Digital Emperor (Naruto X Digimon)

Chapter 18: Chapter 18

As Naruto approached the rocky area of the Uzumaki residence, he couldn't help but appreciate the serene beauty of the artificial mountain. The landscape, with its towering boulders and jagged cliffs, was designed both for aesthetics and for rigorous physical training. It was a place that had always held a special place in his heart—where he could escape, clear his mind, and focus on improving himself. Today, it was also where he would spend time with his new partner, Asura.

As he walked through the rocky terrain, he summoned Asura, his new Digimon partner. The Candlemon was still young, his data and personality still forming, but there was something about him that Naruto found intriguing. Asura had a calm and collected nature, a stark contrast to the chaos and intensity that often surrounded Naruto's life. Despite his young age, Asura was already proving to be a valuable companion.

Asura materialized beside him, his form flickering slightly as he adjusted to the world outside the Digivice. His glowing yellow body cast a soft light against the dark stone backdrop, and his large, expressive eyes scanned the area, taking in the unfamiliar environment.

"You're awake early," Naruto said with a smile, turning to face his partner. "How are you feeling?"

Asura gave a small nod, his voice soft but steady. "I am... functioning well, Master. I do not feel hunger, as I am provided for by the Digivice."

Naruto chuckled. "Yeah, the Digivice is pretty useful like that. It keeps you fed and makes sure you're well taken care of."

Asura glanced at his master, noticing the subtle change in his demeanor. Naruto seemed... different. Happier, even. The energy around him was lighter, more positive. The last time they had met, Naruto had seemed more serious, more burdened by the weight of his responsibilities. Now, he seemed at ease—content, even.

Asura's thoughts turned to what might be the cause of this change. He had heard the term "mating partners" mentioned a few times in passing conversations, and while he didn't fully understand the concept, he had observed Naruto's interactions with the women around him. He could sense that they brought him comfort, though the details eluded him.

"Does it... make you happy?" Asura asked cautiously, his voice tinged with curiosity. As a Candlemon, he lacked the instincts and desires that many other Digimon might possess. He didn't fully grasp the concept of romantic or physical affection. His focus was on training, learning, and growing stronger—not on emotions of that nature.

Naruto paused at the question, looking at his partner for a moment before responding. "I think it does. It's not just about affection, though," he explained, his tone thoughtful. "It's about connection. It's about having people around you who support you, who make you want to be better. It's not just the physical part—it's everything that comes with it. The trust, the care, and the shared moments. That's what makes me happy."

Asura processed the words carefully. His programming was designed to understand data, logic, and strategy, but this was different. He hadn't experienced emotions in the way Naruto described them, but he could see that it meant something to his master.

"I understand, Master," Asura said quietly. "I will continue to learn and grow. I will protect you, as I am meant to."

As Naruto sat on the large boulder, his legs crossed in a meditative pose, he glanced over at his partner, Asura. The young Candlemon stood a short distance away, his flame flickering brightly as his gaze remained fixed on Naruto, attentively absorbing every word and gesture. There was a subtle, perceptive curiosity in his eyes—an admirable trait in any partner, especially a newly summoned one like Asura.

Naruto observed his partner closely. Asura, though still young and developing, had already shown potential far beyond the typical Candlemon. His energy was different—there was a faint aura of something greater, something stronger. The powers of Yin and Yang were intertwined with Asura's data, making him far from a typical Digimon. His potential to surpass even the likes of Omnimon seemed plausible if nurtured correctly.

Now, do you know what our goal is?" He raised an eyebrow, intrigued to see how much Asura had picked up in the short time they had been together.

Asura tilted his head slightly, his eyes narrowing as he processed the question. "Our goal is to make me Gankoomon," he said confidently. As far as he could tell, that was the only logical conclusion. Gankoomon was a strong and respected figure, and that was the form he was expected to reach, wasn't it?

Naruto nodded, his expression thoughtful. "That's partially our goal. But our real goal is to make you stronger than Omnimon." He watched Asura carefully for his reaction, knowing that the statement would catch him off guard.

Asura blinked in surprise, his flame flickering brighter as he processed the information. His mind began to race as he analyzed the data in his head. Omnimon was one of the strongest Ultimate-level Digimon, a legendary warrior. He was a force to be reckoned with, and even the mighty Gankoomon would have little chance against him. The idea of surpassing Omnimon was beyond ambitious—it seemed almost impossible.

"Is Master crazy or is this exaggerative part of speech? Like, aim for the stars so that we can at least land on the moon?" Asura voiced his confusion, unable to hide the skepticism in his tone.

Naruto laughed heartily, clearly enjoying the bewildered look on Asura's face. "Hahaha, it's not crazy," he replied, his voice light with amusement. "I've been at the top before. It's not all it's cracked up to be. But you're right about one thing: when you aim high, you get results. And trust me, you'll reach it."

Asura didn't respond immediately, but he remained silent, waiting for Naruto to explain further. He trusted his master, but the scope of his words was difficult to grasp. Naruto was no ordinary person—he had always been full of surprises—but this was something else entirely.

