**SPOILER ALERT*** IF YOU HAVENT FINISHED READING MVS BUT INTEND TO CAUTION. MY VAMPIRE SYSTEM SPOILERS ******************************** It is time. The most loyal(second only to Peter) and selfless to a fault, supportive friend in the MVS universe (in my opinion), is finally going to have his happy ending. We can go on for days about the terrible childhood situation, the heartbreaking family dynamic, the tragic events of that fateful day on Blade island, and the years that followed. I can list countless instances of Vorden showing up for his people, and being the hero behind the scenes, the man with the plan. From the get go he was defending Peter and Quin from those that would bully them when ever he could. He is the one that introduced Quinn to the VR game. He took it upon himself to train Peter in the earth ability at school, taking time out of his own day to practice with him. He jumped through the Red portal after Quinn, and had to fight off a crazed bloodsucker. Vorden never once treated Quinn like a freak or a danger after the Ian incident, and kept Quinns secret. After Peter was turned into a ghoul it was Vorden who found Peter eating a student and had the forthought to throw his watch away to buy time, and dragged Peter off to the woods, sacrificed his clothes for Peter to change out of his bloody ones. He then came up with the plan to copy a regenerative ability and heroically lobbed off his own limbs to keep Peter satiated. He though ahead to copy the earth ability and was ready when Peter had to keep up appearances for Duke. He also had the idea to use the Spiritual Spears with his ability when fighting against the King tier humanoid beast during the portal outing. Not once did he complain when Quinn and Fex started spending more time together and his friend spent more time in the VR game than with him. He went through the trouble of gaining the abilities of a few of the big four and securing a safe room, then proceeded to beat up his strong friend to aquire his blood in order to buy Peter and Fex time, and spare Quinns life for a while. He also used his own family name to keep Quinn safe at the interbase military tournament. Risking the backlash of his family after the fact. When summer came, without hesitation Vorden went to the Vampire world to save Fex and Peter, even though he knew he would have no humans with abilities to copy, and this would be practically defenseless against an entire colony of vampires. He not only went, he risked his life on multiple occasions and even stood up for vampire children that were being picked on. When Borden came along he gladly accepted the new charge without concern, carried him around, and cared for him. It was Vorden's idea to save all of the Blade children from their fate at the temple. Then it was his decision to fade away leaving Sil full control of his body in order to allow them all to escape. He missed out on so much of the adventures to come. He willingly spent an unknown amount of time sharing the body of a beast and then was transferred back into a borrowed body which he had to share. After all that to end up in the same situation he started with. He hung around for countless years, not resting, so he could be there when Quinn woke. He took up the mantle as family leader with his co-horts in body. Dedicated. Never getting to live, love, experience physical inamacy. No son or daughter of his own, no recognition for all that he did, all that he sacrificed. That ALL changes today. This is my ode to Vorden Blade, in my opinion... The Sharpest Blade.
