Chapter 46: Chapter 44
Yes, everyone.
The Hall was filled with the Heads of all the Noble Houses, and even the Gods of Asgard were present there.
Raizel immediately recognised Odin, who was carrying the appearance of an Old Man, wearing an eyepatch on his left, and holding a walking cane in his hands.
As someone who could not age, it was just how he chose to appear, but his power could not be mistaken in the least.
His mother had told him that the old man was deceptive and that he was stronger than what he showed.
By his side were two hulking young men with flowing white-gold hair and golden eyes.
The one carrying the hammer was undoubtedly Thor, and the other, more handsome than his brother, was definitely Baldur.
"Lord Odin, Lord Baldur, Lord Thor," He smiled their way and politely bowed. "I hope you are enjoying your day in our Devildom."
"If I did not know better, I would have thought you were Lucifer Morningstar, Prince Raizel. You do look just like him, except that you bear Lilith's hair and eyes," Odin curiously said, waiting for him to say something, but Raizel was not going to say anything he wanted to hear.
"Thank you, Lord Odin. Though I have never seen Father Lucifer, I have heard and read that there was no man as handsome as him. I hope I will grow up to honour his image."
There were a few chuckles around the hall and a lot of bemused smiles.
"Oh you certainly will, Prince. Your mother more than just honours the Eveningshade's Image." Odin meaningfully said, and Raizel smiled at his words.
"Freya," He took his Maid's name and grinned in his heart when he saw the concentration on Thor and Baldur's expressions.
"Yes, Master."
When the Silver-haired Lucifuge answered him, they understood whom he had called, and their expressions instantly eased.
Freya smiled in the direction of her parents as she walked towards the Monument of Life.
As soon as she approached it, the Shields around it were lifted, and without hesitation, she created an incision on her hand and placed it on it.
Everyone waited for the results as she poured her Mana into it, and there was the slightest trembling in the Hall, which made them concentrate their eyes.
[Freya Lucifuge. Class: Ultimate]
The result tensed up both Rias and Sona, and they waited with bated breaths to see if she would pull more Mutated Pieces than them.
One by one, her Evil Pieces flowed out of the Moment of life.
The Queen, two Bishops, two Knights, and a Rook were all normal, following seven Pawns were normal as well, but then one Mutated Pawn came out.
Both Rias and Sona knew how valuable this Piece was. The Former had one, and the latter had not received one.
Freya happily smiled when Ajuka congratulated her on receiving two Mutated Pieces, and then she walked straight into her parents' awaiting arms.
She stayed by their side and watched as Ingvild walked towards the Monument.
Everyone in the Hall was curious about Raizel Darcaedes' Queen, having never seen or heard about her before, however, when her bleeding hand landed on the Monument and it trembled, their hearts skipped a beat.
It took a while for the results to come out, and what they saw on the screen made them forget to breathe.
[Ingvild Leviathan. Class: Empyrean]
Raizel's eyes immediately concentrated on the word "Empyrean".
What did his Mother do to her Blood? He frowned, but he was happy in his heart.
She had given him a gift that he would forever be indebted for.
One by one, Ingvild's Evil Pieces flew out of the Monument.
The Queen, two Bishops, two Knights, two Rooks, and eight Pawns.
Everyone stared at the fifteen Pieces that revolved around her, spotting the three Mutated ones.
A Mutated Knight, and two Mutated Pawns.
Her result made Rias and Sona feel insecure. It was clear that Ingvild was more talented than them, and this moment flipped something inside the two which was going to shape their future progress.
It was especially the case with Sona, who felt that Rias, Freya, and Ingvild were all more talented than her...
"Congratulations, Princess," Ajuka said to the Purple-haired girl, who accepted the chest from his hand.
"Thank you, Lord Ajuka," She bowed to him and then smiled at Raizel as she walked over to stand by his side.
Sirzechs, who was standing next to Thor, was informing the God of Thunder about the significance of Mutated Pieces, especially Mutated Pawns.
After Freya returned to his side, Raizel bid the people in the Hall farewell, excusing himself away by saying that they had to prepare for tomorrow as it was an important day for them.
After he took everyone away, and Serafall and Sirzechs left with Odin and his two sons, the Lords and Ladies of Devildom stayed behind.
"Who are her parents, Ajuka?" Zekram asked, furrowing his brows, and the Satan Blue quickly verified Ingvild's Ancestry.
