Everyone present wore expressions of shock as they witnessed Unohana's Shikai in action.
Despite her Reiatsu being utterly extraordinary, how long had it been since she first wielded her sealed Zanpakutō? Just over half a year! Mastering Shikai in such a short period was nothing less than miraculous—something almost unheard of.
And yet, Unohana had done it.
The crowd stared at her Shikai manifestation—a massive, light-green devilfish gliding beside her, glowing softly with spiritual energy. Expressions turned even more peculiar as realization dawned: this was a biological-type Zanpakutō!
This meant Aaron wasn't just fighting Unohana. He would now have to contend with two formidable opponents simultaneously.
But instead of panic, Aaron maintained a calm, almost amused demeanor, his relaxed expression catching many off guard.
"Even if you're talented, you shouldn't be this overconfident," murmured an onlooker.
"I wonder... does Aaron have a Shikai of his own?"
"Unlikely. At this rate, Unohana's chances of winning are over 90%!"
"Closer to 95%, if you ask me."
Unohana's gaze grew serious as she addressed Aaron. "With your talent, achieving Shikai shouldn't be too difficult. Or am I wrong?"
Aaron chuckled lightly and replied, "You overestimate me, Unohana. Unfortunately, I don't even know my Zanpakutō's name yet. But... thank you for the concern." He glanced briefly at the sealed Zanpakutō in his hand, then shrugged.
Unohana's expression turned resolute. "Even so, I won't hold back! Minazuki—attack!"
At her command, the giant devilfish surged forward, its murderous aura palpable as it charged at Aaron.
Thanks to his heightened perception and strategic foresight, Aaron anticipated Minazuki's movements. With the enhanced vision granted by his abilities, each shift in the devilfish's trajectory seemed like a slowed-down reel of possibilities.
At the same time, Aaron utilized his sensory skills to scan Unohana's Reiatsu levels. He smirked internally upon confirming that, while incredibly powerful, her Reiatsu still fell slightly short of his own.
"Guess I should thank that Menos Grande from earlier," he mused. "Without it, I might not have surpassed her Reiatsu."
As the devilfish lunged at him with its gaping maw, Aaron executed several bursts of Shunpo in quick succession, dodging the attack with ease. Unohana, not one to relent, followed up with her own precise movements, closing in on him with blinding speed.
The two fighters clashed, their immense Reiatsu crackling through the air as they darted around the martial arts field, appearing and vanishing in a flurry of movement.
When Minazuki and Unohana finally cornered Aaron, the crowd erupted in gasps of awe and dismay.
"It's over! Aaron's lost!"
"With all his escape routes blocked, this fight is done!"
"What an incredible match, though! But what a pity…"
Aaron, however, remained unflustered. At some point, he had sheathed his Zanpakutō, and now, twin flames—bright and crimson—began to flicker in his hands.
The sight gave Unohana pause, but her resolve only deepened.
"Minazuki, finish him!" she commanded, her tone unyielding as she vanished in another burst of Shunpo.
But Aaron was already prepared. With deliberate precision, he raised his hands, one aiming at the devilfish and the other at Unohana herself.
"BOOM!"
A massive explosion resounded as a net of flames erupted, ensnaring the devilfish in a web of crimson fire. Simultaneously, a volley of fireballs arced through the air, intercepting Unohana mid-motion.
Despite her agility, Unohana could not completely evade the attack. Forced to block with a hastily conjured Bakudō #8: Seki, she managed to deflect the fireballs but was sent hurtling backward by the sheer force of the blast, landing over ten meters away.
The spectators were left dumbfounded.
"He's using Hadō #31: Shakkahō... but what's that fire net? Could it be Bakudō #12: Fushibi?"
"And he used them both without incantations! How is that even possible?"
"Wait… could that be double incantation abandonment?! That's a level of Kidō mastery only captains can achieve!"
Even the vice-dean on the high platform was visibly shaken. "Incredible... he's managed to use both techniques simultaneously! This level of skill…"
The middle-aged Shinigami standing beside him muttered, "It's unreal. This young man isn't just talented—he's a prodigy. I've never seen anything like it."
Back in the arena, Unohana struggled to regain her footing, her devilfish ensnared and roaring in frustration. Before she could act, Aaron's presence suddenly loomed behind her.
"Unohana," he said calmly, his sealed Zanpakutō now shimmering with an overwhelming surge of Reiatsu. "What do you think of my nameless blade now?"
Before she could respond, a single strike from his Zanpakutō sent her flying out of the arena.
