This boost in intelligence meant that an [Arcane Burst] would do [-200] damage every hit, which would help her power her way through to the next stage of the game.

However, at this moment, she could feel the weight of the fatigue on her mind and so she decided to log out and sleep before the safety features would force a shut down. And in doing so, they would forcefully limit the screen time of the VR to ensure the health of all players.

Probably implemented to stop lawsuits arguing that it's addictive. Logging out, on the street where Luton's house was situated, she was greeted by her dark green walls accented with gold.

She groggily got out of her bed in order to go brush her teeth and the collapsed back into it letting herself be overcome with her exhaustion. A couple hours later, she was woken up by the ringing of her phone.

Picking it up, she saw that she had countless missed calls and messages from her aunt, inquiring about how she was doing after her mother's passing. Which was about 2 months ago.

Her aunt, named Jane was a free woman. The only way to really describe her. About half a year ago, she had decided to quit the modern world and live by herself in a forest and it seemed that she was now back. And had recieved the news of her sister's passing.

Elya replied back that she was doing fine and that she'd ask for help if she needed it. Pushing herself out of bed, she went to the bathroom to wash herself and have a shower.

After her scalding shower, she went downstairs to make herself some food. Looking around, she noticed that she only had some eggs and bread, so she decided to have toast and eggs for breakfast, despite it being 4pm.

Eating her food, she browsed the game forums to see if anyone had reached the main game. Seeing people on the brink of level 9, she knew she had to speed up and just rush levels to not fall behind in the main game.

Lately, she had been fascinated by other bloodlines and magic types. Looking through Lillia's vods, who started with the Holy Wand. She saw that she was also Level 9 and was about to level up.

Lillia had an Innate holy magic from her bloodline as well as Angel Wings. Which confused Elya since she was her counterpart yet she didn't have Innate Unholy Magic. This holy magic gave Lillia the ability to heal, shield and purify people. Despite the fact it seemed only supportive, her purification abilities had crazy damage, especially towards demons or undead.

Scrolling through, she saw someone else who had done the quest for Innate Arcane Magic except theirs was classed as [Titan] and was a Extraordinary Trait while her [Demonic] one was only unique. That was not much of a surprise, since she counted around ten different Demonic bloodlines which were all classed as unique, uncommon or common.

After finishing her food and drinking some water, she got back into her bed to play some more Ascended. Putting on her golden-decorated VR helmet, she heard the monotone voice of the AI as she clicked log in.

Appearing in shimmers of light, on the street where the mage's house was located. She headed off into the town looking for quests, hopefully ones that required her to hunt beasts as she would gain exp for killing them. Walking through the cobbled streets, she recieved a notification from the system, which she checked.

Searching through her interface, she saw a red +1 symbol over friend requests which may as well have had dust over it with how much she ignored it. Clicking on it, she saw that Cherry had requested to be her friend, debating what to do she decided to just accept it as she had to speak to her anyway.

As soon as she accepted it, she heard ringing and answered the voice call with Cherry.

"Hey Elya, did you know that there's this weirdo who's not very happy about your bloodline?" Cherry said the second she answered the call.

"Yeah, I'm aware. Can you do me a favour and keep my bloodline to yourself please." The black-haired girl responded to her question.

"Of course I will, just message me if you need any help with these freaks." The freckled girl offered, her tone light.

"Will do." Elya said with a smile, ending the call as she approached an middle-aged woman with a quest.
