Chapter 11: Sage Centipede vs. Boros
The insect let out shouts of confusion as the alien giggled in amusement.
"Quite the bat you found there," laughed Boros as he punched the centipede in the face, halting its momentum and shattering its exoskeleton.
Platinum S released the creature, allowing it to crash to the ground.
The centipede grunted in pain but quickly regenerated its armor, now more furious than ever.
Glaring at Boros with blazing eyes, it roared, "How dare you!"
"I will show you what happens when you make Father Earth mad!"
"Let's see how you handle thousands of my legs working in tandem!"
"Leg Grand Drill!"
The insect connected its two large mandibles, forming a sharp point, and lunged at Boros while spinning at incredible speed like a massive drill.
The alien smirked, welcoming the challenge.
Standing his ground, he extended both hands in front of himself once more.
"Give me everything you've got," he taunted.
As Boros caught the drill, the speed, momentum, mass, and sheer ferocity of the attack overwhelmed his stance. The relentless force pushed him backward, and the drill began to edge closer to his chest as he was driven down the side of the mountain at breakneck speed.
Platinum S watched as the two titans tumbled down the mountain, shaking the earth as they went.
Realizing they would likely reach the mountain's base if the drill didn't stop, he turned his attention to the two espers. All he could see were massive tornadoes of psychic energy clashing violently.
Curious, Platinum S ran toward the psychic battle to investigate.
...............….
At the Mountain's Base
The drill reached the foot of the mountain and slammed Boros into the ground.
"Why won't you just die already?" shouted Sage Centipede.
"Because you're not strong enough," Boros responded with a smirk. "How much further do you plan on pushing me, anyway?"
"I'll drill into the Earth's core if I have to!" the centipede roared.
Boros chuckled. "As much as I'd love to test that, I'm afraid it might do too much damage to this planet."
"And I'm enjoying myself far too much here to let that happen."
As he spoke, Boros' body began to radiate intense energy.
Lightning crackled around him as he powered up to his full strength. The raw intensity of his aura disintegrated the centipede's mandibles.
"What?!" the insect cried in disbelief.
Leaning back, Boros wound up a punch. "This has been fun."
"Thank you for entertaining me."
"And goodbye."
Boros rocketed his fist into Sage Centipede's head. The punch obliterated the creature's face, and the force of the impact traveled through its entire body, vaporizing it from head to tail.
Boros leapt out of the crater that Sage Centipede had drilled him into. Suddenly, he remembered something.
"Wait... I completely forgot to ask him about God," Boros thought.
Shrugging, he muttered to himself, "Oh well..."
"Whoever God is, He clearly knows about me. He'll send more creatures my way eventually."
"I'll just ask one of them when they come. For now, I should get back to the battle."
Still brimming with energy, Boros walked toward the foot of the mega-mountain Tatsumaki had created.
"Let's see if this works..." he mused.
Leaning back, he punched the bottom of the massive structure.
The entire continent-sized mountain shifted, the impact pushing it several hundred meters.
At the peak, Tatsumaki, Psycho-Orochi, and Platinum S felt the tremors.
"What the hell is going on down there?" asked Platinum S, startled.
Boros grabbed the base of the mega-mountain and, channeling all of his energy into his arms and back, lifted the entire structure.
With a powerful grunt, he hurled the massive construct into the air.
The mega-mountain ascended into the stratosphere, climbing higher and higher. Boros leapt after it, crashing into its underside and pushing it even further into space.
In mere moments, the entire continent was launched into space.
At the peak, Tatsumaki held her breath as Psycho-Orochi and Platinum S began to panic.
Still holding the mega-mountain, Boros leaned forward, dragging it along with him. Soon, he flipped the entire structure over.
Tatsumaki was the first to realize what was about to happen. She flew as fast as she could, trying to escape from under the colossal mass.
Platinum S came to his senses next and attempted to do the same.
Psycho-Orochi, being the least mobile, split off a small part of herself. The fragment transformed into a jet and flew away, leaving the rest of her body behind.
Boros screamed as he kicked the flipped continent with all his strength, sending it hurtling back toward the planet.
Just barely, Tatsumaki managed to escape the collision's range, emerging unscathed.
The other two monsters weren't so lucky.
The impact caused massive tremors that shook the entire planet.
Tidal waves hundreds of meters tall swept across the oceans. Enormous volcanoes erupted, and earthquakes shattered the Earth's crust.
On the other side of the world, a long-lost, sunken continent was thrust to the surface by the force of the collision.
.........…
After the Crash
Boros landed gracefully on the decimated ground.
Two thousand kilometers away, an exhausted and battered Tatsumaki collapsed to her knees.
Even though she hadn't been hit directly, the shockwave from the collision had inflicted serious damage.
Panting, the green-haired esper looked around in horror.
"What in the world is that monster?" she whispered.
"How can a creature like this even exist?"
"To launch an entire continent into space, flip it upside down, and crash it back onto the planet... It's insane!"
Though she wanted to continue the fight, her body refused to cooperate. The prolonged battle and her injuries left her drained. She collapsed, unconscious.
Closing his eye, Boros let out a deep sigh. "It's over..."
"Boros..." a mysterious voice called.
"Huh?!" Boros' eye snapped open, searching for the source of the voice.
