Tyrant Emperor

Chapter 5: Creative Rune, Royal Family!?

Noah sat back down to meditate again, his expression calm and cold, his mind completely focused on his own breath.

But he still couldn't reach a state where he could wipe out all distracting thoughts; there was something in his heart that was obstructing him.

"What went wrong?" he slowly opened his eyes, revealing his pupils, and thought with a questioning heart.

There was something, something that he couldn't pinpoint, disturbing his meditation.

Nowadays, only when he meditated could the heat from the base of his spine spark again and seep into his whole body.

"Hmm."

After a long period of failure, Noah's meditation finally came to an end. He stood up and left the house, taking a moment to breathe deeply, the air rich with the scents of earth and crops, grounding him before stepping outside.

Farmers toiled in their fields, backs bent under the soft sun, while children's laughter rang through the muddy paths along the roads and fences.

He closed his eyes, feeling the gentle warmth of the wind brush past him.

"What a nice day," he mumbled, inhaling deeply.

As his gaze drifted toward the farm, an orange bubble slowly materialised before his eyes.

"Hmm, this is new." Until now, all Noah had seen were red bubbles and the black flicker of light; he had never encountered this orange bubble before.

Curiosity piqued, he reached out to touch it. He knew one thing: these bubbles didn't seem to harm him. Instead, his body felt a deep longing for it, a desire that welled up within him.

The moment he touched it, he felt as if he had been electrocuted, and warmth flowed through his entire brain.

"Ho."

He drew a deep, hot breath, heaving a sigh of relief. The warmth lingered in his brain for a long time before it began to descend…

Noah looked down with a strange frown on his face, his expression speechless; the warmth was circulating in his pp!

It lasted for another ten minutes before it finally subsided.

[Congratulations! Sage Candidate, you have uncovered your second rune: [Creative].]

Leon's eyes widened to the limits, as the black flicker of light appeared right in front of his eyes in full glory.

Before he could process things, it disappeared as soon as it appeared, vanishing into the depth of his existence.

Until now, Leon still hasn't found how to see these things, he has tried every "buzz" word in existence and every method from killing to doing everything but this system is really non-existence.

"That was weird."

After the encounter, Noah found it easier to meditate. The warmth from the bubble seemed to stay with him, calming his restless mind.

Usually, he was able to meditate for fifteen minutes, but as time passed, he was gradually able to meditate for thirty minutes, showing steady improvement.

Whenever he faced difficulties, he would usually go out alone, sitting and enjoying nature until he could finally see the orange bubble and touch it, feeling warmth flow in his brain and pp.

Noah soon turned five years old. But he was actually bigger than most nine-year-olds, his chubby baby fat replaced with a lean, strong physique. Looking at himself in the mirror, he couldn't help but feel satisfied.

"Maybe it's because of my genes or…" he paused in thought, "because of the warm energy I get from the orange and red bubbles."

As he adjusted the collar of his woollen clothes, he finally understood this world over the years…

"I have reincarnated into a world filled with ghosts and demons," he muttered bitterly. "There are also Exorcists and Warriors in this world who specialise in hunting them."

He was particularly interested in the Exorcists; after all, the Warriors were just big, jacked, bulky dudes, while the Exorcists sounded magical as per his understanding.

"Maybe they also wield magic," he thought, excitement bubbling within him.

Magic had always been his childhood dream. Oh, how he longed to make his mother happy by using magic to prepare meals for her, to see her smile just once in his life.

"Mother…" His excitement dimmed, and two red bubbles flickered into view before him. He turned his gaze to the ground, a shudder ran through him as he bit his lip, trying to hold back the surge of emotion. Warm tears slipped silently down his cheeks.

The red bubbles multiplied, reaching four, then eight, then sixteen.

"Sigh." He forced a smile that barely reached his eyes, his lips pressing together a bit too tightly to look natural.

Then he walked out of the room with this forced smile—after all, today was his fifth birthday.

"Son." His mother approached, her eyes softened. 'Sweetheart, I noticed you seemed a little down. Did something happen?'

"No, Mother." Noah shook his head and silently sat in his seat, wordlessly.

Seeing Noah's sombre mood, everyone else fell silent as well.

At that moment, he felt a pat on his shoulder that nearly dislocated his arm.

"Hey, kid, don't be such a weakling! Cheer up! It's your birthday, and you should enjoy it, right, Leon Finn?" His uncle chuckled.

"Yes, Uncle." He managed a smile for his uncle while casually shrugging his shoulders; for some reason, he didn't feel much pain.

"Uncle, did you give Noah another name?" His mother immediately frowned.

"Well, sis, don't you think 'Noah' sounds a bit soft for our little warrior here? How about we give him a name that sounds stronger? He's destined for greatness, after all!"

"Hmm?" She paused, squinting her gaze at him.

The uncle broke into a sweat, nervously glancing between her and Noah. "Let's ask him; it will be his choice, won't it?"

Everyone's attention turned to Noah, who was enjoying his cake at the same time.

"I…" He actually liked the name Leon Finn, so he honestly said, "I want to be called Leon Finn."

"That's it, then." His uncle grinned, leaving his mother speechless. As for his father, he still wore a sulking expression and didn't speak much.

Leon's birthday was similar to his previous four, with his uncle, father, mother, and the nanny present. They always celebrated by cutting a birthday cake and enjoying dishes like sheep meat, chicken, and much more.

After the hearty meal, his uncle called him again:

"Leon, you're old enough now; let's go to the royal palace."

Leon paused in place, his eyes wide. "Royal palace!?"

"Is it finally time to tell him?" His uncle glanced at his mother, who wore an indifferent expression, and quickly continued, "Your grandfather was the bodyguard of the previous king, and your mom's older brother is the current king. So, you could be considered a grandson of the current king."
