Avatar: Tower Master

Standing on the docks, Me, Goshen and fifteen high level climbers waited to watch as the warships dropped smaller boats into the water loading them with people most could not see from this distance.

Fortunately for him Goshen had been leveling intensely since getting notice of the fire lords' arrival. With my help of course. There is no doubt that Goshen is now stronger than Fire Lord, though by how much it is hard to tell never having seen the man. 

"He is on the third boat" I said leaning over towards Goshen. 

"Thanks', I am just hoping nobody does something stupid, this man is the literal figurehead of the war" he said though I could tell he meant the opposite. 

"Nobody can prevent him from entering the tower, remember that" I said harshly. 

Watching as the fire ship arrived, fire nation soldiers stepped off the boat and stood at the sides of the dock. Then the second boat arrived doing much the same, though surprisingly some servants began dusting and cleaning the dirty dock. 

"A little over the top don't you think?" I asked Goshen. 

"Their nobles, what else would you expect" he replied. 

"Honestly this is hilarious" I said as a servant began scrubbing the deck. 

"True, I didn't think they were so fragile," Goshen replied. 

"Their nobles, what else would you expect?" I said, repeating his words back to him. 

"Do you think he will be mad at your proposal?"

"Maybe, it could have saved him the trip"

"And if he denies it?" 

"I'll just drop the gate on his city" 

"Why don't you do that to Ba Sing Se?"

"More trouble than it's actually worth" 

Finally, the third boat arrived; this one was considerably nicer. Docking at the dock, the servants and soldiers stepped to this side making a royal procession. Soon two figures stepped from the boat. The first was a man with long black hair going down his back at the top of his head. An extravagant hairpin kept some hair up. He wore a black, red, and gold cloak bearing the fire nation symbol. The second was quite a bit shorter and younger. Wearing similar clothes, the young woman had her hair tied up into a hairpin that looked like the symbol for fire except for two strings of hair framing her face. 

"Didn't expect the princess to come," Goshen said. 

"Same" I agreed "Figured he had more important things for her to do" 

Having given everyone instructions on how to act, the Fire Lord arrived in front of us and everyone bowed a bit. Excluding me of course.

Giving me a frown Ozai introduced himself "I am Fire Lord Ozai, and you are?"

Giving him a smirk I answered, "I am Callum Master of the Tower" Then I gestured to Goshen. 

"I am the adventurers Guild Master Goshen" He said, looking Ozai in the eye. 

Giving Goshen a frown Ozai gestured to his left "This is my daughter Azula" 

Stepping forward Azula said "Pleased to meet you Tower Master Goshen" only greeting me. 

Stepping forward Goshen suggested "Why don't we go to your manor and discuss business" 

Looking Goshen in the eye Ozai said "Alright, lets" 

The fire nation soldiers surrounded us as we walked through the town about halfway through, something happened. A rock hits Ozai's cloak, turning to his side he saw a teenager with another rock reared back ready to throw. 

"Guard's capture him," Ozai commanded. 

The guards started rushing at the frightened boy, but Goshen was faster. Arriving in front of the guards he made a stand. 

"Stop," he commanded. 

"Move, we have orders to arrest him" A guard said, trying to step past Goshen.

Seeing his intent Goshen raised his hand and lightning cracked over his fingered "Move and you get shocked" 

Ozai was staring at Goshen's hand.

 "He attacked the Fire Lord," a soldier said. 

"I suggest you leave the boy alone," I said, joining Goshen with the boy. I was surprised Azula was being so quiet. 

"Or what?" the same guard challenged. 

"Leave the boy alone, we are too busy to deal with commoners" Ozai commanded. 

"Yes, my lord" the guard said, getting back into formation. 

Joining the guards we made our way to the manor. Once we arrived we went inside and all sat down in the study in the east wing. 

"How did you use lightning, my sources say you aren't a bender of any kind" Ozai started off. 

"I am not a bender, I am a battle mage, it is a class allowing me to use attack spells of an elemental nature" Goshen answered. 

"And you go to this class through the tower?" Ozai asked. 

"Yes," Goshen replied. 

