Chapter 41: 40. Save
"Are you damn insane?!" Aaron shouted as he looked pissed since Zade decided to get his wife back with his own hands.
"I just don't get why would he let you do the hard work?!" Mary shouted back as she was also frustrated by how things happened.
"This is not something for you to interfere Mary! Zade is not allowed in the battle field because that's what the enemy want! Zade is the leader of the falcon and if he dies in that battle field so is this Empire!" Aaron was really furious about it .
If Mary didn't interfere Zade will be at home trusting his subordinate to bring his wife back.
"Don't you trust me Mary?" Aaron asked as Mary looked at him.
"Do you think I'll die in that battle field?" He asked again.
"I promised right? That I will always come back home alive to you. Did I ever break that promise?" He had a lot of questions yet Mary just stands in the corner and stares at him with a sad eyes.
"Fine..." Mary gave up as Zade looked at how Mary let Aaron go.
"I will bring the young missy back Boss." Aaron said as he bow his head and they immediately went out to the Real Mansion.
"Do you think this is the best thing to do?" Zade asked as Mary smiled.
"I'll leave this mansion once Aaron come back home. I don't want to burden him from my worries and by his work. I guess I cannot stand seeing the person I love die because of his job." Mary said as she sat down on the corner.
"When Aaron killed your father, Why did you stop him? He did a lot of horrible things for him to deserve that death." Zade asked.
"I wished I had the chance to asked him if he really looked at us as his daughter rather than a money making machine.". Mary looked down thinking at how heartless Aaron killed his father in front of him.
"Yet you forgave Aaron for such act?" Zade asked.
"Yes but seeing the situation now, on how the Village burn down to ashes and the Empires raising to the tops. I don't think I belong here." Mary added.
Zade stopped writing and looked at Mary. "Say, What emotion do you think Wendy is wearing right now especially that she is pregnant with our twins?" Zade asked.
"She might be scared right now." Mary answered.
"Didn't you see how Wendy responded when the both of you got kidnapped by Camila?" He asked again.
Mary looked back and remember how calm Wendy is the whole time while they are being kidnapped.
"She was calmed and relaxed because she knew that we will come and save her. That's how an Alpha trust her subordinate. For you to stay by Aaron's side you don't need to protect him, You just need to trust him just like how Wendy trusted us." Zade said and went back making his report.
In the battlefield Knight and Katana are standing up against each other. Katana's skill are improvised yet Knights strength is something else.
"You traitor! After the Reyes help you and trusted you!" Knight shouted as Katana laughed.
"It was the Reyes fault for not being collaborative with my ideas!" Katana shouted as she attack Knight and Knight immediately went for defense.
The sun starts to shine on the horizon as Katana and Knight faced each other on the grassy battlefield. The wind whispered between them, a moment of calm before the storm.
Katana, with her dark hair flowing, held her namesake blade, a gleaming, curved weapon she wielded with deadly precision.
Her eyes narrowed as she stared at her opponent. Across from her stood Knight, a towering figure encased in gleaming armor. His broad sword was raised, heavy but steady in his grip.
With a battle cry, Katana lunged first, her blade flashing in the dying sunlight. She was swift, her movements fluid like a dancer's.
Her strikes were aimed at the small gaps in Knight's armor, each one quick and deadly. Knight raised his sword, absorbing the rapid blows, but each one rattled through him like thunder.
Knight pushed back with a heavy swing, forcing Katana to step aside. She moved like water, dodging and weaving, slashing at his side. Knight grimaced as her blade glanced off his armor, a shallow cut marking his side.
But he didn't falter.
Knight steadied himself, planting his feet firmly on the ground. His eyes locked onto Katana's next move. As she came in low for another strike, Knight parried with his sword and used his weight to knock her back.
Katana staggered but regained her balance quickly. She spun, her katana cutting through the air in a wide arc, aiming for Knight's shoulder.
This time, Knight was ready. He raised his sword in a powerful counter, meeting her strike with such force that it sent shockwaves through the air.
Katana's blade was stopped cold, and for the first time, her eyes widened in surprise. Before she could react, Knight stepped forward and swung his sword down with a massive blow.
