Chapter 9: 9
"No, no, I don't believe you!" - Denris exclaimed. - "This
cannot be! He couldn't lower himself like that."
"Oh, you offend me! Jamien really liked my love," the
vampire drawled contentedly. "Ask him yourself."
"But how did you manage to sneak into his bedroom and
meet him?"
Liorif chuckled.
"You're not all that protected from passionate admirers. I
am a likorn and can be invisible."
The vamp's revelations greatly upset Denris, and he
looked pleadingly and helplessly at Ellamyria, who pretended
not to be bothered at all by such trifles, but nevertheless she
carelessly whispered at his offended look:
"Beloved, understand that aristocrats are not supposed to
be denied admission if they have passionate feelings for the
royal person. These are the rules: the admirer is given a
chance to open his heart. If you do not want to reciprocate, no
one will force you."
"I don't accept such relationships between men, - Denris
protested, trying not to look at Liorif anymore. "Why doesn't
anyone ask me if I even want to listen to all this nonsense
about gentle male friendship, obsessively directed at me?
What is my immunity in this case? I don't want to put up with
this!"
Denris rose from the sofa and hurried over to the window.
"I will jump down if he approaches me again."
They all looked at each other anxiously.
"Don't be stupid, Denris! Please!" Gedeon rushed to him,
grabbing his arm. "Suicide is not an option! Calm down! I
won't let anyone hurt you!"
"Even if you are not resurrected, your soul will be reborn
among us, but without the memory of a past life," Liorif
blurted out, jumping to his feet. "And then you will grow up
tolerant of our society and will not reject my love. I will wait
only fifteen years, this is not a term for me, Your Radiance!"
Denris's face contorted in despair, and he sank to the
floor, cringing.
"Get out of here!" Shouted Gedeon to the vampire, who
made offended face and walked out of the living room.
"What is this all for?" The young royal cast a condemning
glance at Ellamyria and went out after Liorif.
The Queen rose from the sofa and approached her lover,
who was sitting on the floor in a pitiful state.
"I couldn't imagine the meeting my son would depress you
like that, dear. He just talked to you and confessed his love. No
need to react like that and threaten suicide. Such feelings are
beautiful, and you roll up the drama because of your
prejudices."
"Remember how you didn't ask me for my consent to be
intimate with you?" Denris whispered darkly. "You charmed
me and dragged me to bed. Your son is going to do the same
to me. It's all written on his face..."
"Don't you like to soar in the sky with me?" She asked
imperiously, looking down at him.
"It is, of course, fabulous and intoxicating, but it was never
my desire. I am just your toy, which is not asked, but used!"
He shouted bitterly, jumping to his feet:
"Look what you did to me! Is this what normal men look
like? I look like a woman with a male organ. No wonder I'm
now so coveted by everyone! I don't want to see any male
vampire around me!"
Ellamyria flashed her diamond eyes angrily and walked
away, her fluffy wings rustling.
Denris didn't know where to go. He couldn't go back to his
bedroom in the Tower for settlers because of his vulnerability
to the vamps. Gedeon disappeared somewhere, leaving him
without support.
After spending a long time in an empty living room, he
went to wander through the aisles and stairs, getting into
luxuriously furnished rooms in which there was not a soul,
but it seemed that someone invisible was still present and
watching him.
He looked around many times in an attempt to detect the
invisible, but he did not notice anyone. After long wanderings
around the tower, he wearily lay down on a bed in one room,
trying to distract himself from sad thoughts about his
imprisonment, entertaining himself with the creation of
plasma balls that circled and scattered above him into multi-
colored fiery sparks fading in the air.
He thought of Rianka, with whom he had been lovers on
the ship all that long journey of forty years. The careerist
never agreed to marry him, considering marriage an
unnecessary relic of the past.
Continuing to have a strong affection for the captain, the
former pilot met with her recently with the hope that she
would want to be with him again, appreciating his fabulous
transformation. But her heart was occupied by a magnificent
Overlord, whose conquering power will disarm anyone and
force them to obey.
Unrequited love corroded his soul, and if earlier he could
have coped with this, then after an accelerated transmutation,
his new body began to demand sensual pleasures in huge
quantities. He had to disappear for days in the bedrooms of
princesses to satisfy these crazy needs, but this did not please
him at all.
Denris stared at his incredibly beautiful youthful
appearance for in the mirror, smoothed his soft long graphite
colour hair, looked into his transparent bottomless eyes with
silver sparks, fearing becoming a narcissist, and one thought
tormented his mind - it's no wonder that vamps so desire
intimacy with him, he's too gorgeous to be ignored. A thin
muscular body with harmonious proportions and velvety
radiant skin, a delicate diamond-shaped face with graceful
features. Why did the Queen change his appearance so
drastically? He turned into a luxurious sex toy with magical
powers. For some reason, this transformation did not please
him.
All his friends, who lived with him in the same tower, did
not understand the emotional throwings of the former pilot
of starship, and one day he accidentally heard how they
quietly laugh at him among themselves:
"Our handsome boy is not in the mood again today. He
returned dissatisfied after another date with one of the
winged cuties."
