Chapter 7: Training part2

[You have level up]

[Congratulations! You have reached level one. Gain skill: Basic detection]

As the zombie's body went limp blood stained his body, Matt was surprised when several blue letters flashed in his sight.

In the end, the 19-year-old was so shocked that he stood there in a daze.

"Congratulations on officially entering the path to power." Karl's voice snapped him out of his surprise. He looked at him and asked, "I did?"

Karl face became of irritation seeing the guy's dumbfounded face. In a serious voice, he said, "If it wasn't you who did it, then who was it?"

"I did it... I did it! Hahaha! I finally killed my first zombie!" Matt shouted without caring whether he attracted more zombie or not.

Krass looked at Matt thought that the man became stupid jumping and shouting as he celebrated on killing an easy prey. Karl patted him and simply looked at Matt but did not stop him. This guy was not only expressing his joy, but he was also shouting to shake off the lingering fear that still remained in him.

Matt suddenly ran forward and picked up a white scroll that had fallen from the zombie. Although he hesitated for a moment after knowing what it was, he gritted his teeth and walked toward Karl as he said, "B-Boss, this skill, I give it to you."

Karl ears twitch when he picked up Matt words, liking the word boss. He picked up the scroll in a daze. He definitely did not expect this move, said "you'll give this to me?"

[Stealth: Erases your presence to some extent while weakening your body smell and the sound of your heart. It costs magic power to activate and consume stamina per minute to keep activated].

"I don't need it. You use it." Karl handed the scroll back to him and shook his head.

"Don't worry, boss. Although my family may be poor, my parents taught me values. Favor with favor is repaid, and this favor is so great that I will never forget it!" Matt clenched the skill scroll and looked at Karl with eyes brimming with gratitude.

Not only had Karl given him the courage he needed to fight, but he also spoke to him with respect and had even allowed him to keep a supernatural skill like the one in his hands. In this world where the strong devoured and fed on the weak, a skill, as useless as it seemed, was no different than possessing another life-saving source in times of need.

As he happily jumping, little did he know that simply didn't want the skill.

"Let the other level up as well. Also, I advise you to add your status points to Agility and Stamina. That way, with your Stealth skill, you could become a terrific assassin." Karl gently patted his shoulder and advised honestly.

Without hesitation, Matt wished to learn the skill just as Karl had told him. Then, he returned to the group with his back straight.

The teacher which his name is Patrick walked forward and killed a zombie which drop a longsword, Leah went next a the zombie drop a skill called [Wind blade], Trish, the girl with freckles was next and as expected drop a pair of gauntlet.

Seeing that all the group first kill drop a skill or equipment, Karl thought 'First kill has a guaranteed drop loot'

"Since, you have all reach level one. You guys should hunt zombies for yourself without me entervinieng, unless you are in danger" Karl said, as the group was filled with determination.

The group neared a pharmacy and decided to loot it, as they can use alcohol for sanitizing wounds.

While advancing, Krass suddenly felt a strange movement to the left side. He immediately tackled with all his might in that direction.

"Roar!"

The enemy roared in pain and was sent flying several meters away.

Although it was only for a split second. Karl managed to see the silhouette of his enemy before sending it flying, as he all immediately cast [curse of slow, curse of lethargy, curse of weakness] before it disappeared.

The enemy was a cat the size of a leopard.

"Shit, that sounded more like a lion's roar than a cat's meow." Karl was stupefied. His four teammate neared Karl, as they relied on Krass location where the enemy is.

Swoosh!

Almost five minutes after standing in the same place without moving, a practically imperceptible swooshing sound was heard, however, Krass instinct prepared to leap seemingly aware where the cat is.

In a split second, two blood-red eyes appeared in front of Karl as it opened it's mouth towards his neck with the intention of killing him immediately.

But before the cat could attack Karl, Krass appeared to it's side and biting it's neck, killing it on the spot.

Karl stunned from fear woke up, coldly looked at the body of the Cat which Krass was still biting making sure it was dead.

'This my first time seeing an enemy that is not a zombie' Karl thought, the group look at curiously.

After making sure there was no danger nearby, Karl crouched down and picked up a white box that had fallen from the monster's body before quickly putting it away in his backpack.

Karl opened the box which he saw inside was a pair of boots.

[Velocity Boots: Extremely light, easy to wear, and automatically adapts to the body. When equipped.

Agility +10]

Karl wear the boots and continued moving towards his destination.

After another five minutes in which more than twenty zombies perished by Karl's group, he finally saw the small building where medicines and other medical-related items were kept.
