Veil of Sparks

Chapter : Umbral Data

Low-Tier Shadows

1. Wraithlings:

- Appearance: Small, fast-moving shadows with jagged, insect-like forms. Their glowing red eyes and erratic movements make them hard to predict.

- Traits: Fragile and easy to destroy individually.Often attack in swarms, overwhelming opponents through sheer numbers.

- Weaknesses: Vulnerable to direct attacks, especially those that channel Core Threads or Sparks.

Mid-Tier Shadows

2. Drones:

- Appearance: Larger, lumbering creatures with thick, armor-like outer shells of condensed darkness.

- Traits: Slower but heavily resistant to basic attacks.Often target defenses or structures, such as barriers or Nexuses.

- Weaknesses: Legs or exposed cores are vulnerable. They can also be disoriented by bursts of Resonant Thread energy.

3. Specters:

- Appearance: Wispy, ghost-like shadows with elongated limbs and faintly glowing centers.

- Traits: Specialize in stealth, appearing and disappearing unpredictably. Focus on ambushing isolated targets or disrupting formations.

- Weaknesses: Vulnerable to wide-area attacks or sustained light-based Sparks.

High-Tier Shadows

4. Shades:

- Appearance: Towering creatures of jagged, shifting darkness with humanoid proportions but exaggerated limbs and glowing red eyes. Their cores pulse faintly, hinting at their unstable nature.

- Traits: Intelligent and capable of adapting to enemy tactics. Highly durable, with shifting forms that make them resistant to weaker attacks. Strong physical attacks, capable of breaking through defensive lines.

- Weaknesses: They can be destabilized by disrupting the Thread flow near their cores. Coordinated attacks are essential to defeating them.

5. Umbral Titans (Rare):

- Appearance: Massive, hulking shadows that tower over any battlefield. Their forms are semi-solid, and they emit a constant aura of corruption.

- Traits: Command smaller shadows, acting as leaders during large-scale incursions. Capable of destabilizing areas of the Grid through their presence alone.

- Weaknesses: Titans require multiple Vanguards working together to exploit their slow movements and exposed weak points.