Katana dodged, but not fast enough. The flat of Knight's blade struck her shoulder, sending her crashing to the ground. Her katana flew from her hand, landing several feet away.
Breathing hard, Katana tried to rise, but Knight was already there. His sword pointed at her, inches from her chest. For a moment, there was silence, save for the sound of their labored breathing.
Knight looked down at her, his voice steady but filled with respect. "You lost Katana."
Katana, knowing she had given everything but was bested, nodded slowly. The battle was over.
Knight lowered his hand, offering his sword on her neck. "You can die now, Katana."
She accepted the gesture, pulling herself to together. Though defeated, she stood with honor, knowing this fight would be her last.
A single slash and Katana's head dispatch from her body.
That is how Knights sword made a legacy that night. He killed the Katana's Head Family with his sword.
The basement of the Real Mansion was dimly lit, a single flickering bulb casting long shadows on the cold stone walls. Wendy sat tied to a chair in the corner, her breathing shallow as she tried to remain calm. Fear gripped her, but she knew that someone was coming to save her.
It's because he trust Zade more than anything else.
On the far side of the room, Azel stood waiting, a cold smile on his face. He held a gun, tapping the side of it impatiently. His eyes flicked toward Wendy, his voice low and mocking. "Your hero's coming. But he won't leave this basement alive."
The heavy door creaked open, and Aaron stepped in, his gaze hard as it landed on Azel.
"What are you doing here?! Where the fvck is Zade David Reyes?!" Azel asked yet Aaron didn't respond.
His fists clenched at the sight of Wendy, but he forced himself to focus. Azel was the immediate threat. Aaron had faced dangerous men before, but this was personal.
'The young missy looked hurt and terrified, I'll finish him this instance.' Aaron thought to himself.
Azel raised the gun, aiming it straight at Aaron. "You think you can save her?" he taunted, his finger hovering over the trigger.
Aaron didn't respond with words. In a blur, he lunged to the side just as Azel fired, the gunshot echoing off the basement walls. The bullet missed, ricocheting off a metal pipe. Aaron moved fast, closing the distance between them before Azel could line up another shot.
Azel swung the gun toward Aaron's head, but Aaron ducked, his body moving with the fluidity of a trained fighter. He caught Azel's wrist, twisting it sharply in a judo hold. The gun fell from Azel's grasp, clattering to the floor. Azel cursed, trying to wrench free, but Aaron's grip was iron.
Using Azel's momentum against him, Aaron flipped him over his shoulder, slamming him to the ground with a heavy thud. Azel gasped, the wind knocked out of him, but he wasn't finished. He scrambled to his feet, swinging wildly at Aaron.
Aaron dodged the strikes with ease, his movements calm and calculated. When Azel rushed him again, Aaron sidestepped, grabbing Azel's arm and locking it in another judo hold. This time, he didn't let go. Не twisted hard, forcing Azel's body to the ground, pinning him there with a knee pressed firmly against his back.
Azel struggled, but Aaron applied more pressure. "It's over," Aaron growled, his voice low and dangerous.
Azel grunted in pain, his face pressed against the cold floor. "You think you're the hero, don't you?"
Aaron didn't answer. He slammed Azel's head against the ground once, hard enough to knock him out cold. Azel's body went limp, the fight drained from him completely.
Breathing heavily, Aaron stood up, his eyes scanning the room. He spotted the gun and kicked it far out of reach, ensuring there were no more surprises. Then, he turned to Wendy.
He rushed to her side, his hands gentle as he untied her ropes. "Are you okay?" he asked, concern flooding his voice as his eyes softened, taking in her condition.
Wendy nodded, her eyes glistening with relief. "I'm fine, Aaron. You got here just in time." Wendy reassure as her tummy begins to ache.
He pulled her into his arms, holding her close for a moment. "I promised I'd bring you back alive to Boss," he whispered, his voice steady now.
Wendy leaned into him, her breath finally easing. Aaron had won the fight. And for now, they were safe.
"Aaron, I think I'm going into labor."
