A New Light Remake

After that encounter with the girl and her mother he stayed in the temple until it hit night. The only thing he thought to take notes of was the same yellow words that were the same for the girls mother. After staying in the temple he also discovered something while staying there. Whenever he looked up there would be a timer. It's almost like he's supposed to stay there for a certain amount of time. And for some odd reason he feels like it would be important.

It was 48 hours when he first appeared and now it was at 25 hours. Light decided to spend the rest of his time walking around the town. But as he was walking he saw the same girl from earlier that day hiding behind a wooden pole. The one who was able to see him. He looked around the place, it seemed that everyone went to sleep. He looked back at the girl who was again looking straight at him. He then waved at her with a smile. The girl then shoes behind the pole seeming to realize that he sees her.

He then looked confused and decided to leave her be and just continued walking. On the other hand the girl was following him, of course he knew this only because she's not very skilled at it. After walking for a bit, he finds himself standing in a field grass, the same field that he appeared in. He then looked to the night sky and took a deep breath. The girl was still following him by flattening herself to the ground and crawling.

Light sighed and addressed her.

"Stop crawling on the ground, your skin will get itchy if you do that."

The girl got startled by this and decided to get up from the ground and slowly approached him.

Light looked at her making the girl freeze a little.

"What are you doing alone tonight? Shouldn't be at home."

The stop walking towards him, but she was at a good talking distance from him.

She then spoke "i-i snuck out.."

Light looked at her confused

"Why?"

She looked down to the ground for a bit.

"I.. wanted to look for you."

Light was quite surprised by this, a little girl looking for someone random person at night.

Light sighed and kneeled to the ground.

"You shouldn't be looking for others in the middle of night, your mother is probably worried sick about you right now."

"B-but-"

She tried to protest but light cut her off before she could continue.

"You could've been kidnapped or something much worse."

The was going to say something back but ended being quiet because she didn't know what to say.

Light then sighed yet again.

"What made you want to come find me anyways?"

The girl then slowly looked at him.

"Well, when I first saw you, you looked a bit lonely, a-and nobody was looking at you for some reason so I got curious."

Light look at the girl, he was taken aback by this but he then chuckled a little. This caught the girl by surprise.

"D-did I say something funny?"

"No, no, it's just the reason nobody can see me is because I'm a spirit."

The girl was confused.

"A spirit?"

"Yeah, a spirit, a spectre that no one can see, well, I guess except for you, your pretty special if your able to see me."

The girl then gets shy again and looks away from him, it would seem that she gets a bit shy in receiving compliments. Light then looked up at the night sky and stars. The time was now at 23 hours.

"Hm" he then looked back at the girl "I think you should go back know, it's getting late."

The girl then looked back at him but not really making too much eye contact.

"Ok.." she paused a little before continuing "u-um, could you come with me?"

Light looked at her and nodded before getting up. He then began to walk her back home.

Whilst all of that was going on, somewhere in the middle of a forest, a giant crack on the ground appears. claws that are as big as he house come out as a screech comes from out of the crack. Light after taking the girl back home then instinctively turned his head to the direction of the forest almost like there's something wrong.

"That was.. weird.."
