Danmachi: Bell Gojo through the fictional Multiverse

Chapter 120: The Tournament of destroyers

The Travel Cube hovered gently atop the serene expanse of Beerus' World, with Whis standing gracefully atop it, staff in hand. The fighters and their families filed into the cube, the atmosphere brimming with a mix of excitement and anticipation. Inside, the luxurious interior shimmered with the ethereal glow of Whis' magic, a perfect blend of comfort and sophistication.

Bell leaned against a window, gazing out at the stars as they zipped past. His mind drifted to his recent breakthroughs, particularly his mastery of the Ultra Ego form. The form, powered by Destroyer Ki, was unlike anything he had experienced before. Unlike Ultra Instinct, which required calm and fluidity, Ultra Ego thrived on the chaos of battle, growing stronger the more damage he took.

The potential combinations it allowed were overwhelming:

Super Saiyan Purple combined the destructive aura of Ultra Ego with the raw power of a Super Saiyan.

Legendary Super Saiyan Purple tapped into his Legendary Blue form, amplifying his destructive potential to terrifying levels.

TUI-Purple blended the instinctual movements of Ultra Instinct with the brutal ferocity of Ultra Ego.

Bell smirked to himself. If anyone thought power levels were a measure of strength, they'd be in for a rude awakening. Quantifying his power had become meaningless; his abilities now depended entirely on how he utilized them in the heat of battle.

The cube was lively with chatter. Bulma and Chi-Chi were seated together, discussing the strange mix of excitement and worry that came with traveling to another universe. Linger and Goten played a card game in one corner, while Vegeta sat brooding nearby, arms crossed, his mind undoubtedly focused on strategies for the tournament.

Even Broly, despite his quiet nature, seemed at ease, seated with Goku and Piccolo, who were attempting to explain the finer points of tournament rules to him.

Bell turned his attention to the others and chuckled softly. "Relax, everyone. This is going to be a breeze. You've all trained hard for this."

Bulma rolled her eyes playfully. "Easy for you to say, Mr. Multiversal Powerhouse. Some of us are just here for moral support."

Chi-Chi smirked. "Speak for yourself, Bulma. I'm here to see Goku kick some butt. And maybe land a punch or two myself, if they let me."

The Travel Cube eventually slowed as it approached a massive structure floating in a boundless void. The Tournament Arena, a creation of Whis and Vados, was a marvel of cosmic architecture. The circular stage gleamed under the light of distant stars, its surface inscribed with intricate patterns of energy designed to absorb and disperse even the most devastating attacks.

As the cube landed, the fighters and their families stepped out, marveling at the sheer scale of the arena. Standing at the edge of the platform were Vados and Champa, who turned to greet them.

"Welcome, Universe 7," Vados said, her voice as graceful as her demeanor.

Bell was already at her side, offering a charming smile. "It's always nice to see you, Vados. Though, I must admit, your beauty puts even this arena to shame."

Vados blinked, her composed demeanor faltering for a moment as a blush crept across her cheeks. She giggled softly, a rare break from her usually stoic nature. "You flatter me, Bell. But I hope you've brought more than compliments for this tournament."

Bell smirked. "You'll see soon enough."

Champa scowled, glaring at the two. "Enough flirting! We're here to fight, not play games!"

Whis stepped forward, his staff glowing as he conjured a massive holographic projection above the arena. The rules of the tournament appeared, written in glowing script.

"The tournament will proceed as follows," Whis began:

Five Fighters Per Team: Each universe will field five warriors.

No Killing: While combat will be fierce, fatalities are strictly prohibited.

Ring-Outs Count as Defeats: Falling off the arena means elimination.

Time Limit: Battles will be timed, ensuring that strategy plays as much of a role as raw power.

Super Dragon Balls as the Prize: The winning universe will be awarded all seven Super Dragon Balls.

The crowd murmured their approval, the excitement palpable.

Whis waved his staff, and the arena shimmered with energy, its surface glowing faintly as it adjusted to the upcoming battles. "Now then, fighters, take your positions and prepare yourselves. The tournament will begin shortly."

Bell exchanged glances with his team, his confidence unshaken. "Let's show them what Universe 7 is made of."

Goku grinned, his excitement mirroring Bell's. "Oh, I've been waiting for this!"

Vegeta smirked, his Saiyan pride burning bright. "Don't think I'll let you steal the spotlight, Kakarot. Or you, Bell."

Broly simply nodded, his resolve firm, while Gotlinger cracked their knuckles, their dual voices echoing in unison. "Let's do this!"

As the fighters took their places, the stage was set for a battle that would shake the very fabric of the multiverse.
