Reiji looked at the pile of books and documents in front of him. "Alright," Reiji muttered, "it's time to get to work."

While Reiji and Yamata-no-Orochi were hurling insults at each other, a sudden voice broke the thick tension in the air.

A light yet firm knocking sound.

"Knock! Knock! Knock!"

The sound interrupted their conversation, causing Reiji to stop abruptly and glance towards the entrance.

Despite the atmosphere filled with animosity, Reiji couldn't ignore the knocking.

Slowly, Reiji walked towards the door, impatience enveloping him.

When the door opened, Reiji's face showed surprise at the figure standing there.

Karina, with her slightly messy red hair and eyes that hinted at confusion, stood upright in the doorway.

"What's wrong, Karina?" Reiji asked with a puzzled expression, not expecting Karina's arrival to change the already tense atmosphere.

"I heard you won't be coming back to the Academy anymore. Is that true?" Karina immediately shot the question, her voice laced with undeniable concern.

Reiji scratched his head awkwardly, his eyes blinking for a moment before he finally responded.

"Um... Yes, that's true... But I will still be registered as a student there," Reiji said, trying to provide an explanation that sounded more logical, even though he himself wasn't sure.

Karina furrowed her brow, her face suddenly filled with anger.

"What? Why would you do that?" Karina asked in a high-pitched tone, her angry voice seeming to shatter the tension around them.

Reiji slightly recoiled, as if searching for the right words. "Uhm... Well, you know, right? I'm a genius?"

"So I get the privilege of not having to study at the Academy anymore."

"I'll start studying independently from home, using all the books your father gave me," Reiji explained enthusiastically, although a hint of nervousness was clearly visible on his face.

Karina looked at Reiji with a gaze full of disbelief, as if she couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"What? A Reiji, who is forgetful, foolish, lazy, unreliable, and often does strange things, a genius? Don't joke!" Karina almost shouted, her voice filled with confusion and anger.

"But that's the reality," Reiji replied awkwardly, trying to suppress a small laugh, even though he knew how absurd his statement was.

Karina stared at him with an increasingly intense angry expression.

"So from now on, you won't be coming back to the Academy?" Karina's voice was now softer, but her face still reflected deep disappointment.

Reiji felt an unusual worry deep within him.

Seeing Karina suddenly become gloomy shook his heart a little.

"Um... Yes, that's true," Reiji answered hesitantly, for the first time feeling uncomfortable in this conversation.

In an instant, Karina's expression changed drastically.

Her previously angry face became somber, and in a flash, Karina averted her gaze, lowering her head.

No more anger remained, only sadness was clearly visible.

"Reiji, you're so annoying!" Karina hissed, her emotions suddenly exploding.

Without warning, Karina stepped forward and punched Reiji hard in the stomach.

The sharp pain surprised Reiji, his eyes widened as he staggered back for a moment.

Without giving Reiji time to respond, Karina turned and ran away from the place.

Reiji's steps were quick and filled with frustration, leaving him still frozen in place, rubbing his stomach that felt hot from the earlier blow.

"Damn..." Reiji muttered, his hand clutching his still aching stomach.

Reiji's face looked weary, and he snorted.

"Now I really understand Kushina's nature. It turns out that nature comes from Karina... No wonder they are like that, siblings." With a heavy sigh, Reiji stared at the closed door, as if feeling confused about what had just happened.
