Digital Emperor (Naruto X Digimon)

Chapter 17: Chapter 17

The morning sun shone through the windows of Naruto's room, casting a warm, golden hue over the room. Yet for Naruto, it wasn't just the sunlight that made the day feel different—it was the absence of the chains that had bound his power for so long. For the first time in decades, Naruto felt truly free. The weight that had burdened him, keeping his chakra from fully blossoming, was gone. The night before had been spent meditating, awakening the dormant chakra within his body, and now, with his power no longer restrained, he felt a vitality he hadn't experienced in years.

As he sat up, stretching and feeling the energy surge through him, a thought crossed his mind. The power he had unlocked, the freedom, was only part of the shift. It was not just his chakra that was awakening—his mind, body, and spirit felt reinvigorated. It was a new beginning for him.

But, as with all things in Naruto's life, peace never lasted long.

The night before had been interrupted by the appearance of LadyDevimon, Morrigan's partner, who had revealed a side of herself that Naruto hadn't expected. Eve, as Morrigan called her, was not just any succubus; she was a fallen angel, a creature of dark desires who thrived on control and submission. Her blood-red eyes and pale skin made her hauntingly beautiful, and her dark, living presence seemed to wrap itself around her like a cloak. She had chains at her side—symbols of both her combat style and her nature—and like her counterpart Morrigan, she had an undeniable allure. But unlike Morrigan, Eve embraced sadistic tendencies. She reveled in breaking others, turning them into slaves to their own desires.

When Eve encountered Naruto, it wasn't just a meeting of two powerful beings; it became a battle of wills. The purity of Naruto's life force had been too much for her to resist, and in a moment of reckless abandon, she had tried to seduce him. The life force Naruto exuded wasn't enough to fuel Eve, but it was intoxicating, and the taste of it had sent her into a frenzy. She'd tried to push further, attempting to use her powers to break him down. But Naruto was no fool, and he wasn't going to let anyone, no matter how alluring, control him.

Their struggle had been intense—Eve had thrown everything she had at him, but Naruto's strength far outmatched hers. His combat experience and immense power easily overpowered her, sending her crashing to the ground. But even in defeat, Eve had not been upset. She had been awakened by the encounter, her desires shifting into a new obsession. Despite the struggle, Naruto had helped her up, warning her sternly that if she didn't stop, he would be forced to take more extreme measures. His message had been clear: this was not something he would tolerate.

However, it seemed that Eve hadn't learned her lesson. When Naruto woke the next morning, he found the two succubi—Morrigan and Eve—sleeping in his bed, their presence an unmistakable reminder of the events that had transpired. His warning had clearly not deterred them. As he sighed in frustration, he knew the day wouldn't be simple. His words hadn't reached their hearts the way he had hoped.

Getting out of bed quietly, Naruto went to prepare for the day. He needed to clear his mind and focus, so he made his way to the bath, hoping that a relaxing soak would help him center himself. As he stepped into the warm water, Morrigan and Eve followed him, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. Naruto had known these two for years, so their presence didn't surprise him. It wasn't the first time they had joined him in the bath to help him relax, but today, there was an unspoken tension in the air.

Morrigan, ever the attentive maid, was the first to speak, her playful tone softening the atmosphere. "Let me help you relax, Master. You've had quite the night, haven't you?"

Naruto gave a small, tired smile as he sank deeper into the water, letting its warmth seep into his muscles. "You could say that," he replied, feeling the weight of the previous night's events still lingering in the back of his mind. "It seems like no matter how much I try to keep things calm, they always find a way to get... complicated."

Eve, who had been silent until now, looked at him with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Oh, don't pretend you didn't enjoy it," she teased, her voice dripping with confidence. "You know you're tempting. Even someone like me can't resist a taste of what you have to offer."

Naruto's expression darkened, though he wasn't surprised by her words. He'd known Eve's nature well enough by now. "I've told you both before," he said firmly, his voice carrying a seriousness that cut through the playful banter. "I won't give in to temptation, no matter how tempting it is. There are boundaries, and I expect you both to respect them."

Morrigan, sensing the shift in tone, quickly stepped in. "Forgive Eve, Master," she said with a soft laugh, though there was a hint of unease in her voice. "She gets a bit carried away sometimes."

Naruto remained silent, his gaze focused on the water, lost in thought. There was a part of him that sympathized with Morrigan and Eve—he understood their desires, their struggles. But another part of him, the part that had learned hard lessons over the years, knew that he couldn't give in to the chaos they brought. He had his own path to follow, and though it wasn't always easy, he couldn't afford to be distracted by their affections.

"Just... be careful," Naruto muttered, sinking deeper into the bath. "I can't keep cleaning up after you two forever."

