Uchiha's God of Muscle

Chapter 257: Eight Years Later

On the day of Dan and Samui's grand wedding,

The entire village of Konoha was abuzz with celebration. Villagers reveled in the festivities and enjoyed their day off, seemingly filled with happiness.

Except for Danzo.

"Tsk tsk, what a pitiful sight."

Kabuto leaned against the wall in a deserted alley, observing Danzo, who lay sleeping on the ground. Danzo's clothes were tattered and covered in filth, resembling a deranged madman.

No, he didn't just resemble one; he truly was.

Who would have thought that the once-powerful Fifth Hokage would fall to such a miserable state? It was truly lamentable.

Danzo was Kabuto's enemy.

This old man had used the most important woman in Kabuto's life—Nonou Yakushi—as leverage to force Kabuto into the Foundation and make him gather intelligence as a spy.

Later, Danzo intentionally set up a situation in which Kabuto would kill Nonou and sent Orochimaru to silence him.

Kabuto had long wanted to avenge Nonou, feeling that even killing Danzo ten times wouldn't quench his anger.

However,

Kabuto abandoned his revenge plan after seeing what Dan had done to Danzo.

He greatly approved of the Sixth Hokage's approach.

For someone like Danzo, death would be too easy. Only by living in torment, experiencing all earthly suffering, and dying in utter misery would true justice be served.

This was truly satisfying.

So, every now and then, Kabuto would visit Danzo to enjoy the sight of his madness, finding immense satisfaction and relief.

After a while,

Kabuto grew bored, yawned, and began to walk away.

But he had only taken a few steps when he heard Danzo's voice behind him:

"Who are you, sneaking around here? Don't you know to kneel before the Hokage?"

Kabuto turned back to see that Danzo had woken up and was looking at him sternly.

"Greetings, Hokage-sama," Kabuto said with a smirk, his tone dripping with sarcasm and mockery.

But Danzo didn't seem to notice; instead, he appeared quite pleased.

He then frowned and asked Kabuto:

"What's going on outside? Why is it so noisy? I toil day and night for Konoha, can't even get a peaceful sleep?"

"It's the Sixth Hokage's wedding," Kabuto said, staring at Danzo.

Danzo froze, his frown deepening, and he angrily retorted, "Nonsense! I am the Hokage of Konoha. How can there be a new Hokage? What's his name?"

"Uchiha Dan," Kabuto replied.

"Uchiha... Dan?"

Danzo repeated the name, his face showing confusion. He murmured, "He is Hokage, then who am I? Who am I... Ah!"

He clutched his head in agony, letting out a beast-like roar.

His mental state was worsening, beyond salvation.

Seeing this, Kabuto shook his head.

Danzo, who had held a high position in Konoha for decades, knew countless secrets. Even Orochimaru had once served under him as a guard.

Despite Danzo being his enemy, if Orochimaru ordered Kabuto to secretly take Danzo out of Konoha, restore his sanity, and then join forces against Konoha and the Uchiha,

Kabuto would obey.

But now, it seemed Danzo could never return to normal.

With this realization, Kabuto ignored Danzo and walked away.

"Don't go!"

Danzo scrambled after him, grabbed Kabuto, and shouted, "Tell me, who am I? Who am I?"

"Let go of me."

Kabuto said coldly, his face expressionless.

But the deranged Danzo didn't understand, continuing to shout and grab at Kabuto.

"Enough!"

Kabuto finally lost his patience.

In the next second,

With a *thud*,

A kunai pierced Danzo's chest, the blade sticking out from his back, covered in blood.

The alley fell silent, only the sound of blood dripping from the kunai breaking the quiet.

"I... I remember now. I am Shimura Danzo... the Fifth Hokage of Konoha. It was Uchiha Dan... who did this to me."

Danzo murmured, clarity returning to his eyes in his final moments, remembering everything.

He had been thoroughly deceived by Uchiha Dan.

Completely.

He lost everything—reputation, power, even his dignity, becoming a laughingstock for everyone, a clown for people to see.

With these thoughts, a mix of unwillingness, hatred, pain, and anger crossed Danzo's face, but finally, it all turned into a bitter, self-mocking smile.

He then looked down at the kunai in his chest, then up at the bespectacled young man before him, asking:

"Did Uchiha Dan send you to kill me? No, you, you are... Kabuto?"

"Do you remember me, Danzo? This is for Nonou-sama. Reflect on your sins in the afterlife."

Kabuto sneered, pulling the kunai out forcefully.

Danzo fell backward, collapsing to the ground. After a few twitches, he was motionless.

Blood flowed from Danzo, staining the ground beneath him.

He died like a stray dog in this desolate alley, his eyes reflecting the clear blue sky above.

Danzo once thought the sky was within reach, but realized it was all an illusion.

In reality, he had always been trapped in this alley.

"Nonou-sensei, I've avenged you."

Kabuto glanced at Danzo's body, then looked up at the sky, murmuring to himself.

...

Time passed.

Days turned into months, months into years.

In the second year after the Uchiha returned to Konoha, trouble brewed in the ninja world.

The conflict started over territorial disputes.

After the Land of Rain was defeated, its territory was divided between the Lands of Earth and Wind, with Amegakure under the joint control of Sunagakure and Iwagakure.

But over time, the stronger Iwagakure became dissatisfied, using various means to encroach on Sunagakure's portion of Amegakure.

Naturally, Sunagakure resisted.

Soon, conflicts erupted, resulting in casualties and escalating into a localized war.

The nations behind the two villages, the Lands of Earth and Wind, also got involved, turning Amegakure into a battlefield, and causing widespread suffering.

