Chapter 15: Chapter 15 – Violent Execution
Everyone harbored their own questions, but this was no place to linger.
Tatsuki turned to Saeko Busujima.
"Saeko Busujima, do you know where we can find a car? Preferably one that can fit all of us so we can leave the school."
"Tatsuki-kun, just call me Saeko. As for a car..."
Saeko paused, uncertain of where one might be.
"I know!"
Shizuka Marikawa raised her hand enthusiastically, causing her "assets" to bounce in a way that almost distracted Tatsuki's focus.
Thankfully, his mental fortitude held strong.
"I have a car, parked in the lot behind the school."
"Good, lead the way," Tatsuki replied.
Following Shizuka's lead, the group moved toward the parking lot.
Rei Miyamoto remained silent, while Saya Takagi seemed fascinated by the Lightning Dharma field surrounding them.
…
At the parking lot, there weren't many corpses.
After clearing out the ones at the entrance, the area inside was relatively safe.
"That's my car!"
Shizuka pointed at her jeep and unlocked it with the keys.
"Since it's your car, you'll drive," Tatsuki instructed.
One by one, the group boarded the vehicle.
Once everyone was inside, Shizuka started the engine and began driving toward the lot's exit.
Suddenly—
"Wait!"
A bespectacled man leading a group of students ran toward them.
Shizuka instinctively hit the brakes, bringing the car to a stop.
In no time, the group surrounded the vehicle.
The man scanned the car's occupants—a few female students, a dazed school nurse, a girl who looked like she was cosplaying, and only one male.
His lips curled into a subtle smile.
Adjusting his glasses with a single hand, his half-lidded eyes gave him a seemingly refined demeanor.
"Hello, I'm Koichi Shido, a teacher at this school," he introduced himself with an oily charm.
"The school is overrun with corpses now. We should band together. Would you all like to join us?"
Saya Takagi and Rei Miyamoto frowned, uncomfortable under Shido's scrutinizing gaze.
Saeko, calm as ever, rested her hand on her katana.
Exusiai, seated casually, continued polishing her gun with a bored expression.
"Well, of co—"
Shizuka, still a bit dazed, almost agreed, but froze when she noticed Tatsuki's cold, piercing stare directed at her.
Shuddering, her response abruptly changed.
"Of course not."
"Oh?"
Shido had been confident that Shizuka would be easy to manipulate, but her sudden shift surprised him.
His sharp instincts immediately told him that the sole male in the group was responsible for her change of tone.
His frustration flared, though he quickly masked it with a smile.
"How unfortunate," Shido said lightly, his voice tinged with faux regret.
But the subtle malice in his eyes didn't escape Tatsuki.
Tatsuki stepped out of the car, his golden gaze locking onto Shido.
"We don't have time for your games. Step aside."
Shido's smile faltered briefly before regaining composure.
"Now, now, there's no need for hostility. I'm simply extending an olive branch. Surely, in such dire times, we must work together?"
Tatsuki took a step forward, his cold, commanding voice cutting through the air.
"You're a parasite. And in my world, parasites get crushed."
Shido's face darkened, his pretense slipping as the tension mounted.
"It seems Shizuka-sensei and her group don't wish to join us," Shido said smoothly, his tone dripping with feigned politeness.
"However, as the senior here and the one who has led these students to safety, I believe it's only fair that you leave this vehicle for us. What do you think?"
He turned to face the students behind him, his expression manipulative and calculated.
"Don't you agree that we need this vehicle more?"
The students' eyes lit up as one after another they voiced their agreement.
"That's right! We need this vehicle more!"
"Shizuka-sensei, leave the car to us."
"Don't worry, we'll find help outside and come back to save you."
…
One after another, their self-righteous declarations rang out.
"That bastard!" Rei Miyamoto spat, her eyes burning with rage.
"This is our car! Why should we give it to you?"
Her voice dripped with disgust.
Rei's anger wasn't just about the car—Shido was the man responsible for her being forced to repeat a grade.
"Hah?"
Shido turned with a venomous smile, his sinister gaze locking onto her.
"Didn't you hear? This is the will of the people. The voice of the majority."
His implication was clear: he intended to use the group's numbers to intimidate them into submission.
Dressed in a veneer of righteousness, his actions were despicable.
"Ah, the hypocrisy of adults," Exusiai remarked, shaking her head in mock disappointment as she watched the scene unfold.
"Are you done talking?"
Tatsuki's cold voice cut through the air, silencing the chaos.
"Hmm?"
Shido's eyes narrowed in surprise—he hadn't expected Tatsuki to speak up.
Just as Shido prepared to press his advantage, Tatsuki acted.
Swish! Bang!
Shido's head exploded in an instant!
It happened so fast that no one could see what had occurred.
Thud!
Shido's lifeless body collapsed to the ground, leaving everyone stunned.
"H-he's dead! Shido-sensei is dead!"
"What just happened?!"
Panic spread through the students.
…
Meanwhile, Exusiai and Saeko, having witnessed everything clearly, exchanged glances.
Tatsuki had flicked a coin with such force and precision that it pierced Shido's skull, causing his head to explode.
"Shizuka, drive," Tatsuki ordered calmly.
"Ah! O-okay!"
Shizuka, still shaken by the sight of Shido's blood and brain matter splattered everywhere, snapped back to reality and started the car.
One of the students rushed to block their path. "Leave the car—"
Bang!
Before he could finish, his head also exploded.
"!!!!"
The remaining students finally understood—anyone who tried to stop the car would meet the same fate.
Terrified, they ducked their heads and stayed quiet, not daring to block the vehicle again.
As the car moved forward, its body was enveloped in Tatsuki's Yin Lightning, creating a protective field that annihilated any corpse or threat that came near.
