Chapter 239: Chapter 238: The Phantom Troupe (Part 1)

"I didn't expect it to be this effective. It's truly amazing," Biscuit remarked, her face full of astonishment as she watched Daniel slowly manifest a figure using his Nen ability. The figure was an exact replica of Biscuit's Magical Esthetician Cookie, the only difference being the hair color—Biscuit's Cookie had long pink hair, while Daniel's had short black hair.

Daniel didn't hide his Nen ability from Biscuit, as it wasn't something that needed to be kept secret. After understanding its potential, Biscuit began cooperating with Daniel to develop it further. The first test subject was, of course, Biscuit's Magical Esthetician Cookie.

Magical Esthetician Cookie is an ability belonging to the Transmutation category, though it closely resembles Conjuration. Unlike Conjuration, which involves materializing objects that truly exist, Transmutation merely changes the shape of the Nen. Hisoka's Bungee Gum and Machi's Nen threads are examples of Transmutation. Even Netero's 100-Type Guanyin falls into this category.

Transmutation and Conjuration can both create various forms, but their core difference lies in substance; Conjuration materializes real objects, while Transmutation merely changes the shape of the aura.

Despite its appearance as a real person, Magical Esthetician Cookie is just an altered form of Nen, capable of using its Nen to massage and help others recover.

Daniel had a natural advantage in Transmutation due to his background in magic formations, including those from Kamar-Taj. This advantage extended to Conjuration as well, giving him an edge others lacked. Coupled with the deep analytical abilities of the Surgery Fruit, Daniel excelled in both categories. Being a Specialist, he could train in all six Nen categories.

"Amazing ability! So cool!" Killua and Gon expressed their envy upon learning about Daniel's Nen ability.

Daniel then used his ability to massage Killua, testing its restorative effects. With his knowledge of biological medicine and the human body, Daniel quickly mastered the massage techniques of Magical Esthetician Cookie.

"Only about eighty percent as effective as Biscuit's ability, but still impressive," Daniel concluded, satisfied with the results despite not achieving a perfect replication. He didn't intend to use this ability often; the success of the experiment meant he could replicate other Nen abilities too.

Seizing the opportunity, Daniel also analyzed Killua's Nen ability. As for Gon, his Enhancement ability offered little to analyze.

"I wonder if Specialist abilities can be analyzed. If I could find a Specialist willing to cooperate... Kurapika? But his ability doesn't seem useful for this."

Kurapika's Nen ability, which allows him to use all categories of Nen, wasn't particularly useful for Daniel.

"The troupe leader's ability might be interesting, but he won't cooperate. What about Nobunaga from the Hunter Association?"

Cooperation was crucial for effective analysis. Without Biscuit's perfect cooperation, Daniel couldn't have replicated her ability so quickly. The same applied to Killua.

Apart from cooperation, another essential factor was personally experiencing the target's Nen. Daniel had to make direct contact with it; mere knowledge of the ability wasn't enough. To replicate Hisoka's Bungee Gum, for instance, Daniel needed to touch Hisoka's Nen.

Any other potential issues with his ability would only become clear through further development.

In summary, Daniel's Nen ability was akin to an aura-based version of the Surgery Fruit.

Daniel's analytical ability didn't just allow him to replicate Nen abilities but also hinted at another potential—becoming an Exorcist. If he could analyze and understand an opponent's Nen, he could also dispel it. Given how rare Specialists are, Exorcists are even rarer. The Hunter Association only had one, and he wasn't very powerful.

"You've all been doing well recently, so take a day off," Biscuit announced, allowing the group to return to the Sky Arena for a break. Daniel suspected this break was more for Biscuit, who longed for modern city life after training on a deserted island for so long.

During their time on the island, the four had been living in isolation.

Back in the city, Zeno also gave Zhi Xi a day off, letting the three younger ones go out and play since they were still quite young.

"Greed Island—this game is insanely expensive. Ging must have made a fortune from it," Daniel mused, researching Ging's game on his computer.

Daniel's interest in the game stemmed not just from its technology but also from the various Nen abilities it contained. Greed Island was built on Nen principles, and Daniel's analytical ability could potentially help him understand and replicate these abilities. The fact that items from Greed Island could be used in the real world confirmed this.