"Her father is Adrius Leviathan. Her mother is his sister, Adriana Leviathan..." He stopped, and only Zekram and Mysiera, who were by his side, saw that despite being a Pureblood, Ingvild also had an "Unnamed Mother", a human, which implied surrogacy.
Her age and everything made sense, and they decided to not reveal anything more to the people in the Hall.
"Adrius and Adriana's daughter?"
"I hope she has not inherited her mother's madness..."
"She's extremely talented. We have another Empyrean Devil..."
"Does she have links to the Old Satan Faction?"
"Maybe..."
"House Darcaedes never took a side. Queen Pandora is impartial."
"She's Prince Raizel's Queen, so, I don't think we have to worry about her loyalties..."
...
...
...
There were a lot of conversations going on inside the Hall, and thankfully, no one was reacting negatively to Ingvild.
In fact, most of the Lords and Ladies were happy to have a Leviathan officially back in the Devildom.
"We can name her the Heir of House Leviathan..." Someone suggested, and this started another round of discussion.
"Let's not get ahead of ourselves." Zekram's calm voice entered their ears. "The Old Satan Faction are still our enemies, and Katerea Leviathan is the Head of House Leviathan. Since Pandora Darcaedes has allowed a Leviathan Princess to serve as Prince Raizel's Queen, she must have her own plans. We do not need to do anything."
"You are right, Lord Zekram." Lord Sitri agreed with the words, and everyone finally put a stop to their thoughts on the matter.
On the other side, as soon as Raizel and everyone returned to the Darcaedes Palace, a round of congratulations began, and both Freya and Ingvild graciously accepted them.
"Are you going to find some Peerage members too?" Rias asked the Silver-haired Maid, who shook her head.
"No. I am not interested in forming my own Peerage just yet." Freya shook her head.
"How about you, Ingvild?" Sona asked the Leviathan, who was staring at the chest in her arms.
Her orange eyes glanced at Raizel, asking for his opinion, and he smiled at her.
"You have my permission."
Ingvild smiled and nodded her head before looking at Sona.
"I will not actively try to find them, but if it happens, it happens."
"Okay," The Sitri smiled at her answer. "Excuse me, I have to get ready for tomorrow's battle and return home." She informed everyone and shared a hug with Raizel before leaving.
"I should go as well," Rias suddenly said and smiled when all her Peerage, including the Half-Fallen, gathered behind her. "You can stay here if you want, Akeno."
There was a hint of dissatisfaction behind her words which only her Bishop understood.
"It's fine," The raven-haired girl shook her head and then smiled at Raizel, who, to her glee, stepped forward and planted a kiss on her forehead.
He then did the same to little Shirone, who was expectantly looking at him, and then tightly hugged Rias before he stepped away.
In an instant, the lively atmosphere was gone.
He glanced at Kuroka, who smiled at him, and then at Mito, who had a brow raised at him in question.
"Did you sleep with Akeno?" She bluntly asked him, and he nodded his head to her.
It seemed as if she wanted to say something on the matter, but decided to remain quiet.
Her eyes excitedly looked at Kuroka, but the Nekoshou turned her down before she could even ask her for a spar.
"I am tired, ~nya..." She lazily stretched her arms.
"Okay..." The Fox then looked towards Freya and Ingvild, and thankfully, the former agreed to accompany her.
"I will join you."
"Thank you!" Mito happily said and then skipped away, taking Freya along with her.
"Will you keep Ingvild company?" He asked his Neko, who pouted at him.
"Where are you going?"
"I promised Misla that I would spend the evening with her."
Kuroka sighed at his words and nodded to her.
The two girls watched him leave, and Ingvild silently followed the Nekoshou, who was happily walking by her side, swaying her two tails.
"Have you met Cleria?"
"No."
"Let's go see her then." Kuroka beamed and turned to walk in the direction of the Belial Princess' Room, but they did not find her inside it. "Must be in the Library."
And she was right.
The two found Cleria and Aradia in the library, busy reading a book, and then Belial Princess raised her brow when she sensed the connection from the unfamiliar face.
"Ingvild Leviathan. I am Raizel Darcaedes' Queen."
And when the Belial learned who she was, she was stunned.
Kuroka grinned in her heart when she saw how insecure Ingvild made Cleria feel.
The Belial Princess had been working hard to prove herself to Raizel, and she had been appointed to act as the Queen of the Peerage by their King.
Now that the real Queen was here, she wondered how Cleria would react to the changes.
It was all too amusing to her.
