Wendy And Her Mafia Lover

Wendy sat on the edge of the plush leather couch, her foot tapping lightly against the hardwood floor.

The sleek, modern apartment around her was quiet, but the air was charged with anticipation. She glanced at Zade, who stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, hands in his pockets, his strong profile lit by the soft glow of the city lights outside.

His dark eyes were sharp, scanning the street below as if expecting a threat at any moment.

"I still don't understand why you think we need this level of security for a nanny," Zade said, his voice soft but firm. He trusted Wendy's instincts, but this seemed extreme.

Wendy turned, her expression unreadable as always. "It's not just a nanny, Wendy. She's the best. She can take care of the baby and handle anything else that comes our way."

Wendy sighed, leaning back against the couch. "I just want someone who will love and care for them."

Zade crossed the room, his movements fluid and confident, and sat beside her. "She'll do that. But in our world, love and care aren't enough. We need someone who can protect her, too." He gently took her hand, his thumb brushing over her knuckles. "I'm not taking any chances."

Just then, the doorbell rang. Wendy's heart skipped a beat. Zade stood immediately, his hand instinctively reaching to his side, though he carried no weapon here. Wendy rose too, a nervous flutter in her chest as she followed him to the door.

When Zade opened it, a woman stood on the other side. She was tall, poised, with sharp features and an aura of authority. Her eyes met Zade's, and for a moment, the air between them was thick with unspoken understanding.

"I'm Cali," she said in a calm, almost detached voice. "I believe you were expecting me."

Wendy looked her over, noting the way she moved, graceful, deliberate, every step measured. She didn't look like any nanny Wendy had ever seen. There was something almost military in her bearing, as if she was assessing the room for exits, threats, possibilities.

Zade extended his hand. "Yes, we were." His voice was low, but there was a sense of approval in it. He could see the strength behind Camille's calm exterior, the hidden skill she brought with her.

Wendy stepped forward, her voice gentle but firm. "Thank you for coming, Cali. We're… excited to have you here."

Camille's gaze softened slightly as she looked at Wendy. "Your daughter will be safe with me, Mrs. Reyes. I'll take care of everything."

Wendy felt a strange sense of reassurance, though part of her still wondered what exactly "everything" meant in Zade's world.

In Jayden's apartment, Knight and Target had a quarrel causing the mission to stop for awhile as they need to fix their personal issues by themselves.

Jayden reported it immediately to Zade as Zade smiled in the video call with Wendy. "They are normal siblings after all. Just make sure that they will not kill each other, after all your their father right?" Zade asked as Jayden nodded.

'I see, I need to act like a father rather than superior in this mission.' Jayden thought as he knocks on their rooms and asked them to meet him in the living room.

The both of them went to the living room yet they were cold to each other as Jayden offered them a tea to calm down.

"Tell me what the problem is?" He asked as Knight started. "It's because that asshole starts going all the way with her! How could he be that pervert?! I would love to kill him with my own hands!" Knight was furious so is Target.

"Your ruining my mission! How could you punch him in the face?!" Target asked as Jayden sigh.

"Target, your going overboard with your mission. Knights reaction was just valid." Jayden said agreeing to knight because if that certain thing happens to Jasmin he don't think that he'll just sit around and watch her sister being eaten by a devil.

"He did it too with that Head Chief's daughter!" Target shouted as Knight blushed. "She's been talking about it and everyone knew how much fcking you did with her!" Target shouted as Knight was about to say something more when Target pull her gun out and point it on his brother.

"Stupid! Moron! Jerk!" Target shouted as Zade and Wendy saw everything in the CCTV.

Wendy called Jayden as Jayden pick it up. "Bring Knight and Target home, I'll take care of them for awhile." Wendy commands as Jayden nodded.

"Wendy asked for your presence in the mansion." Jayden said as he looked serious especially that he heard Wendy's voice.

"Don't even think that you'll go through with this mission if the both of you are not in good terms. Both should know the limits of their personal life and the mission that they need to succeed." Jayden started as Target drop her gun.

"Lust..." Looking at Knight and back to Target. "And Sex offering is not part of the mission. Both of you need to rethink your actions towards each other's mission. This delay will cause a lot to the empire yet if the Madame of the house wish for you to take a break so be it. I'll handle the rest for awhile." Jayden said as he dismissed them.

In the library where Wendy sigh after seeing Target and Knight being dismissed. "Why would you like to bring them home?" Zade asked as Aaron handed him his tea.

"It's just they need guidance from a parent and I felt responsible for them," Wendy answered as Zade smiled while Aaron looked pissed.

"This is too personal little missy! You know that this delay will cause a disadvantage from the empire!" Aaron was furious since Wendy is making a decision by herself again.

"Do you think I'm messing around with this Empire?" Wendy asked in a serious tone since after she got the nanny for the twins she's been helping Zade and Aaron on some workload knowing business and how to deal with such missions.

"It's been two years since those two were focusing on the mission. Let's give them a break and figure out their mistakes. We cannot let the people that they are dating with know that they're not in the mood or pissed off by each other." Wendy explained as she looked into some files.

'Wendy change in a lot of ways, She became more scarier by the day.' Aaron thought as he looked at Zade who is calmed.

The twins are starting to walk and Wendy smiled seeing how far they've grown.

The following days Knight and Target arrived in the Reyes Mansion.

Aaron was displeased by their action yet put on a fake smile. "I'll give you two days to sort things out." He whispered to them as Aaron eyes looked deadly.

"Aaron, I told you I'll take care off them." Wendy said as Aaron stands properly and bow down his head.

"Don't try to tell them what they need to do. Each feelingsbare valid." Wendy added as Aaron looked pissed and dismissed himself.

Lately Aaron had been moody since the last episode of Mary's movie in titled "I'm in love with a Mafia Boss."

Wendy sigh bearing Aaron's moody tantrums and protection since she thought that he was just sad that Mary is now moving forward without him.

"It's been awhile Kali and Thalia." Wendy said as they are both on teary eyes. Wendy had been a mother figure to them that is why being in front of Wendy is such a big opportunity for them to feel a mother's warmth.

Wendy opened her arms as they hugged her. "It's been two long years huh, I should have done this once a year." Wendy said as they both nodded.

"I saw the reports about your school and it seems like both of you are doing great." She starts as they've been working hard to be placed in the dean's list.

"Kali, Thalia...." She called as they looked up at her. "You might not want a reward but after you finished this mission I'll give you something that will help you cope up and moved on from the situation." Wendy said.

Knight and Target looked at Wendy as the maids helped them to get their things back on their room.

"Oh Zade isn't around since he's attending a virtual meeting today. He'll come around once he finished." He said and smiled at him.

Wendy went to Zade office where Zade is having a meeting as Aaron is serving him a tea.

Zade looked at Wendy and smiled. "My Wife is here, Let's end the meeting." Zade said as everyone on the virtual laugh.

"Oyyy I'm just going to get my things, I'm going back to Kali and Thalia." She said as Zade turn off the call.

"Okay babe let's go together." He said as Aaron sighed and fixed the tea.

"Aaron, Take some rest. I'll handle the rest here." Zade reminded Aaron as Aaron bow his head.