"A reward of 17 billion for the game software and another 5 billion for a walkthrough, just to obtain one card. This guy has some serious money."

Through his Hunter license, Daniel accessed the Hunter website and gathered information about the game's pricing. Although he was now quite wealthy, all his earnings from the Hunter world couldn't buy a copy of Greed Island. This didn't include his assets in other worlds.

"Yorknew City—it looks like I'll have to go there." The Hunter website confirmed that Greed Island would be auctioned at the upcoming Yorknew City auction.

"Who let you agree to this?" Just as Daniel was browsing the Hunter website for more useful information, he heard Biscuit shouting outside and went to see what was happening.

"Sorry, teacher." Outside, Biscuit stood angrily before Gon and Killua, who had their heads down. Zhi Xi was also apologizing to Zeno.

Daniel soon learned what had happened. On their rare day off, Zhi Xi had been curious about the floors above 200, so Gon and Killua took him to their room on the 200th floor. As they left, they were targeted by three notorious rookie killers.

These killers captured Zhi Xi and forced Gon and Killua to agree to fight them to rescue him. If Killua hadn't restrained his lethal tendencies, he could have easily killed the three and saved Zhi Xi. However, influenced by Gon, Killua avoided lethal force, even when threatened.

"Teacher," Zeno began, but Biscuit cut him off.

"Forget it. Since they've already agreed, let's go. But remember, if you lose, don't blame me for being harsh."

This battle was also a good opportunity for Biscuit to test Gon and Killua's training results.

"No problem. We'll make them pay," Killua said with a confident smile.

"Win first, then talk. Now, go back to training," Biscuit ordered.

"I've reviewed their battle records. They won't be a match for Killua and Gon. This is a great opportunity to make some money," Daniel remarked to Biscuit over dinner.

To add pressure, Biscuit had forbidden Gon and Killua from knowing their opponents' Nen abilities in advance. In Nen battles, knowing an opponent's abilities could make a huge difference.

"Really?" Biscuit perked up at the mention of money. Despite being a famous two-star Gem Hunter, Biscuit's wealth paled compared to others of her rank. Ging, another two-star Hunter, could give away billions without batting an eye. Biscuit, however, invested most of her money in gemstones.

"Yes, they could earn tens of billions if they win all six matches." The three rookie killers and Gon and Killua had each agreed to three fights, giving the boys a chance to rack up wins.

Winning ten fights on the 200th floor qualified a fighter to challenge a floor master, but four losses would reset the count. The rookie killers hoped to boost their win records, but Daniel thought they were deluding themselves, as the floor masters were exceptionally powerful, including the likes of Chrollo Lucilfer.

As complete newcomers who had never fought before, Gon and Killua's odds were surprisingly high, given the rookie killers' reputation in the Sky Arena.

"Our player Gon wins by using his floor-tilting tactic to defeat Guido. Unbelievable!" The next day's matches shocked many as Gon used his unique strategy to win.

Flipping the floor was a devastating move against Guido, who had lost his legs and relied on a single metal rod for support.

"These guys should get Machi to heal them. She's missing out on business opportunities," Daniel remarked. Among the many fighters who had reached the 200th floor, half had various disabilities from past battles. Machi could easily charge millions per limb healed, earning billions quickly.

"I could make a fortune opening a clinic to heal the disabled. No wonder nano-medical technology is so coveted."

In the Marvel world, Daniel had already begun implementing nano-medical technology, supported by Stark Industries and allied families, averting major conflicts. Such lucrative industries couldn't be monopolized, as even Stark's arc reactor faced competition.

Daniel avoided trouble by sharing the benefits, securing numerous contracts, particularly from the military, to heal injured soldiers. The vice president's daughter's successful treatment also boosted Daniel's influence in the Western world, though he knew he'd never reach the core due to his background.

"Once again, our player Gon wins by using his floor-tilting tactic to defeat Riehlvelt." Gon seemed determined to perfect his strategy, using it to defeat all three rookie killers.

Killua's victories were easier, as he possessed greater overall strength despite Gon's raw power.

"We're rich!" Biscuit cheered, thrilled with the six consecutive wins.
