Chapter 38: 37. A Normal Life
"Jayden the food is ready!" Wendy shouted as she wave at him from a far while he is busy planting some crops.
It's been two months now since Wendy left the Reyes Mansion and anytime soon she will give birth with the Reyes Heir.
'Wendy grew beautiful each day and she have this cute and weird cravings that want me to squish her cheeks.' Jayden thought to himself as he looked hot in topless shirt.
The Girls in the village are all over him yet his eyes are all on Wendy.
Everyone thought that Wendy was his wife and Jayden was glad living his life to the fullest together with Wendy.
Zade and Wendy didn't have any communication at all not even phone calls because maybe the other clans will track her down if she made contact with him.
Wendy was sad about this yet she knew this is what best for her children. Jayden was always by his side taking good care of her and not letting her feel alone.
"Say Jayden, I want to eat green mango." Wendy said as Jayden smiled. "Yeah let's get you one after lunch." Jayden said as Wendy smiled.
"Do you have any news about the Reyes?" Wendy asked as Jayden start eating. "No it's been two months already." Jayden said as his grandparents looked at them.
"Eat more vegetables dear," Jayden's Grandma said as Wendy smiled.
"Your parents will be here soon, Do you wish to go back to the city?" Jayden asked as Wendy smiled. "No, I wish to give birth here." Wendy said as Jayden smiled.
"Okay then," Jayden answered as he continued his meal.
After the meal Jayden immediately went to the market to search for a green mango. Wendy is walking with him and they looked like a lovely couple together.
"Jayden..." Wendy called as she point on the maternity dress. "Don't you think this is cute?" She asked and laugh as Jayden heart skipped a bit.
"Jayden?" Wendy asked again as Jayden was frozen by Wendy's beautiful smile.
"Can I..." Jayden said as he grabbed Wendy and pulled her close to him. "I'm sorry I just want to hug you." Jayden said as Wendy hugged her back.
"It's okay..." Wendy said as Jayden blushed. "You're so beautiful Wendy." Jayden said as Wendy smiled.
"Ahhhh! Green Mango!" Wendy joyfully walked towards the shop and bought one kilogram of green mango.
Wendy eye's sparkles as her mouth drools while eating it.
"Easy, no one will take that mango away from you." Jayden said as Wendy smiled. "Here wipe your mouth," Jayden hand the tissue as Wendy smiled and let Jayden wipe it for her.
"Your like a kid..." Jayden said as Wendy nodded.
"You see it's been a while since I felt like living a normal life like this." Wendy said as Jayden smiled. "You can live here with me forever, I can take good care of you." Jayden said as Wendy smiled.
"I want you to do that to my children, If they find it exhausting living as a Mafia's Children. Let them experience such a normal life like this and let them cherished what a normal life is." Wendy said.
"I'm Zade's Wife now, there is no turning back with my decision. Yet my children have their own decisions." Wendy said as she looked at Jayden.
"Please take good care of them." She added as Jayden nods.
"It's been months now but I never saw you talk to your mother or your sister. Do you mind if I asked you about your personal life?" Wendy asked as Jayden take a sip from his bottled water.
"There is nothing much going on in our family. Let's go home I'm a bit exhausted too." Jayden said as Wendy smiled.
"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to. I just asked because it's been awkward for awhile ever since we live in to that house." Wendy said as she starts walking.
"We can rent another place." Jayden said. "Nah that would be too much trouble beside I'm enjoying your grandparents care. It made me feel like I'm part of the family." Wendy explains.
"I just want to know about your situation, You've been taking care of me for awhile now. Atleast, let me take care of you." Wendy said as Jayden felt like Wendy wants him to depend on her a little bit.
"You really are an amazing person Wendy, Your someone that I look up to, I love you and I want to be with you." Jayden said as Wendy smiled.
"Yeah I know but you also know that I'm already taken right?" She asked as she wave her ring. "I do..." Jayden said as he laugh silently
"My parents got divorced when I was a kid and my grandparents have been taking care of me ever since my parents let me choose which side should I be with." Jayden started as he looked around the people walking.
"You see love is such a great thing for others yet for me it is something that I don't understand and felt about when I was a kid. I worked on a lot of part time jobs since I feel guilty with my grandparents raising me." He added.
"Your parents broke up because?"
"Because they don't love each other and they we're just pushing themselves around me since they don't have a choice. My Mom got pregnant with me when she was fourteen and she said she never wanted to have a child back then. I was a mistake they have to put up and take responsibility with." Jayden smiled sadly remembering how his parents left him with his grandparents.
"Jayden, Is this the reason why you won't move on from me?" Wendy asked as Jayden smiled.
"I love you with all my heart Wendy. Even if you can't love me back just please let me love you from afar. I am more than contented by this type of things." Jayden said as Wendy just stared at how Jayden eyes sparkles.
"If you get to like my daughter I will let you have her. Just promise me one thing, Let her live a normal life away from all the mess we've been through." Wendy said as Jayden blushed.
"Your talking about the impossible again Wendy. Your the only one I want." Jayden said as he drink the rest of his water.
"Let's go home now." He said as when they were about to go home they got to see Jayden's mother being beaten to the ground by the sellers since she didn't pay her debt.
Jayden stared at how her mother was beaten to the plump as Wendy hold his hand.
"Help her Jayden." Wendy pleaded as Jayden walked towards the fight and separate his mother from the others.
"Son! Help me!" Jayden's mother pleaded as Jayden paid each of them money and dragged her Mom home.
Wendy looked worried as Jayden looked pissed.
"What the hell are you thinking causing such ruckus when you know that we have to lay low here in the village!" Jayden shouted as his mother trembles in fear.
"I'm sorry, It's just that I don't have enough money to spend for your sister." His mother explained as Jayden laugh.
"I don't have a sister, That kid of yours is for you to take care off. Where is her father anyway? You slutty b*tch did you get another divorce?!" Jayden asked provoking his mother as he received a slap from Wendy.
"That's enough now Jayden. Go outside and repent from the disrespectful things you said!" Wendy shouted as Jayden slowly walks back and went outside sitting in the big mahogany tree.
"You don't need to do that Wendy, What he said was true." Jayden Mom said as she starts crying.
"Her father starts disrespecting me and he usually makes me as his human punching bag whenever Jayden isn't watching." Jayden's mother explained.
"I cannot bring to tell Jayden myself since he looked up towards his father a lot. He also seems like he was having fun around him. I cannot let him think bad about him. I successfully had my divorce but years after that his father found me and raped me causing me to have another kid and that is Janna." She explained.
"Jayden never knew it, Even if I tried explaining he won't bother listening. I'm a bad mother." She cried her heart out as Wendy feel bad for her.
"Being a mother is though huh, especially if your thinking about the future of your kids." Wendy said as she hold into her belly.
"I left my husband too since I want my children to be safe. I am just like you but we cannot call ourselves as a bad mother since we are only doing such things to protect our children." Wendy added as she smiled.
"Jayden might be mad right now but he'll come back to his senses and forgive you someday." Wendy added.
"I'm dying, I already have stage four lung cancer. I don't have that much of a time now."
