Chapter 3: Excited
Author's Point of View
Amanda's face lit up as she watched the guards carry Cynthia's lifeless, bloody body out of the room. A deep satisfaction settled within her. She was going to become rich; she was going to become the boss and have a lot of wealth.
"I'm so excited, Victor. Cynthia is gone, and we are going to take over her company. We will give our baby the best life ever," Amanda said, her eyes twinkling with delight. The absence of Cynthia between her and Victor thrilled her; she just wanted to settle down with the man she loved.
Victor forced a smile as he looked at Amanda, who was hugging him, an unknown void echoing within him. Was killing Cynthia a wise decision? She was an innocent lady, calm, understanding, and loving. She treated him with a level of courtesy he had never encountered before. There was something he loved about her; her presence brought him calmness.
Did he regret killing her? Did he fall in love with her? No, he loved only Amanda. He shouldn't be thinking about Cynthia. If the bullet hit her heart, she would be dead by now, and he was going to enjoy all the money.
"Baby, where are you lost?" Amanda asked, confusion etching on her face.
Victor sighed, running his hands through Amanda's hair. "Now that Cynthia is dead, what will happen to her sister? Eventually, she will ask questions about her sister," Victor whispered. He walked over to the bed and sat down with Amanda on his lap. The room was now cleaned with Cynthia out.
An evil smirk stretched on Amanda's lips. "Don't worry, tomorrow I will bake my famous delicious cake. I'm very sure she will enjoy it so much," Amanda said, causing Victor's eyebrows to knit together.
"What do you mean?" Victor questioned, puzzled by what she had just said.
"I will just add some rat poison to the cake and feed it to her, and she will die, and our problems will be over," Amanda said, causing Victor to drift off in thought once again. He didn't want to kill any of them, but he did it for his child. Now that he had killed Cynthia, would it be alright to kill her sister too? Everything felt so wrong to him.
"Don't you worry about any of this? I will deal with everything; you just focus on getting started at the office," Amanda said, a smile on her lips. She just couldn't contain her happiness.
"Do what you feel is right. Just keep our baby safe," Victor whispered.
The night went by with the two of them in each other's arms. Amanda was far too happy. Cynthia's success fueled a green-eyed monster within her. But no matter what she did, nothing ever worked, and when he started dating Victor, she was able to manipulate him into taking everything away from Cynthia, and she successfully got rid of her. Now it was time to get rid of her sister. Once that is done, she is going to live her best life with her future husband and her baby and finally get all the happiness in the world.
Anna woke up from her deep slumber when she heard a knock on the door. It was too early, and she knew that her sister must have come home to take her to the villa to live with her and her brother-in-law. She didn't want to stay with them, but her sister insisted that she come with her, so she was left with no choice at all. She had to stay with her; she was her sister, after all, though she wanted to give them privacy.
At age twenty, three years younger than Cynthia, she wanted to live alone and finish her studies, but her sister didn't want to take no for an answer. She wanted her to stay by her side, and she had to do it to make her happy. Cynthia has done nothing but bring happiness into her life, and she wanted to do the same for her.
Anna sighed as she pushed the door open, only to stop seeing who was at the door. Her eyebrows shot up.
"You. What are you doing here so early?" Anna questioned. She knew that Amanda and Cynthia were best friends, but she saw through her. She wasn't a good person, and Anna simply didn't like her at all.
A forced smile spread across Amanda's face as she adjusted her stance. "Good morning, Anna. I baked a cake this morning, and I thought I should bring some for you," Amanda said, her teeth gritted. Anna was nothing but a bad little witch, and she knew she couldn't fool her easily.
"Oh." Anna's eyes narrowed as she looked at Amanda's face. Of course, she knew she wouldn't wake up so early in the morning just to bake a cake for her; she must be wanting something. "Thank you." Anna extended her hand and took the cake from Amanda, but she remained standing at the entrance. Her eyebrows knitted together.
"Do you need anything else?" Anna questioned, a spark of annoyance flaring within her.
Amanda chuckled awkwardly. "Won't you invite me in?" She asked, trying to mask her annoyance.
"Had I wanted to invite you in, I could have done it a long time ago. Just get lost," Anna retorted, her tone dripping with disdain. Amanda's eyes darted away as she forced a smile.
"See you later then." She muttered under her gritted teeth. Anna said nothing and she shut the door in front of her.
She knew that her sister was going to be mad at her for doing this to her best friend, but she didn't like her at all, and Cynthia was just naive. She won't see her true colors. She walked over to the kitchen with the cake in her hand, opening the dustbin, she threw the cake inside, and she closed it.
Walking over to the fridge, she poured herself a glass of water and gulped it down before making her way back to her room.
Amanda hit the steering wheel with her hand that was curled into a ball, and a fire of rage raged within her.
"That little brat. Who does she think she is!" Amanda yelled under her gritted teeth. She took a deep breath before she grabbed her phone on the seat next to her and dialed a number. After pressing the green button, the call was quickly picked up.
"I want you to kill someone, meet me in the location I'm going to send you," Amanda said, a smirk on her lips. If she can't solve her problems, then Cynthia's money will. It was so simple.
