Chapter 8: 8) Ash's Phone
Ash would not stop fussing over me. Even after the red handprint faded. It was just like I thought, no bruises. Though we got to his place without incident.
When I say his place I mean actually his place.
When he turned 18 his parents gave him his own house. Three floors plus an attic and a basement. Fully furnished house. Benefits of being a single child and sole heir to… I don't actually know what.
Hold on, what is it that his family actually does? I know it's old money. I feel like I've been told before. It's probably really boring. Like stocks and bonds, boring. That must be why I don't remember. Ah well I'll ask later.
We went inside. "Do you need to lay down? Are you sure you're okay?" He asked me yet again. It's actually getting kind of annoying.
I throw my backpack on the couch in the living room. "Yeah, let's do something fun." I say trying yet again to divert his attention.
He sighed, opting to drop his backpack on the floor rather than the couch. "Okay. Let's just go up and play video games. I got that new space game. It's actually a co-op game so this is perfect. You go on up and I'll grab some snacks."
Oh yes, food. I'm actually hungry now that I think about it. "Okay, I'll get things started upstairs."
I went to the second floor to the first room on the left. This room was filled with the newest and latest gaming systems. As well as some of the old stuff. Well this is nostalgic.
What even was the last time I've played a game? It's really been a long time. I stopped because Lexi…. Ah her again.
Lexi really is a terrible person. I knew that. I should have known she was going to be the death of me. A part of me just wants to kill her. The other… do I even deserve such a violent revenge?
I could say she led me on and she did. Though I let her lead me on knowing what kind of person she is.
What she did was very wrong. Though she also hasn't done a lot of her worser stuff in this timeline. She doesn't even have the chance.
That's the most conflicting thing. She isn't a nice person. Certainly not to me. Though my only grievance was my murder. I more or less brought everything else on myself.
So I don't have a justification for killing her. Plus, killing her would make me as bad as her.
I pushed my thoughts aside and powered up the devices. Okay I remember how this works.
Ash came up after some time and we spent a couple hours playing the new space game. It was a first person shooter. So, I kind of get completely carried by Ash. Though he didn't mind at all. After a couple hours we stopped and headed downstairs to make dinner.
An idea finally occurred to me. It's kind of bugging me that I don't know if he's the stalker type. His whole speech on my deathbed gave me total creeper vibes.
Though not necessarily stalker. Though I don't actually know and although I don't have to, I really want to know for sure. "Hey Ash, can I use your phone? Mine sucks."
At this point I was sitting on the bar stool while Ash cooks. At this point in time, my cooking skills were mediocre. Ash therefore insists that he cook since he wants to keep both of our taste buds intact, while also avoiding food poisoning.
Ash hesitates for a second but hands it over. I grab it then spend a second unsure of what to do. Right Yandere usually takes pictures when they're stalking. I went to look at his photos. I immediately found normal photos.
I was in some of them but nothing creepy. However I found a rather sizable locked file. I clicked on it and a password entry showed up. I paused. Well if it's yandere shit then the most obvious password would be something related to me.
Following the logic of every book and movie ever I put in my birthday. It immediately unlocked. It was a file full of pictures and videos of me. I swiped through them.
All the pictures looked wrong but for a reason I couldn't put my finger on. Then I swiped to one with me in the school bathroom. The reason hit me. I couldn't see the photographer in the mirror.
The photo was clearly taken from behind me however I was the only one in the photo.
No one was looking at the camera even when the angle was really low or really high. The photographer was completely ignored. That meant these were all taken from hidden cameras.
I was dumbfounded.
Though I kept going through them. The pictures weren't just of me at school. Also at work and just out on the street. One in particular got me.
I was just walking in the street. In the reflection of a truck passing by was the photographer. Someone I have no memory of. Their faces were plain as day in the photo. Though I honestly have no clue who that man is.
The most alarming thing…I was looking right at the person in the photo.
My heart was accelerating. I knew this was a possibility though I never expected him to take it to this degree. I have no idea what to do.
After a small amount of contemplation I decided to act as if I knew nothing. I've made my decision.
I walked into this knowing this was a possibility. I can't back down now. I left the photos. I noticed a couple strange apps though I ignored them.
So what if he stalks me. Everyone has their quirks.