Naruto could sense his partner's hesitation and decided to clarify. "Asura, are you the same as other Candlemon?" he asked, his voice suddenly more serious.

Asura thought about the question for a moment. "No," he answered after a brief pause. The answer was obvious to him. He was far more powerful than a regular Candlemon. He could already feel the difference in his abilities.

"Compared to other Candlemon, what is your rating?" Naruto pressed, wanting to reinforce the point.

"I am A-rank rookie," Asura replied confidently, his flame steady. He was aware of the difference. An A-rank rookie was a force to be reckoned with, able to dispatch weaker Digimon with ease. "A normal version is D-rank."

Naruto's smile grew wider. "You see that difference? It's because you inherited my abilities. I'm going to modify your Digivolutions and teach you techniques that will make you stronger than Omnimon. That's our goal—does it make sense now?"

Asura took a moment to process the information. He was far above his kind, yes. But the idea of becoming stronger than Omnimon still seemed distant and improbable. Yet, Naruto's confidence was unwavering. His words carried the weight of truth and experience.

"I understand," Asura finally said, his tone more contemplative now. "But how will this work? What will we do?"

Naruto could feel a subtle shift in Asura's energy—a small but noticeable spark of excitement. Asura didn't fully understand what he was feeling, but there was a sense of anticipation in the air.

Naruto's expression softened. "We'll start with training. I'll teach you techniques, and you'll spar with me. You'll also spar with other Digimon to test your growth. Along the way, you'll read and study different materials. But we won't rush it. We're not racing against time. We'll go at a pace that lets us enjoy the journey. After all, this isn't about pushing ourselves to the point of breaking. It's about growing steadily and strengthening our bond."

Asura nodded in understanding. "Understood, Master. What should I do now?"

Naruto smiled. "For now, let's start with a light spar. We'll work on control, technique, and learning to adapt to each other's movements. It's time to see how much you've already grown."

The training began, and Asura felt the thrill of it—the excitement of learning, the joy of growth. He was still young, but with Naruto by his side, there was no limit to what he could achieve.

With a swift motion, Naruto leaped off the boulder and approached Asura. The young Digimon, still adjusting to the new sensations of his evolving body, stood still, awaiting his master's guidance. Naruto placed his hand gently on Asura's flickering flame, a quiet acknowledgment of the bond they had developed.

"First, I'll help you get a humanoid form," Naruto announced, his voice focused and steady. "All your future evolutions will follow this shape, so it's best to start from here."

Asura nodded in understanding, his flame flickering as he processed the information. His current form, though powerful in its own right, was not designed for fast movement or intense combat. It left him vulnerable in battle, as his low mobility gave opponents an advantage. Asura understood that in order to progress, he needed a form that would better suit his growing abilities.

Naruto took a deep breath, his mind already visualizing the changes he intended to make. With a purposeful motion, he reached into his Digivice, pulling out a tub filled with liquid golden metal. This metal, though common in the Digital World, was incredibly durable—harder than any man-made material and requiring temperatures above 5000 degrees Celsius to melt. In this environment, it wasn't rare, but for their purposes, it would be just the right material.

"Asura, this metal is familiar to you. I've chosen it because it won't cause unnecessary complications. It's safe and adaptable," Naruto explained as he poured the liquid metal into a small area, forming a pool of molten gold.

With a careful yet deliberate motion, Naruto placed Asura in the metal. Asura could feel the heat emanating from the golden substance, but as a fire Digimon, he was more than capable of controlling the wax-like substance that made up his body. The heat didn't cause him pain; instead, it fueled his inner fire.

Naruto's chakra surged, entering Asura's body and intertwining with the Digivice's energy, initiating the transformation process. Asura felt the molten metal begin to meld with his form. The wax that once made up his body began to dissolve into the golden metal, reshaping under Naruto's control. The process was slow but precise, the elements merging seamlessly as Naruto sculpted the new body.

Using his mastery of elemental manipulation, Naruto shaped the metal into intricate armor, covering Asura's body. The armor formed a sleek, humanoid figure with intricate golden details, designed to be both protective and flexible. Asura's head remained exposed, allowing him to retain his flame-like hair, which now took on the appearance of a spiky ponytail. The golden gauntlets were crafted with openings at the fingers, allowing Asura to maintain dexterity while still benefiting from the protection of the metal.

As the process continued, Naruto focused on reinforcing the new form. He drew upon his knowledge of Fuinjutsu, his fingers moving quickly as he sketched seals on Asura's armor. He created weight seals, capable of producing up to ten tons of pressure, which would enhance Asura's control over his wax-based abilities and give more power to his new metallic form. The seals were not perfect, but they would suffice for now, serving to build strength and resilience. A fire sealing mark was etched into the armor, ensuring that Asura's body would not melt under extreme heat.

The final touch was a Yin-Yang symbol, a mark of balance and power, painted on Asura's back. It was a symbol of their shared energy, a constant reminder of the harmonious relationship between master and partner.

When Naruto finished, he stepped back to admire his work. Asura now stood tall, his golden, wax-like warrior form a sharp contrast to his previous, less formidable appearance. His flame danced in the air, now resembling a fiery ponytail atop his head, giving him an even more fierce look.