At first, the two villages exercised restraint, fearing that Konoha and the Uchiha might exploit the chaos.

But Konoha remained steadfastly neutral, saying nothing from beginning to end, as if oblivious to the conflict.

Finally, the two sides fought fiercely, with Iwagakure emerging victorious.

Shortly after,

Kumogakure followed suit, seizing several islands in the Land of Water, and controlling key sea routes.

Kirigakure protested and, under the Fifth Mizukage's leadership, organized a counterattack.

From then on, the ninja world was in constant turmoil.

As Kakashi predicted, the great nations would always be at odds over territory and other interests, unable to achieve lasting peace.

Meanwhile, Konoha, isolated from the chaos, became a utopia.

With excellent security, a prosperous economy, and advanced technology, it became a place of aspiration, a second spiritual home for many.

Wealthy and powerful individuals from other nations sent their families and children to live, study, and enjoy life in Konoha, even acquiring Konoha citizenship for permanent residence.

Talent and money from across the ninja world flowed continuously into Konoha, fueling its development and attracting even more resources.

This process, like a snowball, accelerated Konoha's growth.

...

Unnoticed,

Eight years passed swiftly.

A spring breeze swept through the ninja world in the blink of an eye. It was now Konoha Year 64.

Today was a clear day with high skies and few clouds.

From above, the inner ring of Konoha was the old city, housing the Hokage Mansion, Ninja Academy, Konoha Hospital, Anbu Headquarters, and Police Department.

The outer ring was the new city, filled with modern skyscrapers, with trams speeding along tracks, and even an airport, with airships flying overhead.

The streets were bustling with people, like ants. Konoha's population has exploded over the past decade.

From a few hundred thousand to nearly three million.

Konoha was no longer a small village but had transformed into a metropolis, with a thriving economy and culture.

However,

Behind this prosperity lurked hidden dangers.

Spies from various ninja villages and enemies of the Uchiha clan lurked in the shadows, waiting for the right moment.

After eight years of hiding, they were becoming restless, and starting to make their moves.

On the outskirts of Konoha,

A vast forest lies there, designated by the Konoha Forestry Department as a protected natural forest under strict legal protection.

The trees in this reserve were centuries old, towering and blocking out the sun.

Deep within the forest, inside a giant tree that required several people to encircle,

A man and a woman spoke.

"What are you planning to do?"

"Before we act, I want to see for myself. I hear Uchiha Dan's neutral stance is a ploy to gather talent and resources from the ninja world, draining other villages dry while ignoring the ongoing wars.

This peace is Konoha's peace, not the ninja world's peace."

The woman remained silent for a moment, then asked,

"Should we contact Karin? Have her join you?"

The man shook his head:

"No need.

Karin has worked as

a spy in Konoha for years, finally becoming Tsunade's disciple and earning her trust. If she's seen with me, it would raise Konoha's suspicions, wasting her efforts.

I'll go alone. This time, it's just a casual visit."

The woman nodded:

"I understand. The sacrifice is ready. Begin."

These two were none other than Konan and Naruto of the Akatsuki.

Naruto turned to look at a Konoha jonin, bound and glaring at them.

"Who are you, and what are you planning against Konoha? I warn you, release me immediately!"

The Jonin shouted, though his voice trembled slightly.

"You don't need to know who I am because you're about to die."

Naruto said calmly, forming hand seals.

"What... what did you do to me... Ah!"

The Jonin screamed, his appearance changing until he became another Naruto.

Gedo Art of Rinne Rebirth.

This was one of Rinnegan's abilities.

It projected the caster's ocular power onto a living sacrifice, creating a perfect "identical body," essentially a clone of Naruto.

Unlike ordinary shadow clones,

The Gedo Rebirth Clone was flesh and blood, identical in appearance to Naruto.

Additionally, the clone inherited Naruto's jutsu and abilities, and even replicated his weapons and ninja tools perfectly, making it a flawless clone.

Its only weakness was that when the sacrifice's chakra was exhausted, the jutsu would end, and the sacrifice would die.

"This sacrifice... barely adequate, can handle about thirty percent of my chakra. Unless facing Uchiha Dan, it should be fine."

Naruto's clone spoke, sounding exactly like him.

In the past eight years,

Naruto underwent grueling training, fully mastering the Rinnegan's power, and becoming even stronger than Nagato.

After all, Nagato's crippled legs confined him to a wheelchair, relying on the Six Paths of Pain to fight. Over time, his body weakened.

But Naruto,

He united the Six Paths' power within himself and trained his body to peak condition, unaffected by the Rinnegan's strain.

He even reached an understanding with the Nine-Tails, becoming a perfect Jinchuriki.

According to Konan,

Naruto was now the strongest ninja in history, surpassing even the legendary Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara.

And Dan, too.

Naruto's clone soon left the tree, heading toward Konoha.

His true body sat down, closing his eyes.

The Gedo Rebirth Clone could be controlled remotely through the caster's will, providing safe and distant control.

Naruto didn't need to be on the battlefield, guiding his clone from afar without risk.

Swish.

Konan formed a hand seal, sealing the tree around them, protecting her and Naruto.

She silently stayed by Naruto's side, looking at his face, lost in thought.

Nine years had passed.

Nine years ago, she and Nagato came to Konoha, in a similar scene. Nagato entrusted his Rinnegan and Naruto to her before Uchiha Dan killed him.

But this time,

Konan was determined never to let that happen again.

She would protect Naruto, even at the cost of her life, helping him achieve Akatsuki's dream, also Yahiko and Nagato's dream—

To bring true peace and justice to the ninja world.