As the steam from the water rose around them, Morrigan and Eve exchanged a look, understanding the unspoken message Naruto had given. For now, they would remain by his side, but Naruto knew that the balance between them was delicate. The power he had unlocked within himself was no small thing, and there were others who would undoubtedly come seeking it. What had started as a simple moment of relaxation was now the backdrop for the complex relationships that intertwined his life. The morning was peaceful for now, but he knew that peace wouldn't last forever.

As Naruto sat in the bath, his mind started to wander, drifting through thoughts and possibilities that had been lingering in the back of his mind. Despite the calm of the moment, he couldn't stop the questions from bubbling up, questions about his purpose, his past, and his place in this world. He had been reincarnated into this new reality, but why? What was the reason behind it?

The Digital World, the place that had become his new home, was a realm unlike anything he had ever known. A place that took inspiration from the real world and formed creatures, stories, and concepts based on things that had become famous or significant. One of those things, Naruto knew all too well, was the manga that chronicled his life. He had read it as a child, and though it had ended long before his birth, he couldn't help but wonder if the Digital World had somehow drawn him here, taking his soul and placing it in a new body, a new form.

It was a theory that he hadn't fully accepted yet, but the idea lingered in his mind. He could be some kind of digital construct, a being made from the stories, the memories, and the experiences of a character who existed in another world. It was a strange thought, and Naruto wasn't sure what to make of it. But the more he thought about it, the more it seemed plausible. Still, there was a part of him that refused to fully believe it. If he wasn't the real Naruto, then who was he? What was his true identity?

Then, there was the possibility that he had been summoned by a higher being, a deity or force with a purpose for him. He had read enough fantasy stories to know that this kind of thing wasn't entirely out of the realm of possibility. Hestiamon, Gaiamon, Shakamon—these were some of the higher beings who might have summoned him, but no one had contacted him yet. Maybe they were waiting for the right moment, or maybe they had already moved on. Naruto wasn't sure, but he wasn't going to waste time worrying about things he couldn't control. He had enough on his plate already.

His mind refocused, shifting away from existential questions to the more immediate concerns in his life. He had his partner to care for, and that was a responsibility he took seriously. He had training to undergo, a team to meet with, and a social life to maintain. Dates, friendships, and interactions with others—these were all important, too. He had his hands full, but it wasn't a burden. In fact, it was something that gave him a sense of purpose, a sense of normalcy in a world that was far from normal.

As if on cue, Morrigan's voice broke through his thoughts, pulling him back to the present. She spoke softly from behind him as she continued to massage his shoulders, her hands working their magic as always. "Yes, we will make sure that you will be happy and satisfied. I think Hilda and Ruri will join easily if Master desires. Hilda and Ruri both love you. Ruri has always been vocal about it."

Naruto's lips curled into a faint smile, though he didn't let his thoughts linger on the subject too long. He knew Morrigan's intentions well—she was hinting at a path he wasn't sure he wanted to take. A harem? It wasn't that he didn't care for Morrigan or the others; they were important to him, and he appreciated their companionship. But the idea of multiple partners, all vying for his attention, wasn't something he was ready to embrace, at least not yet. He respected their desires, but he wasn't sure if it was something he could give in to.

He thought of Hilda, the demon lord who had a strong bond with him. He knew that if he ever asked, she would be more than willing to give herself to him. But Hilda was different—her connection to him wasn't just physical; it was something deeper, something more complex. He didn't want to ruin that with a hasty decision. Hilda deserved more than just a casual encounter.

Then there was Ruri, a powerful and prideful girl. She was violent and headstrong, a berserker in every sense of the word. Ruri had a complicated history, one tied to the darkness of their world, and her emotions ran deep. She loved him, but the thought of sharing him with someone else was something that didn't sit well with her. Naruto understood that, but it also made the idea of a harem even more complicated. He wasn't sure he was ready to take that step, especially with someone as fiercely independent as Ruri.

Morrigan, on the other hand, was more open about her desires, though she, too, had her own complexities. Her relationship with Naruto was rooted in both affection and a shared history, and she had been by his side for many years. But even so, Naruto wasn't sure if pursuing a more intimate connection with her—or anyone else—was the right move.

The deeper questions, the thoughts about his purpose and his place in this world, were still on his mind, but for now, he could focus on the things in front of him. He had a life to live, people to care for, and responsibilities to uphold. The rest would come when it was meant to.

"I appreciate it, Morrigan," Naruto said quietly, breaking the silence. "But I think for now, I just need to focus on what's in front of me. We'll figure it out as we go."

As the steam from the bath swirled around them, Naruto relaxed into the warmth, his mind still buzzing with thoughts and the playful teasing from the women around him. His gaze remained fixed on the rippling water, even as Morrigan's hands continued to knead his shoulders, and Eve's teasing remarks filled the air. Despite the lighthearted banter, Naruto knew they were trying to poke at his confidence, to see if he would react.