Asura took a step forward, his new body feeling heavier, more solid. "Master, I feel stronger... and heavier," he said, his voice carrying a mixture of awe and curiosity. He could sense that his physical stats had been enhanced, the weight of his new form lending him greater stability and power. It was an unexpected but welcome change.

Naruto smiled, feeling a sense of accomplishment. "Good. Now, we have more work to do. Follow my lead and maintain your form. Don't let the weight break you down."

He patted Asura's back with a reassuring touch, then stood in front of his partner, preparing to begin the next phase of training. Asura's new form was still developing, but this was just the beginning. The challenges ahead would push both of them to new heights, and Naruto was confident that together, they would overcome any obstacle.

"Alright, let's start with some basic movements. Focus on maintaining your balance and control," Naruto instructed, his voice calm yet firm. "Remember, this new form is only a tool. You need to learn to wield it, not let it overwhelm you."

Asura stood tall, his golden armor gleaming in the light as he focused intently on his master's words. The flames that flickered from his head swayed gently, like the hair of a warrior, signifying the beginning of a new chapter in his evolution.

Naruto, already accustomed to the weight seals that added resistance to his training, activated them on his items as well. He had placed weight seals on himself, though he used them sparingly to avoid overtaxing his body. His chakra, though powerful, wasn't infinite, and excessive use would lead to exhaustion. This limited his endurance, but Naruto had long ago learned to balance his strength and limitations.

Taking a deep breath, Naruto began stretching his body with deliberate, slow movements. Each stretch was fluid, focused on flexibility and agility, movements that Asura could replicate. Naruto demonstrated in slow motion, careful to make each position clear for his young partner to follow.

Asura's flame flickered brightly as he observed his master, his flame body not bound by the same physical limitations as Naruto. However, the armor and wax body were another story. His metallic form, though much stronger and more suited to battle, still had a significant weight. Asura found it difficult to mirror Naruto's movements due to the added resistance. The weight wasn't unbearable—only 100 kilograms—but for a beginner, it felt like an immense challenge.

Asura strained to manipulate his wax body, trying to keep it fluid and agile despite the added weight. His movements were stiff, not yet natural, as he struggled to act like a true fighter under the pressure of the added mass. He stumbled and faltered, his metallic form creaking under the effort. Despite his fire-based nature, controlling the wax and metal body with precision was something entirely new.

As the minutes ticked by, the frustration built. Asura's body repeatedly buckled, falling and rolling as he struggled to regain his balance. His flame flickered in uncertainty as he struggled to form the movements Naruto had shown him. The weight was an obstacle, but Asura was determined. He focused, regaining his composure and adjusting his form again and again, each time better than the last.

Naruto watched with a patient yet focused expression. He knew this was part of the process. Asura was still new to this form, still learning to control his body with precision and grace. The road ahead was long, but Naruto had faith in his partner's potential. Asura was high-potential, an A-rank rookie Digimon, and Naruto had seen glimpses of his power. All he needed was time, guidance, and the right experiences to help him unlock his true strength.

Without warning, Naruto surged forward, breaking into a sprint. The wind whipped through his hair as he picked up speed, his movements fluid and effortless. His chakra-enhanced speed quickly increased as he ran across the residence, darting between obstacles with ease. The ground beneath his feet became a blur as he pushed his body further, testing his limits.

Asura, determined to keep up, followed suit. At first, his pace was slower, his form still adjusting to the extra weight. But with every step, he felt himself growing stronger, pushing through the discomfort. He was only a beginner, but he could already feel the improvement, his body responding to the challenge in ways he had never experienced before.

The run wasn't an easy one, filled with hurdles and uneven terrain. Naruto didn't make it simple; he weaved around obstacles with calculated precision, forcing Asura to adjust on the fly. It wasn't just a test of speed—it was a test of adaptability, of learning to fight and move through a battlefield filled with obstacles and enemies.

Asura stumbled and fell numerous times, but each time, he rolled and quickly got back on his feet, determined to keep pace with his master. The weight of his armor didn't make it easy, but it was only through struggle that he would grow stronger.

Naruto glanced over his shoulder, seeing his partner's struggles but also witnessing his perseverance. Asura was learning, adapting, and growing with each fall. There was no shame in failure as long as one kept moving forward.

"These are necessary," Naruto called out, his voice steady despite his speed. "You're not going to run straight in a battle. The terrain, the environment, your enemies—they won't make it easy for you. You need to learn to utilize what you have, and for that, you need experience."

Naruto's encouragement was genuine, the words meant to guide and strengthen his young partner. Asura was more than just a Digimon to him; he was like a son, someone to nurture and guide through the hardships of training. Naruto didn't hold back the care he had for his partner, providing the same attention and support he had given his children during their early years.

Though Asura was falling and rolling, Naruto could see the determination in his eyes. It was that determination, combined with the training, that would make Asura powerful in the long run. Each fall, each misstep was a step closer to mastery. The path wasn't easy, but it was one Asura needed to walk, and with Naruto by his side, there was no doubt he would succeed.