"How many elements?" Ozai inquired. 

"All four elements as well as just my mana" Goshen replied. 

Scoffing Azula said arrogantly "So you are claiming to be the avatar?" 

This time it was me who replied "No, he is not the avatar. A mage is someone who uses the fundamental energy of the world to create magic" 

"Magic" Azula asked skeptically. 

"Magic can take many forms for a battle mage; it is in the form of the elements, for a druid they may be able to transform their own bodies into animals. It can even be crystallized into a stone" I explained, pulling out a mana stone and handing it to Azula. 

Taking it from Azula, Ozai inspected the stone "This is magic?"

"One form of it," I answered. 

"I would like to enter the tower," Ozai instructed standing up. 

"Not yet, first I have a proposal for you"

Staring back at me Ozai asked "A proposal" 

Waiting for him to sit down I explained "I have created a certain magic structure that will allow people in the fire nation to come into the tower without having to make the journey" 

"What kind of structure?" he inquired. 

Nodding to Goshen he pulled out the blueprints and spread them on the table. Ozai finally sat back down and ruffled through the documents. 

"It is called a gate" I started "It will allow instantaneous transportation from your land to the tower" 

"Father he is obviously lying" Azula spoke up. 

"Quite child" Ozai said harshly "This is quite large how do you propose we get it there" 

"I can transport it at anytime" 

"Then I would like for one to be put in the capital at my palace"

"I will not do that" 

Standing from her seat Azula yelled "How dare you defy your Fire Lord; this tower is on fire nation…" 

Before she could continue, I turned to Ozai saying, "I would control your child, or she will lose her bending". Technically I can't force someone to give up their bending, but the class change stone will allow them to do it, albeit with some consequences. 

Soughing Azula said "As If you could" 

Standing up I used my transformation ability to change my appearance from one person to another. Till I finally landed on Ursa making both Azula and Ozai's eyes widen. 

"I can do anything I wish," I replied. 

Before Azula could respond Ozai stood up and gripped her shoulder harshly.

"Leave while you still have some dignity" Ozai commanded. Azula stormed out of the room slamming the door behind her. Sitting back down Ozai asked "Why can't you do what I asked"

Didn't expect he could be so amiable, but I guess to rule a nation you have to at least have some tact.

"One of the rules of the tower is that you can't prevent someone from entering, and this is something that I enforce as well as the tower itself. If I put it near your palace, you will have people coming and going all hours of the day. There is a reason the tower is still a bit away from the town" 

Giving me a frown he answered "Then I will have a spot made for its" 

"I also have to warn you that attacking people in the tower is prohibited if you do you will lose access to your abilities gained from the tower" 

"I will keep that in mind" 

This time Goshen spoke up "It is also required that after your first time in the tower you register with the adventurer's guild" 

"Is that necessary?" Ozai asked. 

"Yes, for everyone's protection as well as regulation of exports everyone needs to sign up with the guild, even nobles and royals" Goshen explained. 

Speaking up I said "Goshen here as was said is the Guild Master he heads the entire organization and is one of the strongest people in the world currently" 

"Well, I will have to make the trip then" Ozai said arrogantly "For now I have some business to go over concerning your gate, a guard will show you out" he said gesturing to a nearby guard. 

"I do have one last question" I asked getting his attention "I just want to know how Zhao is doing" 

Thinking for a second Ozai answered saying "most recently he has been at the fire nation royal academy training a group of men specifically for your tower" 

"Interesting" I said, not believing it. 

"Now I have some business to attend to," Ozai said, gesturing to the door. 

Me and Goshen followed the guard outside the manor, passing by the training grounds I was greeted with Azula doing some acrobatic moves throwing fire around. Eventually we left the manor and made our way back to the guild building. 

"That was interesting" Goshen said "I didn't expect him to be so polite" 

"I expect my little show of transformation startled him, after all the last face was his former wife" I explained. 

"What?" Goshen asked. 

"It's also what made Azula a bit aggressive there" I explained. 

"How do you think he will do in the tower" 

"Pretty well, he is one of the strongest firebenders in the world, I just hope he doesn't start burning down my floors".
