Apocalypse Chat Group: Conquering the Heroines

Chapter 4: Chapter 4 – Apocalypse Game

During the mid-morning break, Tatsuki usually stayed in the classroom.

But starting today, things would be different.

He had approached Shizuka Hiratsuka, a teacher, to establish a new club called the "Paranormal Research Club."

As the name suggests, it was a club dedicated to researching the paranormal.

His goal was for students to come to him if they ever encountered supernatural occurrences.

This way, he could address these issues under the guise of taking on requests, allowing him to quickly engage and resolve them.

Not only would this earn him apocalypse points, but it would also help prevent the spread of abnormalities.

The club had just been founded.

Inside, there was nothing but a large table and a few chairs.

That afternoon, he planned to recruit a few members since at least five people were required to formally establish the club.

As he was about to clean the floor, the door to the clubroom was knocked on.

"Come in."

Who could it be?

The door opened.

It was Shizuka Hiratsuka, and behind her was Yukinoshita Yukino.

Shizuka scanned the room before locking her gaze on Tatsuki.

This student who constantly gave her headaches.

He always scored perfect marks on exams, ranking first.

Excelled in sports with perfect scores as well.

And he was strikingly handsome.

He had clean, sharp, black short hair.

Chiseled, handsome features with golden, heterochromatic eyes.

Fair skin with a subtle, healthy glow.

His appearance was both masculine and full of vitality.

Yet this exceptional student had suddenly decided to establish a Paranormal Research Club to study supernatural phenomena!

What puzzled her even more was that Yukinoshita Yukino, the third-ranked student in their year, wanted to join the club!

She felt like the world had gone mad.

"Ms. Hiratsuka, Yukinoshita-san, is there something I can help you with?"

Tatsuki asked.

Shizuka, looking exasperated, ran a hand through her hair.

"Well, Yukinoshita wants to join your… Paranormal Research Club."

"Oh?"

Tatsuki turned his curious gaze to Yukino.

Feeling the weight of his golden eyes on her, Yukino instinctively pressed down on the hem of her skirt.

He withdrew his gaze.

"Sure, I was just looking for members."

He agreed.

"That's great. Well, I have nothing else to do here, so I'll leave now."

Shizuka sighed, gave the two of them a final glance, and left the room, closing the door behind her.

Yukinoshita Yukino sat silently on one of the chairs.

Tatsuki noticed her inner struggle.

Half-jokingly, he said, "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone about what happened yesterday."

As soon as those words left his mouth, Yukinoshita Yukino immediately lost her composure.

"Encountering something that terrifying and having that kind of reaction is a completely normal physiological response. Please, Tatsuki-kun, don't say anything unnecessary."

No matter how much she tried to explain, Yukino couldn't hide her bright red earlobes or the tight clench of her delicate fists.

After all, being seen in such an embarrassing moment—wetting herself out of fear—was truly mortifying!

Tatsuki thought this side of Yukino was rather cute, much better than her usual cold demeanor.

Noticing his amused gaze, Yukino felt both ashamed and annoyed, yet there was nothing she could do about it.

Taking a deep breath, she tried her best to calm down and then asked the question that had been on her mind.

With a serious and complex expression, she asked, "Can you tell me what that… monster was?"

Tatsuki glanced at her and responded flatly, "Sometimes, ignorance is bliss."

Those who couldn't see malevolent spirits were the fortunate ones.

Yukino was smart and understood what he meant.

Biting her lip and clenching her fists tightly, she wasn't willing to give up.

"But I want to know!"

Tatsuki waved her off and said nonchalantly, "I don't plan to tell you. I have my reasons."

His decision wasn't just to protect Yukino but also because of the implications of the Apocalypse.

"But I…"

She was about to say more when her words were suddenly interrupted.

[Do you want to understand the meaning of life?]

[YES or YES?]

A strange voice and text appeared in front of her.

"Did you see that?"

Tatsuki's voice came from nearby, asking Yukino.

He saw the same message in front of him and noticed that Yukino was staring at something similar.

"You see it too? What is this?" Yukino asked, her face full of confusion.

Tatsuki shook his head and quickly analyzed the situation.

"I don't know. It doesn't give a refusal option. Just pick one and adapt to the situation."

Understanding that the world was riddled with apocalyptic factors, he didn't believe this was a joke.

He chose "YES."

The next moment.

A feeling of weightlessness swept over him.

When he opened his eyes again, he found himself in a dilapidated classroom.

Before he could take a closer look, another message popped up.
