Chapter 7: Chapter 7
Summoning her wings which had no mana cost, it felt like she had not been able to walk for a long time and now she could. Stunning feathery wings of white, black and grey surrounded her vision and almost instinctivly she took flight.
Flapping them, she soared under the light of dawn, cold air brushing past her face making Elya felt truly alive for the first time in a long while soaring in the air, her vast wings gleaming over the rising sun. Slowly, she descended in the ratsfield, catching the attention of several rats in the distance.
With a singular cast of [Feather storm] the three approaching rats all died within three seconds since they were all level 1, with only 150 health.

Looking at her wings, she saw a noticable amount of feathers had been used in the skill, due to it her wings slowly began absorbing back into her skin, for a second it felt like her organs were squished together to make room for them. But it vanished seconds later.
Thankfully, she hadn't flown too far from the town, so she walked back to it, in hopes to find a quest, to speed up leveling. A distant yell caught her attention.
"PLAYER 46" Screeched the strawberry coloured girl. Looking back at her, Elya watched as she dashed towards her with impressive speed. Despite being a good two minute walk away, she ran the distance in about ten seconds instead.
"Hi Cherry" The brown-eyed girl said, a smile tugging at her lips from the other girl's overexcited nature.
"Hey, Elya have you found a bloodline yet? I have the coolest one ever!" She ranted excitedly. Listening as she described her bloodline which was a [Lesser Illusion Butterfly].
"Did you know that Illusion Butterflies are a type of fairy? They are the coolest type too because they work so well with my shadow dagger. No enemy sees me coming. Its rated as a Unique Bloodline, it's so cool!" She continued her ranting and explaining, making sense why she was so fast as she had most likely devoted a decent amount of her stat points on speed and agility.
"Oh by the way, you have two massive holes in the back of your starter armour, luckily it knits itself back together over time isn't it? Imagine having to pay for new ones? Have you seen the market in the town its so expensive." Asking so many questions but not waiting for a response was a whiplash as Elya opened her mouth to try and speak several times but the energetic girl didn't seem to notice.
"Anyway what's your bloodline?" Cherry said, finally giving Elya some time to speak. Debating over whether she should tell the truth, she came to a decision quite simply. Why bother lying?
"I have a Extraordinary Bloodline called [Lesser Fallen Angel]" 'Okay maybe a little lie' She thought to herself.
"Really? I thought I was lucky damn. That's why your shirt had holes in your back? Wings right? I swear I saw a tattoo on your back as well." The freckled women questioned, speaking way to quickly for anyone to keep up.
"Yes it was" Elya answered, as they neared the town, making their way onto its cobbled path.
"I don't have wings yet, this isn't fair! Anyway, I have to go log out now, its nearly 3am. Have fun." The topic change was suprising, but she said her goodboys to the other girl and watched her log out the second they entered the safe zone.
'Another brief, strange interaction with that girl.' She noted. The sun was now a 1/4th of the way up the sky, lighting the town in its golden gleam. As she walked through the town, seeing many NPC's get up and began their daily chores, she began asking around to see if anyone needed help with anything.
A sweet farm boy, maybe around ten years old needed help collecting chicken eggs because as he vowed 'chicken's didn't like him.' That quest awarded her 100 exp and five chicken eggs which she could sell in the market.
Walking through the market, she saw countless colourful stalls each selling and buying something different. Walking towards a stall, where a muscled middle-aged man was selling animal products, she sold the five eggs she got given for 10 bronze coins a egg.
The money system consisted of bronze, gold and silver coins. A hundred in each made one coin of the next, for example a hundred bronze coins made a singular silver one.
Looking at all the stalls, she saw potions, weapons and armour being sold to the players. Health potions which restored health at a faster rate, mana potions which did the same. Daggers, knives, staffs.
Most people knew not to buy the weapons, since the developers want you to leave the Starter towns as quickly as possible your starter wepaon infinitly scales with your stats, but other weapons dont. It's why she can now do [-152] with a singular [Arcane Burst] because the spell's damage is linked to the starter weapon and without it equipped, she wouldn't be able to use the spell.
So why bother buying other weapons when your starter weapon will outpace it every time, unless your buying it for when they get nerfed out of the starter town but your bound to instantly find a better option anyway. And if she doesn't well her wings are supposedly able to shred the armour of anything her level right?
