Chapter 235.2

Chapter 235.2. Demon Generals

Small black cats rushed in to chase down the fleeing demons, clawing their way into the fray. Normally, such tiny creatures could be crushed with a single blow, but they darted forward at lightning speed, sinking their sharp fangs into the wounded high-ranking demons.

These small black cats possessed a power far more demonic than the demons themselves, ominous and unimaginable.

Astaroth clicked his tongue and assessed the battlefield. Belial, who had been at ground zero, was already gone without a trace, and most of the high-ranking demons were injured.

“How dare they mock us!”

Beelzebub pressed his feet into the ground and tried to take off with a flap of his wings, but something leaped out from the shadow at his feet.

[Hamon Steel King’s Collapse]

[Hamon Steel King’s Collapse]

It was a girl dressed in battle gear and another in traditional Japanese attire. The two of them threw punches from both sides, targeting Beelzebub’s temples. The sheer amount of fighting spirit contained in their fists made the air crackle with electricity.

Beelzebub’s barrier was nullified by the blow, and unable to escape the damage, he took the hit head-on. The fighting spirit reverberated through his body, and his form crumbled into a swarm of tiny flies, scattering as his life force faded.

“Ahh, the power of a beautiful girl, Over-Girl!”

“Stop goofing off, Shizuku!”

The two flipped backward in midair and landed gracefully. Although Astaroth was shaken by the swift defeat of his fellow demon general, he quickly retreated, raising his hand to increase the distance between him and his opponents.

[High Shining Missile]

He launched a missile of light at the speed of sound, aiming to obliterate his enemies. Astaroth, the fallen angel, was a master of both holy and dark magic. Though not the most powerful, this spell was nearly impossible to dodge due to its speed.

[Mirror House Doll]

But just as the missile seemed to hit the two girls, their bodies shattered like glass, leaving Astaroth staring in disbelief.

“A decoy illusion! Since when?!”

“Hehe, my support is flawless!”

Realizing that his enemies had been concealed by someone hidden beyond his sight, Astaroth tried to regain his stance, but the opening was already fatal.

“Red Mode”

The illusion vanished, revealing the girl in battle gear some distance away. As she clenched her fists and feet, an overwhelming power surged from her small frame. Even Astaroth, a demon general, felt the pressure as the air vibrated, kicking up dust.

A girl wrapped in a crimson aura, wielding immense strength.

“You are no human, are you?!”

The sheer amount of mana far exceeded that of a human. Instinctively, Astaroth understood that her power came from the same source as dungeons, and he yelled at the girl in fury.

“Indeed, I am no human. I am a mysterious being, a fairy.”

The girl gave a chilling smile and locked her cold, mechanical eyes on Astaroth. At that moment, he realized she was far more dangerous and eerie than any demon. Trembling, he began casting a spell.

[Shining Feather]

Gray wings sprouted from his back, radiating light. Each feather transformed into a laser, aimed at the girl. The laser shower was impossible to dodge, and as it shot toward her, it struck, sending brilliant lines across her body.

“Laser attacks… You should know their weakness.”

However, not a single scratch or strand of hair was damaged. The aura surrounding her easily dissipated the lasers.

“Lasers are too weak against defense barriers. They focus too much on speed, so even a thin layer of fighting spirit can block them. That’s one of the reasons angels are so weak, Astaroth.”

“Grr! You’ve fought me before, haven’t you?!”

Astaroth roared, enraged, as he glared at the girl before him. She tilted her head slightly, giving a thin smirk.

“Ah yes, Astaroth, the one who becomes useless once lasers are countered.”

“I can use more than just lasers!”

[High Dark Flame]

[High Accelerator]

Dark flames shot toward the girl. The flames engulfed her body in an instant, threatening to incinerate her, but the flames only burned through her afterimage before disappearing.

Realizing she had used acceleration techniques, Astaroth attempted to cast a counterspell.

[High Storm Sword]

But by the time he noticed, the girl had already moved behind him, crystal-like sword in hand. The sword struck with the force of a storm, slicing through his body. The raging winds tore him apart, scattering him to the air.

With the demon generals easily defeated, the remaining high-ranking demons fell into confusion. The black cats took advantage of this opening, tearing into them, while Serika, clad in her reinforced armor, shot them down. Magic flew through the air, as Shizuku and the others finished off the remaining demons, collapsing their defensive line in an effortless rout.

“I can’t help but feel that Yukihana and the others look like villains.”

“Well, sometimes you can’t afford to choose your methods if you want to win.”

Yukihana grimaced as she looked at the corpses of the slaughtered demons, but as far as Sakimori was concerned, there was no issue. In battle, even the villain wins as long as they come out on top.

There had been no future where they could have won without considering the sheer numbers of the enemy, so Sakimori shrugged and began gathering their spoils of war.
