felt alien yet exhilarating.
Without hesitation, Leon willed the flow to stop. The light around him dimmed as the light settled down but he was still floating.
"Let's tap into the energy stored at the base of my spine—the Red chakra."
Fixing his gaze on the weathered wooden floor, he raised a hand with deliberate focus.
From the ground, a tiny sphere of soil emerged, spinning as it rose into the air. It hovered just before his eyes, solid and glimmering faintly in its earthen glory.
Leon was about to tighten his fist, but before he could, the red chakra within him abruptly dissipated. His body lost its support, and he tumbled to the ground, narrowly avoiding a face-first collision with the floor.
To add insult to injury, the soil ball plummeted straight into his hair, scattering loose dirt across his head.
"..."
"Leon, are you alright?" his mother's concerned voice called out from outside.
"I'm fine, Mom!" Leon shouted back, pushing himself up on his arms, his tone carrying equal parts reassurance and embarrassment.
Brushing dirt from his hair, he muttered under his breath, "I guess the Red Chakra isn't enough just yet... but at least I know how to use it now."
He tilted his chin upward, deep in thought. Does this mean I've become a Sage?
From what the instructor had explained, Sages were those who could wield chakra. While Leon wasn't entirely sure what chakra was supposed to be, he pieced together what he could from observation.
Both the King and the instructor cultivated something they called Natural Energy, still it felt undeniably weaker than the vibrant yellow energy coursing through him.
This feeling wasn't unfamiliar, he has also sensed it from father, mother and his uncle.
"Hmm, should I really cultivate the Warrior Heart as well?"
Leon casually shrugged. He hadn't even met the requirement for establishing the Warrior Heart, so it would be a problem for the future. For now, he would focus on accumulating the yellow chakra by breaking through his limits, as well as the red and orange chakras.
These two were also very special: the red chakra was gained through his Earth Rune, while the orange chakra came from his Creative Rune. Unfortunately, for some reason, he couldn't access the orange chakra as the red and yellow chakras.
He sat cross-legged again, meditating to gather Red Chakra. Afterward, he rested while enjoying the night view and accumulating orange chakra.
Following that, he performed some exercises, which allowed him to generate more yellow chakra and swiftly store it in the inner core of his crystal.
The next day, Leon walked into the school once more.
It was a boring day with nothing happening. Leon had to study, which he found dull—not because it was too complex, but because it was far too easy for his adult brain. Math, in particular, was simply a breeze.
The teacher came in and started teaching as usual, but he kept casting glances at Leon from time to time.
Of course, Leon noticed it right away, which left him a little confused. Still, he didn't dwell on it too much.
When the class ended and everyone began leaving, the teacher called out to him.
"Leon, wait here."
"Alright," Leon replied, staying behind. As he watched the others file out, he felt a slight nervousness settle in his chest.
Once the room was empty, the teacher approached him. His cold expression slowly softened into a smile.
"Leon, did you actually read and understand all the content in the Method that the instructor gave you?"
"Interesting," Leon thought to himself. 'I thought he'd lash out or something, but he seems eager to reward me instead. But is he…'
"Yes," Leon replied nonchalantly.
"Good. Solve this, then," the teacher said, pulling out a sheet of paper and handing it to him.
'Knew it,' Leon thought with a chuckle. He already had a faint understanding of the teacher's personality. This man might never offer praise, even if the world were ending.
Leon glanced at the paper and immediately started writing. The questions were relatively easy from his perspective.
"I have to give them credit, though. In my previous world, these would have been high school-level questions," Leon muttered in his heart.
Effortlessly completing the problems, he handed the paper back to his teacher.
"Hmm?" The teacher glanced at the paper and raised an eyebrow. "Do you want to be a scholar, Leon?"
"A scholar?" Leon froze, caught off guard.
"Yes, a scholar. You're one of those rare geniuses with extraordinary comprehension. Even though you've read and understood the entire book on establishing the Warrior Heart, it remains an extraordinarily difficult task, with rigorous requirements." The teacher paused, his expression softening slightly.
"If you choose to become a scholar, you will lead a peaceful and fulfilling life. You might even have the chance to become the King's strategist. So, what do you say? Are you willing?"
Leon thought for a moment. "I…"
…
Leon stepped out of the school and was greeted by a chubby kid and a golden-haired tomboy.
"What are you guys doing?" he asked, frowning slightly.
"We were waiting for you. What do you mean, 'what are we doing here?'" Tina replied with a cheeky smile.
Leon shook his head, but the corner of his lips curled into a faint, warm smile as he walked ahead. The two exchanged a glance and giggled before promptly following him.
After that, Leon's life became relatively simple. He woke up early each morning and engaged in physical exercise.
As he was finishing one of his routines, he suddenly noticed his father in the corner of his vision. His father was carrying large wooden logs, an axe in hand, his imposing figure exuding strength with every step.
As Leon saw his father, the man noticed him as well and attempted a warm smile. However, the smile looked slightly out of place on his rugged, rigid face.
Leon smiled in return, a faint tear trickling down his cheek. His father in his previous life had passed away before Leon had even gotten the chance to see his face properly.
Although there had been some misunderstandings surrounding his birth, Leon understood the importance of family. He would go to any extent to protect them.
One needs to not have a family, to understand the true value of family!
