A man with a troubled past awakens in the frail body of Koby, a prisoner aboard a brutal pirate crew. He quickly realizes he’s in a strange world resembling an anime universe he’s only vaguely heard about. Disoriented yet determined, he uses his analytical mind to navigate this ruthless environment. When his path crosses that of a boy with a straw hat, he faces a decision that could not only seal his own fate but also alter the very course of history itself. ------- Warning: -First of all, English is not my native language. -The One Piece universe does not belong to me. -The story will follow the adventure of a man who has already lived one life and learned many lessons from it. -The narrative will progress at a rather slow pace (I apologize for the first few chapters—I’m still trying to find my footing. I gladly welcome any advice or critiques that could help me improve). -The protagonist only knows about One Piece by name and has only heard of a few events. I felt it made more sense that he wouldn’t already know everything about this universe and then join Luffy while pretending to discover what he already knows. That seemed hypocritical to me, and I really dislike that idea. -I’m also extending the total length of the crew’s journey, because it seems unrealistic to me that they could have accomplished everything they do in the original work in just a few months (travel, battles, healing, etc.). I’m referring in particular to the period leading up to the Sabaody Archipelago. (Feel free to consider this a slight “AU” if you wish.) ------------------------------------- I got the idea to write this story after reading the fanfic "One Piece: Coby with Skill Weaver System." However, I prefer stories with a slightly slower pace, so here I am! I hope you’ll enjoy it. I’ll do my best not to abandon the story halfway through, so please cheer me on—I’m counting on you! :)
