Danmachi: Bell Gojo through the fictional Multiverse

Chapter 121: The Test before battle

Before the first punches could be thrown or energy blasts exchanged, the combatants of Universe 6 and Universe 7 found themselves seated at long, gleaming desks, each equipped with a holographic pad.

"Before we begin the tournament," Vados announced, her voice calm yet firm, "all fighters must complete a written test to ensure they possess the minimum intellectual capacity required to participate in such an important event. These questions will measure logic, knowledge, and problem-solving skills."

Goku raised a hand like a schoolboy. "Uh, do we really have to do this? Can't we just fight already?"

Whis smiled, tapping his staff on the ground. "Patience, Goku. This test ensures the dignity of the competition. After all, it wouldn't do for a universe to be represented by someone who can't even solve basic problems."

Vegeta scowled. "This is ridiculous."

Bell chuckled, leaning back in his seat. "Relax. It's just a test. How hard could it be?"

The holographic pads lit up, displaying a series of questions. The fighters groaned collectively, realizing this wasn't going to be as simple as they thought.

AN: Answer the Questions alongside the characters, let's make this a Quiz for all. Tell me in the comments how many You got right, Be fair and compare your answers with those Below, when there's multiple responses, tell me which Question and what you said, I'll try tell you if it's correct or not.

Question 1: Logic Puzzle

A farmer needs to get a wolf, a goat, and a cabbage across a river. He can only take one at a time in his boat. If he leaves the wolf with the goat, the wolf will eat the goat. If he leaves the goat with the cabbage, the goat will eat the cabbage. How can he get them all across safely?

Question 2: Combat Strategy

You're in a battle where your opponent can perfectly predict your movements. What would be your best strategy to counter this ability?

Question 3: Physics of Energy Blasts

If you fire an energy blast with a power level of 10,000 at a target 1 kilometer away, and the energy dissipates at a rate of 1% per 100 meters, what is the effective power level upon hitting the target?

Question 4: Saiyan Biology

Question 7: Ethical Dilemma

If destroying a planet would save an entire galaxy from annihilation, but the planet was inhabited by intelligent life, would you do it? Justify your answer.

As the fighters submitted their answers, the results came in almost immediately.

Bell scored a perfect 100%, breezing through the test with ease.

Vegeta managed a solid 90%, muttering about how some of the questions were "stupid."

Gohan, unsurprisingly, scored a near-perfect 98%, proving once again why he was considered the scholar of Universe 7.

Goku, to everyone's shock, scored a respectable 75%, barely passing but leaving him grinning triumphantly. "See? I told you I'm not as dumb as you think!"

Broly, with some difficulty, managed a 60%, just scraping by. His simple and honest answers won him a few laughs.

Gotlinger aced the test with a 95%, combining Goten's creativity and Linger's strategic thinking.

Hit scored an impressive 92%, his assassin instincts lending themselves well to problem-solving.

Cabba matched Gohan with a 98%, proving his Saiyan intelligence.

Frost and Magetta scored 85% and 80%, respectively.

Botamo, however, barely passed with a 55%, much to Champa's chagrin.

As the tests concluded, Vados smiled serenely. "Well done, everyone. You've all passed, and the tournament may now proceed."

Goku cheered. "Finally! Let's get to the real fun!"

Vegeta rolled his eyes. "Don't act like you weren't sweating through that test, Kakarot."

Bell smirked, watching as the arena's energy began to shimmer in preparation for the upcoming battles. He glanced at Vados, his eyes twinkling. "Looks like we're ready. This is going to be fun."

Vados chuckled, her earlier blush still faintly visible. "Indeed, Bell. But don't underestimate Universe 6. They have some surprises in store."

As the fighters took their places, the stage was set for a tournament that would determine the fate of two universes.

Here are the Solutions for the Test, try to see how many you got right(Comment your Number out of 7 questions):

Finally, take the goat across again.

Q2:

(Many Options)

Use unpredictability by incorporating feints and creating situations with multiple equally viable actions, forcing your opponent to guess incorrectly.

Q3:

10,000 × 0.90 = 9,000

Q4:

Saiyans possess a unique biological trait known as Zenkai Boost, which triggers rapid adaptation and cellular regeneration following severe injuries, resulting in an increase in power.

Q5:

(Again more options)

Universe 6 Saiyans evolved without tails, whereas Universe 7 Saiyans have tails that allow them to transform into Great Apes.