"I think Ruri would try to chop you up for suggesting it," Naruto chuckled, imagining Ruri's battle-hardened expression as she swung her massive war axe at anyone who dared to suggest something like a harem. Ruri was a fierce and prideful fighter—her berserker nature would never allow her to share her affections with anyone else. Naruto had seen her in action before, and without his chakra to enhance him, he knew he wouldn't stand a chance in close combat against her.

Eve's voice chimed in teasingly, breaking his thoughts. "Oooh, is master scared? I thought you didn't fear anyone and could make anyone submit to your rule."

Naruto raised an eyebrow at the playful jab but didn't rise to it. Instead, he smirked, "Not really, I could easily handle Ruri and all of you." His tone was casual, but there was an underlying confidence that hinted at the power he was beginning to uncover within himself.

Eve scoffed, her eyes narrowing mischievously. "Master, aren't you being too arrogant? Any Mega-level Digimon would down you in bed, you know. If you met Lilithmon, she would drain you completely, and you wouldn't even dent her desire."

The words stung a bit, but Naruto's expression didn't falter. He could tell Eve wasn't just speaking out of bravado—she genuinely believed her own superiority. She was a strong being, and in her mind, no one could stand up to the might of a Mega-level Digimon, especially one like Lilithmon. Eve's confidence and sadistic nature led her to believe that no one—especially not him—could challenge her in that regard.

But Naruto was not so easily deterred. He could sense her doubt, her dismissal of his potential. And in that moment, he decided to show her just how wrong she was. "Trust me, you haven't seen my growth yet. My powers work differently. Now that the seal is off, my strength will grow fast," Naruto declared, his voice steady and assured. He was ready to prove not just to Eve, but to himself, that his potential was far greater than any of them could imagine.

With a slight wave of his hand, the space around them began to ripple. The world they were in shifted, and the bath dissolved into nothingness, replaced by a vast, starry expanse—an infinite stretch of space. The three of them now stood in the cosmos, surrounded by the swirling beauty of the universe.

In the distance, they saw an older version of Naruto, glowing with golden energy, his figure towering over the landscape. He stood tall, his aura radiating immense power, and with a single gesture, he launched a massive spiraling ball of energy toward a distant planet. The resulting explosion shook the entire cosmos. The force was unlike anything the girls had ever witnessed before—an unimaginable display of raw power.

Eve's eyes widened, her respect for Naruto growing, though she still couldn't quite bring herself to believe it. "Impressive, but I still think you're delusional. You really think you can reach that level?" she muttered, a hint of skepticism creeping into her voice.

Morrigan, on the other hand, was more contemplative. She had seen the growth Naruto was capable of, but even she found this display difficult to fully accept. "I can see why you'd believe that, but even reaching the level of a Peak Leomon in a month seems… optimistic," she replied, her voice measured. She had given him a high estimate, knowing that he was special—but even she wasn't convinced he could reach the heights of Mega-level power so quickly.

Naruto chuckled, his usual confidence unwavering. "I know it looks ridiculous, doesn't it? But you'll see the changes. In one month, I'll reach beyond High Champion level and defeat a Digimon of your choice. What do you girls think?" His laughter was lighthearted, almost as if the challenge excited him. This was the kind of energy that made him feel alive—the drive to push himself, to see how far he could go, and to prove his worth.

Eve, still skeptical but intrigued, gave him a playful warning. "I really don't want to change forms, so please act with caution," she said, her eyes flashing as she bit his ear lightly, drawing a drop of blood. There was a dangerous edge to her, a reflection of the darkness she carried within, but there was also a strange attraction to Naruto's unshakable confidence.

Morrigan smiled at his words, though there was a certain wariness in her gaze. "I don't know what to say about this except that I'll believe it when I see it. Master wouldn't like me to lie, would he?" she teased, wrapping her arms around his back as she pulled herself closer.

"I wouldn't," Naruto replied, his expression serious now, though there was a lightness in his voice. "But know that I don't indulge in wild fantasies. Such things are beneath me." His words were firm, yet there was an underlying warmth to them that made it clear he didn't mind their teasing. It was just a part of his nature to be this confident, this certain of himself.

He didn't mind the doubts, the skepticism. He had faced far worse in his past, and if he had to prove himself again, he was ready. The challenge excited him, and he knew that whatever lay ahead, he would be ready for it.

As the scene returned to normal, the women stood silently, reflecting on the display they had just witnessed. Naruto's unwavering confidence, his belief in his growth, had left an impression on them. He was not the same as before. There was something about him that was different—something more powerful, more untamed. And though they doubted him now, deep down, they knew that Naruto had the potential to achieve anything he set his mind to.

"Let's see how far you can really go, Naruto," Morrigan whispered to herself, a smirk playing at her lips. She had always believed in him, and now, she would watch as he proved everyone wrong.
