Chapter 4: Faith In Numbers
Rumor had it around the Amish Village, an Orphan home soon to open up help wanted. Run by English, State of Lancaster Pennsylvania. The facility is a big white brick house out on an acreage. A porch all screened in and inside Amish-made furniture for a porch.
Plenty of room to run and play for the children living there. Outdoor playground equipped with a large swing set, slide, horseshoes, and Frisby golf. Volleyball net, ring toss, bean bag board games. Swimming pond.
The small school governed by them, outside barns, ponies to ride, riding lessons, and a workshop there. A dream come true for any homeless child who has faith in numbers. More to astonishment than not, " The Immaculate Home For Children." Never will you be left abandoned living in The Immaculate. A saying proceeding the namesake. The light of the sacred heart in immaculate conception. Of Virgin Mary.
The entirety of it all not only amused folks passing through. It attracted those in need of a home to save children. Children came in the middle of the night and rang a doorbell to draw attention they had a child coming to stay.
Nuns in Charge of the Home wore long black dresses and black scarves on their heads, black chunky-heeled shoes tied, and opaque stockings.
The Amish Mennonite community would become acquainted with their society of The Catholic Foundation of Adoption. English, religious freedom of speech, and the people who are in the process of changing lives. Above all The Holy Family, a community coming together to serve. Later it becomes Catholic Charities.
All children came to them through the father. And would therefore be provided by donations of the church affiliation to keep it in money. To those given away because of love, knowing
Someone wanted a child so much to adopt that they could not have children. Our causes are not known, yet to sovereign over these children to call home.
Out front of this facility, the large streets of the holy family were plaster, heavy, and had a light shining on them at night. A sacred heart symbol is visible on each statue's chest.
Before long it was up and running full strength. A large new gold school bus out front. Surrounded by a high fence, with an alarm. You must be seen with identification before entering. A fence made of wood.
Sister Mary Francis, Sr. Genieve, Sr. Edith Stien, Sr. Birgitta and Sr. Theresa. All Counselors, Father John, the Man in charge, Father Joseph. Plus hired hands to take care of the animals and upkeep of everything. They are Mennonite men. And a Sheriff on board in his building inside. Clockwork is what we need to run like a clockwork Deputy Sheriff Yoder stated.
Outside, manicured to be able to make your way around based on children. Inside the big white house, beautiful hardwood floors, and rugs to cover. A dining room, kitchen, and Chef's kitchen. Everything is on one floor, ages infant, through ten years old. Up staires, pre-teens, 13 through fifteen.
After time passed it became a very reputable place to be adopted. And they checked making sure that the kids went to a superb home or they stayed. They were able to live here indefinitely, being raised in the holy family. And in part would react as parents should behave.
One sunshiny day, Father John was admitted into the fold of the Sacred Heart. The hospital's Social services surrendered a baby boy to the facility to adopt. Born to a very young Mother, she kissed him goodbye and signed papers to put him up for adoption. A simply gorgeous baby, plump, nice flesh color. Arrived in a footy pajama in blue, and a bonnet of the same color, a chord had a pacifier in his mouth. Everything there was ordered for him bottles, baby clothes, diapers, formula, baby bed. He will be in a baby's bedroom.
Then thereafter live a normal life state run supervised. And a doctor on board with, a nurse and a doctor's office. His file on everything from his birth parents' names and time of birth in a file. The filing room invested a lot of time in making sure it all was told accurately. In a typed-up paper in his file

Held our baby, our job is to name him. The group looked at him sleeping soundly. Mouth attached to the pacifier.
Father Joseph: " We must name our baby today, any questions? Let's hear some names take your time." looking around at his colleagues smiling. Then asked Sr. Teresa, to hand him our baby, carefully doing so. He sat down while hugging him the entire time.
Everyone cooed to this beautiful tiny babe. In awww of him then names suggested, Oliver, Orval after someone's Dad, James, from the Bible. Then Francis, a holy saint's name, Cole, and Raymond to name a few.
After most of the day went by decided to name him Raymond a unique name and it satisfied me. His middle name Francis
No last name yet. He woke then laughing automatically. We all instantly fell in love with him. Made a stop to take and lay him down for a nap. His curly blonde hair and big brown eyes. He stole their hearts. Then walk through his bedroom to lay him down in his bed.
After a week passed, another baby girl named Phoebe. A black-haired blue eyes baby two months, mother decided she didn't
Wanted to be a mother brought her back to the hospital. And she becomes one of their children. Her size tiny baby was much loved by the nuns.
Next a boy of thirteen, he'd go upstairs, by the name of Theodore, his parents were killed in a car accident no close relatives took him. However, they did take a sister a year younger.
He seemed a very good boy, well-behaved and above all kind.
