Chapter 171: C153(1)

After cutting off communication with Starscream, Bonecrusher made his way toward the tire marks on the ground.

At the same time, he located a nearby map and scanned it briefly. Following the direction of the tire marks, he accessed surveillance footage from a street adjacent to the residential area and spotted a familiar yellow figure.

Through the distinctive color, Bonecrusher identified his target: Bumblebee.

Eventually, he pinpointed a location.

The junkyard.

Excitement surged through him instantly. After lying low on Earth for so long, he finally encountered an Autobot with "battle mindset." For a battle-hardened warrior like Bonecrusher , this was thrilling news.

It was time to fight.

With a thunderous boom, Bonecrusher transformed into an armored vehicle and sped off toward the junkyard.

Along the way, someone noticed the armored vehicle parked in the middle of the road and curiously approached it, blocking its path. The man was about to speak when, without warning, Bonecrusher charged forward.

Boom!

The man's car was struck hard, flipping several times before coming to rest on the road. Only the driver had been inside. Now, he sat slumped in his seat, bloodied and motionless, his face frozen in horror.

Amid the shocked stares of onlookers, the armored vehicle barreled ahead, paying no attention to the chaos it had caused. Within moments, it disappeared from sight.

"Oh, shit!"

The bystanders, stunned, quickly called the police.

Junkyard.

Facing Optimus Prime's questioning, Anton maintained a calm demeanor and replied curtly, "You shouldn't ask me about the AllSpark."

"Understood," Optimus Prime said, his tone neutral.

Before coming here, Optimus had researched Batman, Cyborg, and the Justice League they represented.

He had meticulously studied all available information about them on the Internet. Additionally, he had uncovered the identity of the man backing Batman: John Keller, the Secretary of Defense.

However, the other individuals accompanying Keller remained a mystery. Optimus suspected that uncovering their details would take considerable effort, but he wasn't concerned.

Even if humanity had begun to exhibit abilities beyond what he'd expected, Optimus Prime had unshakable confidence in the power of Cybertron and the Autobots.

After all, the Autobots on Earth weren't the only ones.

Though slightly surprised by the advancements of Earth's inhabitants, Optimus believed that Cybertron's technological superiority and the Autobots' abilities remained unparalleled. Fundamentally, the two were not on the same level.

"Since the AllSpark is in your possession, you must have realized its incredible energy," Optimus Prime said, his voice solemn.

He continued, "I must warn you that Megatron intends to use the AllSpark's power to transform all of Earth's mechanical creations into members of the Decepticon army. His goal is to defeat the Autobots and eventually rule the universe."

"You're saying the Autobots came to Earth to stop him?" Anton asked, though he already knew the answer. He posed the question to ease some of the concerns of Keller and the others behind him.

"Exactly," Optimus Prime replied firmly. "The only way to destroy the AllSpark is to insert it into the heart of a leader from either faction of Transformers."

After a brief pause, Optimus Prime looked at the human before him. With a heavy tone, devoid of any humor, he said, "I am prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice at any time."

Anton frowned, voicing a question that had lingered in his mind since he first watched the Transformers movies. "Why does it have to be your heart or Megatron's? Why not someone else's?"

The idea of destroying the AllSpark by inserting it into the hearts of the faction leaders always seemed symbolic. But did it also mean something deeper? Did it mean both Optimus Prime and Megatron were destined to die?

"Only the energy within our two bodies matches the concentration of the AllSpark," Optimus Prime explained patiently. "No one else possesses the necessary energy to destroy it. If anyone else tries, the AllSpark's power will overwhelm and kill them—it would be a meaningless sacrifice."

"I see."

Anton nodded. Optimus Prime's answer resolved a question he had wondered about for years. But another, more fundamental question remained.

"Since the Autobots' mission is to stop Megatron, why not just destroy him? Why give up everything to destroy the AllSpark instead? Isn't that treating the symptoms instead of curing the disease?"

The room fell silent.

The logic in Anton's words was undeniable. If the goal was to stop Megatron, why focus on destroying the AllSpark, a weapon, instead of eliminating the real threat? Even Batman had commented on the importance of addressing root causes rather than temporary solutions.

Finally, Bumblebee spoke, breaking the silence. "Because Megatron's power is beyond your imagination."

In Bumblebee's eyes, Optimus Prime was a great leader—but standing against him was Megatron, the only other being capable of rivaling his strength.

"A monster," Bumblebee said grimly. "Optimus Prime and Megatron represent the extremes of good and evil, black and white. We've fought Megatron for countless years, yet the damage we've inflicted on him is negligible."

His voice grew deeper, more resolute. "Megatron has an unbreakable will. He never gives up, never falters. It's a trait one might admire in a hero, but his soul is steeped in evil, driven by insatiable ambition. That combination makes him the most terrifying enemy the Autobots have ever faced."

Bumblebee's gaze hardened. "Instead of wasting time dreaming of destroying Megatron, we focus on destroying the AllSpark. If we take it out of the equation, we can thwart his plans for good."

The Autobot's impassioned words painted a vivid picture of Megatron's power, contrasting it with the Autobots' own resilience under Optimus Prime's leadership. The centuries, perhaps millennia, of battles between the two sides were a testament to the strength of their commander.

Anton listened in silence. When Bumblebee finished, he smiled faintly and turned to look at Keller and the others standing behind him, folding his arms across his chest.

"Well, there you have it," Anton said. "Megatron isn't just some simple villain you can deal with easily. If I were you, I'd call back your teams and have them focus on figuring out how to destroy NBE-ONE."

He shrugged, his tone light but cutting. "Of course, if you still believe you can control everything about NBE-ONE, feel free to ignore me."

Keller and Tom exchanged uneasy glances.

From this conversation, they realized that Anton's earlier warnings were true. The alien referred to as Megatron—or NBE-ONE—wasn't just another extraterrestrial. He was the leader of a deadly, evil faction.

And far more dangerous than they had imagined.

The two men did not immediately respond. They planned to report the conversation to the highest levels of government after their exchange with the Autobots concluded.

It would ultimately be up to the president to authorize the joint decision to destroy NBE-ONE.

To be honest, while NBE-ONE held immense research value, its destruction seemed the safest course for Earth.

"NBE-ONE?"

Bumblebee, overhearing the humans, froze momentarily. He realized that his earlier suspicions were likely correct.

"Megatron is under your control?" Bumblebee's mechanical eyes widened as he exclaimed, "You really know where Megatron is!"

"What?"

Optimus Prime was also stunned by Bumblebee's revelation. His gaze shifted sharply between Anton, Keller, Tom, and the Sector 7 agents standing behind them.
